Round 1 ends as 15 characters get shipped off to limbo.
LORI MORNING gets the dubious distinction of being the first to go with 6 votes.
Getting 5 votes, FLYNT BROJJ goes crazy at the thought of losing the chance to be with his idols. BEPPO just flies off into space in search of a giant banana or something, while ZE TONGUE 'as nozzing els to zay to those who voted againzt heem. Oh, and it looks like CUB won't be continuing the family business, either.
GRINN gets the grin wiped off his face with 4 votes.
Getting 3 votes each, KRYPTO[b] goes off to sulk in his Doghouse of Solitude, [b]FIREFIST gets put out, LEETA 87 gets the banyo peel again, SUPER-PHRENOLOGY LAD goes back to feeling the bumps on people's heads, LESTER SPIFFANY drowns his sorrows in money, ECHO-CHAMBER CHET rebounds away, DOUBLE HEADER fights with himself and ATMOS gets a big ego check because he didn't make it past the first round of Favorite Legionnaire Survivor either. Welcome to the end of Round 2, all you new players out there! Thanks for playing!
With 6 votes, SPACEOPOLY LAD gets the dreaded "Go directly to Takron-Galtos. Do not pass Go" card. And WHIZZY coughs up a super-fast hairball.
THE MESS gets hosed down with 5 votes.
4 voters get shocked at the amount of tears EYEFUL ETHEL is shedding all over the place, and STREAKY speeds away to keep his fur from getting wet. STUN gets stunned after hearing that all these people don't even know who he is, and COMET mourns over the fact that Proty II is the only hope left for the Super Pets.
Quite a few characters tied with 3 votes, but previous round votes came into play yet again. So once again, BLOOD CLAW gets his Khundian ego bruised, ANTENNAE BOY gets a bad connection, PLAID LAD gets told that plaid is sooo last century, JUNGLE KING gets arrested for violating the Tarzan copyright, and SPLITTER gets told to, well, split. TUSKER finds out that horns are not the long, hard objects that females want to find on their men, BOUNTY shoots himself with his own gun, STYX leaves vowing that her sister won't get much farther than she did and SUPERBOY (KAL) finally gets the message about being a panel hog.

A big welcome to all the new faces I've seen this round and a big hello to the old faces too.
Round 3 results:
CANNUS gets muzzled with 8 votes.
With 5 votes, POLECAT gets shipped off to the Legion World showers in an attempt to remove his stench. ABYSS voids himself by accident, BRAWLER and ABSORBANCY BOY drain each other dry and the Wanderers mourn as their leader CELEBRAND takes a fall.
With 4 votes, WESTERNER kicks the bucket, QUESTAR got the Every-Ten-Years-Monster curse and CHERRY BOMB and X-BOMB BETTY had to be kicked out before they blew up the place.
Multiple ties with 3 votes each, but previous round results came into play again. HATE-FACE went because nobody can really understand what exactly he does. Less ties to the past means no ELASTIC LAD, though even if Jimmy Olsen had been a 30th century native he probably wouldn't have made it much farther anyway. GOLDEN BOY was voted out because he'd be more at home in the Interplanetary Bank,POLICY PAM because she wouldn't take no for an answer and FORTRESS LAD because he kept trying to get people to enter him. CERA KESH went to "play connect the dots with he face" (SW6 Dirk was such a jerk!), and STILETTA goes back home to join her sister Styx. Oh, sisterly love...

I'd like to thank everyone who voted this round. The high turnout just makes me feel so loved
Unfortunately, the following characters don't seem to be loved at all:
9 voters chose tp punish MNEMONIC KID for her part in the Fortress Ladstory.
VISI-LAD cried his eyes out upon being told he had 8 votes. 8 voters also wanted to forget LADY MEMORY's existence, and ELVO/ELVAR and the boring Wanderers mini as well.
DARTALON/DARTALG and AVIAX/ORNITHO joined their teammate with 7 votes, and 7 voters were also anti-ANTI-LAD.
Looks like fans wll only settle for the one true Allon as DRIANNA ALLON is removed with 6 votes, amd the one-shot hero MEMBRAIN gets swept away as well.
And finally, just barely getting voted off with 5 votes each, IMMORTO/RE-ANIMAGE rounds up the Wanderers clique, KONK! gets her head ahnded to her, AMP GIRL gets removed for having such a silly name, BLACKOUT BOY learns that he can't beat a good Talokian, PARTICON gets thrown out for having such a horrible costume and DENSITY still can't get it through his(her?) thick skull that s/he's not wanted. Oh, and SENSOR gets the dubious honor of being the first onscreen Legionnaire to be voted out. Guess not even her new body and personality could quite save her.

Round 5 is over!
The Oversight Watch is decimated as BRAINSTORM gets 8 votes and REPULSE and TWINE follow with 6. BABBAGE also konks out with 6 votes.
Guess not even Matter-Eater Lad the Series could save RANN ANTAR, who got 5 votes.
With 4 votes each, the Khunds mourn as one of their last candidates, FLEDERWEB, gets his wing clipped; LUME blacks out, ION can't make it out of her shell; TOMB just seems too yucky; IMPULSE (BART) blows everyone's brains up; MAGNETIC KID (SPY) gets found out again and DYNAMO BOY is too set in his pirate ways. Oh, and fans felt that GIGI CUSIMANO was better off as a non-powered supporting character.

Round 6 is over! Unfortunately, I don't think Miss Terious has gotten my PM about her votes yet, but a big welcome to you and the other newbies and a big thank you for playing!
7 voters apparently thought that the PERSUADER'S DAUGHTER LIALLA(?) was way too new to merit a spot in the new series.
6 voters decided that one Flash relative was enough, thus throwing DON and DAWN ALLEN out of the game. Also, MAGNO BOY just couldn't compete with the 3 other Braalians who are still in the running.
With 5 votes, EVOLVO becomes the Heroes of Lallor's first casualty. "Fake" Legionnaires SIZE LAD and COMMAND KID get the axe, the flirtatious QUAKE KID gets removed in favor of Sun Boy and ANIMAL LAD has to take his talents elsewhere- lime maybe a circus.
Multiple characters tied with 4 votes each, but previous round votes decided that IVY gets shipped off to daycare (I'm surprised she lasted this long) and MONICA SADE should stay a casualty of Zero Hour. And the following four had the same number of previous round votes too, MANDALLA, CHAMELEON KID, RUSH and PSYCHE join the exodus out. And thus Quantum Queen is left as the last Wanderer.

Since there are a lot of promising characters in Legion history, I've decided that the final 25 will still be the new Legion's roster, but the next 25 will be enrolled in the Legion Academy. So if you don't want a certain character in the Legion but still want them to have a part in the new series, don't vote them out just yet.

Round 7 is over!
6 voters decided SUGYN was too much of a blowhard to fit into the Legion.
RETRO was too outdated for 5 voters.
A whole bunch of characters tied with 4 votes each. VEILMIST teleports out of the game with all the elegance of a queen, but the Khunds aren't too happy about it. Poor PLANT LAD doesn't make it out of the Super Stalag this time either, and CHARMA doesn't make it out of Takron-Galtos either. The Super Rejects take another big blow as MICRO and PHANTOM LAD are wiped out, and CELESTE ROCKFISH's green body don't help her chances. PORCUPINE PETE becomes the first Sub to fall, ENERGY BOY hangs his head in shame once more and ECHO bounces straight out of Legion World.
And since that's only 11, we have to look at those who got 3 votes. In a shocking twist, 2 of those tied with the most number of previous round votes. So, RADIATION ROY leaves to get some therapy, and SHIKARI:gasp: gets thresholded out of here. Good grief, I was sure she'd make it to the top 50 at least!

Round 7 is over!
6 voters thought INFERNO (SANDY) was too much of a hothead, RADION was too energetic and DEVLIN O'RYAN didn't reflect well on them wither. 5 voters and the Super Stalag of Space strike again as BLOCKADE BOY gets torn down and WEIGHT WIZARD gets sent to the brig. A whole mess of characters tie with 4 votes each, and 5 of them get eliminated. ROND VIDAR gets lost in his time cube, RAINBOW GIRL sashays her way out and KENT SHAKESPEARE joins many of his fellow TMK creations on the outside. Also, it seems as though SHVAUGHN ERIN is destined to be a supporting character yet again, and LIGHTNING LORD can't escape from his fate as a villain.

Round 8 ends with 8 characters being swept under the rug.
Xera of Manna-5, probably the last of the somewhat more obscure characters (and virtually the only one left on the list without a smilie of her own) gets ousted by 5 votes.
And getting 3 votes each, we have: THUNDER and KID QUANTUM, the left-out Legionnaires of the reboot era; REFLECTO, whom we never really did get to see in action before he died anyway; a trio of disgruntled rejects, STORM BOY, ESPER LASS and RONN-KARR, and finally, the big dupe himself, Duplicate Boy. We dom't want you making our weaker yet more interesting Legionnaires seem redundant with your uber-powers, you big lunk!

Round 9 ends with another 8 being voted off.
6 voters thought that poor CALAMITY KING was too unlucky. They'd better watch out for banyo peels on the way home. Also, BEAST BOY was neutered with 6 votes, leaving only the gals Gas Girl and Life Lass to represent the Heroes of Lallor.
5 voters eliminated virtually all ties to the 20th century by voting against LABA LANG, INSECT QUEEN.
Legionnaire "replacements" are frowned upon, it seems, as MAGNO and KARATE KID II found out when they got 4 votes each.
As usual, multiple characters tied with 3 votes each, but previous round votes spelled doom for the last 3. DEV-EM, the Knave from Krypton, finds out just how unpopular Kryptonians can be around here; CATSPAW follows Beast Boy out like a poor lovestruck kitten (and decreases the numbers of the TMK creations too) and TELLUS gets confused by it all (and becomes the first of the V3 team to be dropped). Not even characters who were "real" Legionnaires are safe anymore.
That leaves us with 69:

Round 10 spells doom for six more characters.
5 voters decided that YERA's impersonation of Violet could not be forgotten so easily. Also, 5 voters thought that purple POWER BOY would clash with the drapes, and that MENTALLA's hypnotism couldn't compete withy Saturn Queen's. And PROTY II couldn't carry the Super-pets torch any further.
4 voters wanted to distance themselves from the Superman family even more by voting off LAUREL KENT.
Finally, 3 characters tied with 3 votes each, but previous round votes decided to send SHADOW KID off to join his wife Lady Memory.
Now, we should have only 63 characters on the list, but I just noticed a very grievous error that I have made: it seems that the White Witch not only wasn't on the list for the last round, but she was never on the list for the first round either! I must have deleted her by accident before posting the first round! I'm really sorry for this, and I've double-checked to make sure that no other Legionnaire has been left off the list. I'm really sorry.

Yikes! I spent the whole day thinking it was only August 22! Sorry about that!
Well, Round 11 is over.
CALORIE QUEEN's been pretty lucky these past two rounds, but now her luck's run out with 6 votes.
SATURN QUEEN, the only queen here who was actual royalty, gets dethroned with 5 votes. Guess now was not a good round to be closely associated with Tenzil.
Continuing the trend of eliminating queens, both COMET QUEEN and QUANTUM QUEEN (incidentally, she was the only Wanderer who made it this far!)get bumped off with 4 votes. KID PSYCHO must have been mistaken for a sultan because of his turban and so he was similarly offed.
Finally, 5 characters tied with 3 votes each, but previous round votes decided that TYROC was not to have a place in this Legion either. But at least he can still be President of Earth. And BLOKgoes the way his home plant, Dryad, did in the postboot. Another oldtimer gets a send-off.
And that leaves only 57:

Round 12 is over, and seven more characters are tossed into the rift, probably never to be seen again (for the rest of the game, anyway). This has been the hardest round yet for many voters.
Poor MONSTRESS gets deleted with 6 votes; but at least she made it farther this time than she ever did before.
5 voters decided to send LIFE LASS back to Lallor; both Kinetix and Quislet can do what she can anyway. DRAGONMAGE was junked because, hey, everyone knows Ultra Boy should be the only Legionnaire associated with green dragons. CRYSTAL KID should curse the fact that his entire Legion tenure lay in the 5 Year Gap; he didn't even make it into the Academy this time around. And STONE BOY seems to be the eternal substitute.
4 characters tied with 4 votes, and this has been the most important tie broken by previous round votes so far. But those votes declared that COMPUTO and GEAR had both better pack and move away to Warworld or something. (Now that's a love team I'm surprised I haven't thought of before )
And so we have the Final 50 characters, all of who have a pretty good chance of making it into the Legion:

This is a very interesting list. Some observations I've made:
Only 40 of the characters are "real" Legionnaires; that is, Legionnaires whose memberships have been depicted in the actual comic book for a somewhat significant period of time. Of the remaining ten, 5 are 5 Year Gappers (4 of those being Subs), 1 is a Sub, 1 is a Heroine of Lallor, 1 is an Amazer, 1 is an Academy student and 1 is a villain/traitor.
More equal opportunity in the Legion: 23 of them are female, 5 are from racial minorities and 10 are distinctively alien in appearance.
Unsurprisingly, 35 of them had their origins in the Adventure Era; 8 had their origins during and around the Levitz issues, 5 are postboot characters and 2 were created during TMK.
Just some boring observations

This was indeed a most interesting round.
5 voters decided to blow NIGHTWIND away... and seeing as how she had the least screen time of all the characters on the list, it was inevitable. She did well, though.
Getting 4 votes each, NIGHT GIRL's time came up and TIMBER WOLF went to see her off by howling at the moon.

This round was a heartbreaker. 4 voters put POLAR BOY on ice, and GATES was cruelly squished out of the game. 3 voters also decided to give SPIDER GIRL a bad hair year.
The annoying thing is, all of these 3 characters could have been saved through immunity votes, but since the rules say immunity won't be in effect until next round, away they go. Other fans of these characters shouldn't worry, though, there will be at least one more bring back round for this game
Now for the lucky characters who managed to get immunity. 4 voters propelled LEVIATHAN up with 4 votes, and KINETIX, XS and INFECTIOUS LASS managed to get two votes each, so all four of these guys will enjoy immunity for the next two rounds.

I really like Kinetix too! But at this late stage there are just so many good characters left! And when it comes down to making hard choices - that whole horrible terraform debacle is still WAY too fresh in my memory.

Comrade TiJulk, we have more in common than I thought! Gates is one of my faves too - I really wish he had been brought back last round.
Blacula - I see your point, but that whole terrorform debacle just makes me want her in the "new" Legion more, because Zoe really deserves a second chance!

There's really no point in voting, since I can't save Zoe and I can't get rid of anyone whom I particularly want out, so I'll just abstain.

And so it goes... KINETIX gets the bump with 9 votes. We were so close! All we needed was one more round... Shouldv'e let immunity carry her all the way to the end, but NOOO, I had to have one final round... (mutter, grumble, mutter, grumble...) If Waid and Kitson ever bring her back and make her good you'll rue the day you vited her out! (Okay, got that out of my system )
Next up with 8 votes we have SPIDER GIRL, who also put up a good fight, all things considered.
And finally, with 5 votes, CHEMICAL KING gets bumped off with just 1 vote separating him form the next three characters, XS, White Witch and Sun Boy.

Dawnstar and White Witch because they both came dangerously close to being voted off in the last three rounds, XS because I know a lot of you hate reboot era Legionnaires very very much (at least I get to have her if I can't get Zoe or Gates), and Infectious Lass because she has never had much "screen time" at all. I'm glad she at least got a chance this time around. (and hey, she outlasted Wildfire and Timber Wolf! That's pretty amazing!)
And of course, let's not forget the 25 characters who will be enrolled in our version of the Legion Academy:

Quick aside - the Legion Academy team is a MUCH more interesting mix of characters IMO. I'd really like to read a comic about *that* team!

As usual, this was a fun game. I know I wasn't here for every round but I tried to keep track of it anyway. Thanks again, IB. You're the best!
BTW, Blacula I couldn't agree more about the Academy team. It would be a great deal of fun to read about them. Since LSH is going to be the number 1 DC book by this time next year ( ) It should definitely be considered as a spin off series from the main book.

Whoo! I'm so glad that Mysa, Drura, & XS managed to stay in the Top 25! Wow.
Of course, I bemoan the loss of Sussa too...but you can't have all the middle-tiers I suppose and still keep the big guns.
