Welcome everyone to this exciting game known as a Tournament. I want to thank everyone here for the opportunity to share this fun game with this forum. I want to thank Invisible Brainiac for his help in the set-up and running of this game. I also want to thank the staff for providing us with easily obtainable information about the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Tournaments are battles between teams of characters, and the winners are determined by player votes. I have looked through the archives and chosen 72 characters who have been in the Legion of Super-Heroes (at least a Substitute or Honorary member). You will see at least a few characters from each version of the LSH in order to have a diverse body of powers and power levels. I have decided to divide the characters into twenty-four teams of three members each, but there may be opportunities to increase the number of characters in Wild Card rounds.

I have chosen the teams by running the list through a random generator twice. We will begin combat shortly, but first we will choose leaders for each team. Please vote for which sentient should be the leader of each team. I will use a coin-toss to break any ties. Please also tell me if you have suggestions for rules, round conditions, and any concerns.

Since the voting process is going smoothly so far, I want to give the process of how combat will take place. This is by no means set in stone and I welcome suggestions by players on how to improve mechanics:

1) The decision of which teams will face eachother will be determined by a random generator for the first round.

2) The decision of the state of the field will also be determined by a random generator. It could for example take place in a laboratory or a maze.

3) The players vote on which team would win the battle. I have yet to decide how much time I should give for players to vote. Please let me know your opinions on this matter. If there are any ties I will use a coin-toss to break them and send those results to another player through private messaging, who will then post them.

4) When teams are defeated, they are eliminated from the tournament. However, there will Wild Card Rounds halfway through the Tournament. The Wild Card will allow players to bring back two defeated teams. It will also allow the players to recruit two characters per each team. There will be more details on this as we go forward.

I will keep voting for leaders open until 3:00 P.M tomorrow. Thank you for your participation.

I think 2-3 days is enough for most players to weigh in. I use 2-day rounds for my Legion Idol game, and it's worked decently so far. 3 would be safest since not everyone has consistent Net access.

I wonder, is it possible to shake teams up from round to round? It may be a lot of work for you, but I thought it'd be fun (and a bit more fair) if so. That way, Legionnaires get the opportunity to try their hand with different teammates.

Other than that, the rest sounds great [Big Grin] Can't wait for Round 1!

Thank you for voting for team leaders! I only had to use a coin-toss to break two ties: Wildfire vs. Polar Boy and Star Boy vs. Nemesis Kid. The team leaders are designated by the asterisk in front of their name. We will begin voting on the First Round of battles.

A Note on the Stages
There are seven choices for stages.
Rumble Stage: This is a normal soccer/football field. The players must defeat all their opponents.
Furnace Stage: This is a rocky field with jets of fire where normally the center line and goals would be in a ball game. The players must defeat all their opponents.
Islands Stage: This is a swimming pool with two large islands on each side and three smalls islands in the center. The players must defeat all their opponents.
Maze Stage: This is a large steel maze, in which players have to defeat all their opponents and find a way out.
Laboratory Stage: The words 'steel cage match' would best describe this stage. It is set and stocked with the normal contents of a college biology laboratory. The players must defeat all their opponents and find a way to either break or deprogram the lock to exit.
Forest Stage: A forest of evergreens with a trail horizantally through it. The players must defeat all their opponents.
Asteroid Stage: The bottom of Rumble Stage is covered with a tarp that looks like a stary sky. Four rows of three asteroids float above the stage. The players must defeat all their opponents.

1. Team One: *Neon, Shikari, and Quislet vs. Team Five: *Wildfire (Retroboot), Insect Queen (Pre-Crisis), and Polar Boy (Retroboot) on the Islands Stage
2. Team Two: Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot) vs. Team Eight: Catspaw, Chemical King (Retroboot), and *Mon- El (Retroboot) on Asteroids Stage
3. Team Three: *Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later) vs. Team Twenty-Four: *Cosmic Boy (Retroboot), Duplicate Damsel (Retroboot), and Sun Boy (Retroboot) on Forest Stage
4. Team Four: *Night Girl (Retroboot), Dawnstar (Retroboot), and Monstress vs. Team Nineteen: Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot) on Laboratory Stage
5. Team Six: Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Eighteen: *Invisible Kid II (Retroboot), Elastic Lad (Pre-Crisis), and Shadow Lass (Retroboot on Laboratory Stage
6. Team Seven: Comet Queen (Retroboot), Turtle (Threeboot), and *Kid Quantum I (Glorithverse) vs. Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot) and Gazelle on Maze Stage
7. Team Nine: XS (Retroboot), *Tyroc (Retroboot), and Stone Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage
8. Team Ten: Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twenty: Gates (Retroboot),Kon-El, and *Computo (SW6) on Islands Stage
9. Team Eleven: Sizzle (Threeboot), Dragonmage (SW6), and *Nightwind (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Twenty-One: *Dream Girl (Retroboot), Storm Boy (5 Year Gap), and Chameleon Boy (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage
10. Team Thirteen: *Ultra Boy (Retroboot), Spider-Girl (Glorithverse), Shrinking Violet (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Three: Matter-Eater Lad (Retroboot), *Bouncing Boy (Retroboot), and Infectious Lass (Retroboot) on Islands Stage
11. Team Fourteen: Chemical Kid (Retroboot), *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), and Supergirl (Retroboot) vs. Team Fifteen: Tellus (Retroboot), *Kid Quantum II, and Devlin O’Ryan on Rumble Stage
12. Team Seventeen: *Kinetix, Color Kid (Retroboot), and Ferro (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Two: Colossal Boy (Retroboot), *Saturn Girl (Retroboot), and Karate Kid (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Please submit your votes by November 22nd 4:00 P.M Central Time. Let me know your opinions about how characters and teams should be eliminated as well. Do you want teams to be switched up between rounds?

This is the first tournament game I've ever taken part in. Exciting.

Match-ups:

1. *Neon, Shikari & Quislet vs. *Wildfire, Insect Queen & Polar Boy on the Islands Stage

Shikari's abilities seem pretty useless here so it's down to Neon and Quislet versus the others. Neon's Green Lantern ring definitely makes her the most powerful of the characters in the battle but Wildfire is no slouch either and crucially - I can't help but think that all that water in this stage is going to give Polar Boy a winning edge.

*Wildfire, Polar Boy and Insect Queen for the win.

2. *Phantom Girl, Lightning Lad & Kono vs. *Mon- El, Catspaw & Chemical King on the Asteroids Stage

It's interesting that two characters with the exact same powers wound up on the same team. This is a hard fight because two characters on one team are completely untouchable (Phantom Girl and Kono) and two characters on the other team are very powerful (Mon-El and Chemical King). Lightning Lad takes Catspaw out quickly and Mon-El does the same to him leaving the other four. In order to win, Phantom Girl and Kono will have to go solid eventually and Mon-El and Chemical King will be ready for them when they do.

*Mon-El, Catspaw & Chemical King for the win.

3. *Sensor Girl, Blok & Crystal Kid vs. *Cosmic Boy, Duplicate Damsel & Sun Boy on the Forest Stage

This will be a *very* close fight. Blok will get blown off the field quickly by Cosmic Boy and Crystal Kid will negate Duplicate Damsel's power by encasing her in crystal quickly, leaving the other four. Sensor Girl will confuse the other two with one of her illusions however the forest stage gives Sun Boy an advantage since all he has to do is shoot his flames everywhere, burning the trees and smoking the other two out. However, Crystal Kid can use his crystal defensively as well as offensively, shielding him and Sensor Girl long enough for her to shut the other two down.

*Sensor Girl, Blok & Crystal Kid for the win.

4. *Night Girl, Dawnstar & Monstress vs. *Lightning Lass, Fire Lad & Element Lad on the Laboratory Stage

Any team with Element Lad on it will be hard to beat but on this stage and with Lightning Lass and Fire Lad there to help it will be almost impossible. Element Lad turns the ground underneath his team to rubber. Lightning Lass electrifies all the metal around the others. Done.

*Lightning Lass, Fire Lad and Element Lad for the win.

5. *Rond Vidar, Kid Psycho & Echo vs. *Invisible Kid II, Elastic Lad & Shadow Lass on the Laboratory Stage

Is this Rond Vidar as Green Lantern? If so, I can't see any way for the others to beat him, as much as I'd like them to.

*Rond Vidar, Kid Psycho & Echo for the win.

6. *Kid Quantum I, Comet Queen & Turtle vs. *Brainiac 5, Timber Wolf & Gazelle on the Maze Stage

I really have no idea for this one. Brainiac 5's mind will help them get out of the maze but I can't see him being much use in the fight. (If this fight were being held in the Laboratory Stage things would be different.)I can't remember what Turtle and Gazelle's powers were so it's down to Comet Queen and Kid Quantum I vs. Timber Wolf.

*Kid Quantum I, Comet Queen & Turtle for the win.

7. *Tyroc, XS & Stone Boy vs. *Andromeda, White Witch & Chlorophyll Kid on the Laboratory Stage

Two powerful teams here. The Subs won't be much use in this environment which means it's Tyroc and XS vs. Andromeda and White Witch. Wow! Tough call. XS's speed should give her the edge in any fight but Andromeda has it too. With those two battling it out I can't help but think it will come down to White Witch vs. Tyroc and, unfortunately, I think the Witch will have the edge there.

*Andromeda, White Witch & Chlorophyll Kid for the win.

8. *Star Boy, Nemesis Kid & Thunder vs. *Computo, Gates & Kon-El on the Islands Stage

Without her computers, Computo is useless meaning it's 2 vs. 3. Thunder and Kon-el will battle it out leaving Star Boy and Nemesis Kid to be ready for wherever Gates will pop up. And Gates can't do much teleporting while he's as heavy as a mountain.

*Star Boy, Nemesis Kid & Thunder for the win.

9. *Nightwind, Sizzle & Dragonmage vs. *Dream Girl, Storm Boy & Chameleon Boy on the Laboratory Stage

A shame that this fight isn't on one of the other stages to let Nightwind and Storm Boy shine. Since it's inside both are pretty much useless so it's up to their teammates to win the day. Dragonmage's illusions will help but Dream Girl will always know what he and Sizzle are going to do before they do it. Plus, she's handy in a laboratory so who knows what she might quickly cook up in there to give them the edge.

*Dream Girl, Storm Boy & Chameleon Boy for the win.

10. *Ultra Boy, Spider-Girl & Shrinking Violet vs. *Bouncing Boy, Matter-Eater Lad & Infectious Lass on the Islands Stage

This one could go either way. I see tactical ways for both teams to win. Infectious Lass' power would normally be enough to take down most opponents but if Shrinking Violet can shrink down smaller than the microbe particles she can bypass them and then sneak into Infectious Lass to shut her down. Spider Girl's hair could ensnare Bouncing Boy but Matter-Eater Lad could eat through it. I think he'd have a tough time against Ultra Boy though. So...

*Ultra Boy, Spider-Girl & Shrinking Violet for the win.

11. *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), Chemical Kid & Supergirl vs. *Kid Quantum II, Tellus & Devlin O’Ryan on the Rumble Stage

Two very powerful teams here. Kid Quantum II's time-powers will negate Impulse completely and leave Supergirl unable to use her speed. Chemical Kid will in turn shut down Tellus by disrupting the methane in his helmet leaving it at 2 on 2. Chemical Kid and Kid Quantum II will ill-defined powers themselves out of the fight while Supergirl uses her super-brain, super-breath, super-strength, heat vision or one of her other powers to overcome Devlin O'Ryan.

*Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), Chemical Kid & Supergirl for the win.

12. *Kinetix, Color Kid & Ferro vs. *Saturn Girl, Colossal Boy & Karate Kid on the Forest Stage

This is probably the most one-sided fight in the whole match. Kinetix is obviously the most powerful member of her team and if this fight were held in the Laboratory, say, she'd be a real threat. But since her powers only work on inanimate objects and she's surrounded by living trees here, she's out of luck. Having the greatest telepath in the galaxy and the greatest fighter in the galaxy (along with someone who can become a big, strong giant) as opponents only worsens things for her team. Ferro turns to iron, Colossal Boy steps on him and pins him down. Saturn Girl shuts down Kinetix and Karate Kid zens out and easily bypasses Color Kid's illusions to knock him out. The fight probably lasted 10 seconds.

*Saturn Girl, Colossal Boy & Karate Kid for the win.

---

That was fun. Looking forward to reading other people's results.

Re: rules -

* I'd like the losing team kicked out after every round. Isn't that the only way to eliminate teams anyway?
* Or maybe have three match-ups and then kick off whichever teams lost 2 out of the 3. Or will that make the game go on too long and be too much work for you Emily?
* Maybe reshuffle the remaining members after every round (or third round if you go with my previous suggestion) but I'm OK with leaving them as they are too.
* Can we drop the (Retroboot), (Postboot), etc. identifiers too? There's very little difference between the characters anyway and it's a chore to type/read.
* I don't really see the point of team leaders. I see most Legionnaires as more than capable of handling themselves in a fight and the Legion leader only there for operational duties anyway so I don't see what difference they'd make to a fight. I'm happy to keep voting for them if people want to do so though.

I'd love for teams to be switched up between rounds, but only if it's not too much trouble for you. Also, how do we decide who the team leader is for each round?

For that matter does the team leader have any effect on the points? Or is it more of, we voters decide ourselves if the team leader will give our chosen team an advantage?

Blacula, that's Postboot Brainiac 5, meaning he has forcefield powers. He can reshape his forcefields at will - this incarnation of Brainy was one of the most powerful on the Postboot team.

I agree that most can be dropped, but not all. Postboot Violet and Brainiac 5, for example, had very different powersets. Violet could grow, and Brainy had forcefield powers.

1. Team One: *Neon, Shikari, and Quislet vs. Team Five: *Wildfire (Retroboot), Insect Queen (Pre-Crisis), and Polar Boy (Retroboot) on the Islands Stage

Shikari and Insect Queen will be of limited use here, so it's down to the other four.

Quislet can't affect much... besides Wildfire's suit. So it really comes down to speed.

All that water gives Polar Boy an advantage, but will he even be able to freeze Neon? Also, Neon and Wildfire should be evenly matched.

I think I'll give this one to Neon's team.

Team One: *Neon, Shikari, and Quislet

2. Team Two: Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot) vs. Team Eight: Catspaw, Chemical King (Retroboot), and *Mon- El (Retroboot) on Asteroids Stage

Tough one. Kono and Tinya are impervious, but they can't really do anything back to their opponents. Poor Garth doesn't stand a chance alone.

The only way I see this happening is if Kono and Tinya manage to phase into Mon and Condo and, I dunno, stop their hearts from beating or something. Actually, I can see it happening... Kono can phase Condo while Tinya takes out Mon, and then they both gang up on Condo.

Team Two: Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot)

3. Team Three: *Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later) vs. Team Twenty-Four: *Cosmic Boy (Retroboot), Duplicate Damsel (Retroboot), and Sun Boy (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Oh, a forest. Sun Boy could burn the whole thing down, but the heat (and lack of ferrous material) makes Cosmic Boy useless.

Sensor Girl can use her illusions to confound the opposing team while Crystal Kid and Blok take them out.

Team Three: *Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later)

4. Team Four: *Night Girl (Retroboot), Dawnstar (Retroboot), and Monstress vs. Team Nineteen: Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot) on Laboratory Stage

If facing Element Lad weren't bad enough, Dawnstar has no space to maneuver; Lightning Lass and Fire Lad and Element Lad all three can project light to depower Night Girl. Poor Monstress doesn't stand a chance alone.

Team Nineteen: Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot)

5. Team Six: Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Eighteen: *Invisible Kid II (Retroboot), Elastic Lad (Pre-Crisis), and Shadow Lass (Retroboot on Laboratory Stage

If Rond Vidar is a Green Lantern, his team will definitely win.

Team Six: Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap)

6. Team Seven: Comet Queen (Retroboot), Turtle (Threeboot), and *Kid Quantum I (Glorithverse) vs. Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot) and Gazelle on Maze Stage

They're in a maze. They have Brainiac 5. He also has forcefield powers. Game, set, match.

Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot)

7. Team Nine: XS (Retroboot), *Tyroc (Retroboot), and Stone Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Well, Laurel and XS make a speed tie. XS could take out the White Witch, but she can't take out Andromeda, either. And I think Andromeda will move fast enough that Tyroc has only a slim chance of taking her out with his sonic powers. so...

Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

8. Team Ten: Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twenty: Gates (Retroboot),Kon-El, and *Computo (SW6) on Islands Stage

Thunder and Kon-el cancel each other out, though Thunder might get the upper hand since her powers are magic-based. Computo will be useless, though, so that tips the scales in favor of the other team.

Team Ten: Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot)

9. Team Eleven: Sizzle (Threeboot), Dragonmage (SW6), and *Nightwind (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Twenty-One: *Dream Girl (Retroboot), Storm Boy (5 Year Gap), and Chameleon Boy (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Hmm, tough call. Cham is awful crafty, but Sizzle will be useless unless she finds an energy source.

Storm Boy vs. Nightwind. I think Nightwind has more precise weather control, so I'll give it to her. Dragonmage's magic is potent, and no matter how smart Dream Girl is, she simply won't have time.

eam Eleven: Sizzle (Threeboot), Dragonmage (SW6), and *Nightwind (5 Year Gap)

10. Team Thirteen: *Ultra Boy (Retroboot), Spider-Girl (Glorithverse), Shrinking Violet (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Three: Matter-Eater Lad (Retroboot), *Bouncing Boy (Retroboot), and Infectious Lass (Retroboot) on Islands Stage

If Chuck and Tenzil manage to stall Ultra Boy long enough, Infectious Lass COULD win. A lot depends on what Jo's opening move is. If he uses anything other than speed or perhaps invulnerability, he goes down.

But then, there's Violet to contend with.

Much as I'd like to give this to Chuck's team...
Team Thirteen: *Ultra Boy (Retroboot), Spider-Girl (Glorithverse), Shrinking Violet (Postboot)

11. Team Fourteen: Chemical Kid (Retroboot), *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), and Supergirl (Retroboot) vs. Team Fifteen: Tellus (Retroboot), *Kid Quantum II, and Devlin O’Ryan on Rumble Stage

Tough one. Hmm... Anyone attacks Devlin, and they'll get their powers bounced back. If Jazmin's team uses teamwork, they can win. Jazmin slows everyone down, Tellus shuts their minds down, and Devlin acts as a shield.

Team Fifteen: Tellus (Retroboot), *Kid Quantum II, and Devlin O’Ryan

12. Team Seventeen: *Kinetix, Color Kid (Retroboot), and Ferro (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Two: Colossal Boy (Retroboot), *Saturn Girl (Retroboot), and Karate Kid (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Dah, why did poor Zoe get such a poor team? They have nobody who can take on Saturn Girl, since she can move at the speed of thought.

Well, maybe I'm biased, but... if this is Terrorform Zoe, their team can pull out a win.

Team Seventeen: *Kinetix, Color Kid (Retroboot), and Ferro (Postboot)

I have decided to eliminate teams traditionally, which is battle loss equals tournament loss. However, there will be Wild Card Rounds half-way through the Tournament. One of the Wild Card rounds will be to determine which two previously defeated teams should be brought back. The second Wild Card round will allow two characters who have not participated in the Tournament to be drafted to each team.

I will reshuffle the remaining characters after each round. I will also drop the version indicators after character names, and will instead refer new players to the first page of the thread.

I did not plan for us to vote for new team leaders each round, and since each current team has a leader that means there is an even distribution of leaders per teams. Leaders make more of a difference on larger teams where coordinance and logistics need to be delegated, but even small teams like the Fantastic Four have a person who is ultimately in charge. Leaders have different styles and attitudes which effect the outcome of battles.

1. Team One: *Neon, Shikari, and Quislet vs. Team Five: *Wildfire (Retroboot), Insect Queen (Pre-Crisis), and Polar Boy (Retroboot) on the Islands Stage

Quislet can pretty easily take Wildfire out, as well as Insect Queen assuming he knows to go for her ring. The water definitely works to Polar Boy's advantage, but Neon's pretty darn powerful and Shikari's definitely a tough warrior... so I'm calling it Team One.

2. Team Two: Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot) vs. Team Eight: Catspaw, Chemical King (Retroboot), and *Mon- El (Retroboot) on Asteroids Stage

This is a tough call, because you have two powerhouses on Team Eight, but you've got two people who basically impossible to take out on Team Two. I'm thinking that if Phantom Girl can do some phantom zone related tricks against Mon-El*, and Kono can sneak up on Chemical King by hiding in an asteroid, that leaves Lightning Lad to fry Catspaw (who is pretty much useless in this environment), and it goes to Team Two

*Alternatively, Tinya and Kono can simply become intangible, and wait until Mon-El's lead serum runs out, and hello lead asteroids!

3. Team Three: *Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later) vs. Team Twenty-Four: *Cosmic Boy (Retroboot), Duplicate Damsel (Retroboot), and Sun Boy (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Sensor Girl's definitely tough to beat, but I'm going to put my money on Duplicate Girl's being able to overwhelm her by generating duplicates faster than she can affect their senses. Crystal Kid's pretty much the weak link in this game, so I'd declare him pretty much a non-factor. That leaves the question of whether Cosmic Boy and/or Sun Boy can take down Blok, who may be able to use the forest to his advantage, but I'm going to go with the two more experienced Legionnaires onTeam Twenty-Four.

4. Team Four: *Night Girl (Retroboot), Dawnstar (Retroboot), and Monstress vs. Team Nineteen: Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot) on Laboratory Stage

It strikes me that Fire Lad, Lightning Lass, and Element Lad all benefit from the environment, while the other three don't. Not a whole lot of room for Dawnstar to maneuver in this, either. I'll take Team Nineteen.

5. Team Six: Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Eighteen: *Invisible Kid II (Retroboot), Elastic Lad (Pre-Crisis), and Shadow Lass (Retroboot on Laboratory Stage

Hmm... on the one hand Team Six has Rond Vidar, which would seem to give them an advantage in the lab environment. On the other hand, Team Eighteen has Jimmy Olsen. Stick that dude in a laboratory and within five minutes he'll be turning into some weird octopus man or something. So, while Kid Psycho and Echo pretty much negate the advantages of stealth from Invisible Kid and Shadow Lass, I'm still inclined to give it to Team Eighteen.

6. Team Seven: Comet Queen (Retroboot), Turtle (Threeboot), and *Kid Quantum I (Glorithverse) vs. Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot) and Gazelle on Maze Stage

Team sixteen is pretty much made to find their way through a maze, while team seven looks likely to get lost in comet gasses. I'll give it to Team Sixteen.

7. Team Nine: XS (Retroboot), *Tyroc (Retroboot), and Stone Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Hmm... neither team seems really suited to the environment, but Team Twelve looks a lot more powerful overall.

8. Team Ten: Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twenty: Gates (Retroboot),Kon-El, and *Computo (SW6) on Islands Stage

Not a good environment for Danielle, and Thunder pretty much overwhelms Kon-El. And the versatility of Nemesis Kid is a huge advantage for the other side. Team Ten.

9. Team Eleven: Sizzle (Threeboot), Dragonmage (SW6), and *Nightwind (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Twenty-One: *Dream Girl (Retroboot), Storm Boy (5 Year Gap), and Chameleon Boy (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

This is definitely a tough one. Dream Girl and Chameleon Boy are a pretty dangerous combination tactically, though Storm Boy is pretty useless. Not a great environment for Dragonmage or Nightwind, though arguably a pretty nice one for Sizzle. Still, I'm going with Team Eleven.

10. Team Thirteen: *Ultra Boy (Retroboot), Spider-Girl (Glorithverse), Shrinking Violet (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Three: Matter-Eater Lad (Retroboot), *Bouncing Boy (Retroboot), and Infectious Lass (Retroboot) on Islands Stage

Tenzil eats his way out of Sussa's hair web, and Drura can take down Jo. Violet's the one I'd actually worry about on Team Thirteen, but I'm going to just assume that Chuck bounces one her. Team Twenty-Three ftw.

11. Team Fourteen: Chemical Kid (Retroboot), *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), and Supergirl (Retroboot) vs. Team Fifteen: Tellus (Retroboot), *Kid Quantum II, and Devlin O’Ryan on Rumble Stage

Let's see, Devlin O'Ryan is immune to physical/energy attacks, but Chemical Kid can take him out. Kid Quantum II can pretty much deal with Supergirl and/or Kent Shakespeare, and Tellus is no slouch either, though CK could probably pretty easily mess with his respiration system. It really seems to me to come down to whether Kara can take Jazmin out before she sends her back through time or something. Team Fifteen is a more interesting team overall, though, so I'll go with them.

12. Team Seventeen: *Kinetix, Color Kid (Retroboot), and Ferro (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Two: Colossal Boy (Retroboot), *Saturn Girl (Retroboot), and Karate Kid (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Hmm... Saturn Girl is a *huge* advantage to Twenty-Two, while Color Kid doesn't seem that useful. I'd go with Kinetix over Colossal Boy and Karate Kid over Ferro. Hmm... really Kinetix is pretty much the only thing Team Seventeen has going for them, and I'm really not seeing how she pulls this off. Twenty-Two.

1. Team One: *Neon, Shikari, and Quislet vs. Team Five: *Wildfire (Retroboot), Insect Queen (Pre-Crisis), and Polar Boy (Retroboot) on the Islands Stage

Normally, I would give the edge to Team One, but the Island Stage is an advantage to Polar Boy and Team Five. Winner = Team 5

2. Team Two: Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot) vs. Team Eight: Catspaw, Chemical King (Retroboot), and *Mon- El (Retroboot) on Asteroids Stage

Asteroid Stage give Mon-El a clear advantage, and the Phantoms can't overcome a well balanced Team Eight. Winner = Team 8

3. Team Three: *Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later) vs. Team Twenty-Four: *Cosmic Boy (Retroboot), Duplicate Damsel (Retroboot), and Sun Boy (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Very even match-up, but Duplicate Damsel in the camouflage of forest is the difference. Winner = Team 24

4. Team Four: *Night Girl (Retroboot), Dawnstar (Retroboot), and Monstress vs. Team Nineteen: Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot) on Laboratory Stage

Fire Lad, Lightning Lass and Element Lad fighting in a Laboratory? 'Nuff said. Winner = Team 19

5. Team Six: Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Eighteen: *Invisible Kid II (Retroboot), Elastic Lad (Pre-Crisis), and Shadow Lass (Retroboot on Laboratory Stage

Probably the weakest match-up of the first round, I give it to the brainy guys in the Laboratory. Winner = Team 6

6. Team Seven: Comet Queen (Retroboot), Turtle (Threeboot), and *Kid Quantum I (Glorithverse) vs. Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot) and Gazelle on Maze Stage

The acrobats win the fights and Brainy gets them out of the maze. Winner = Team 16

7. Team Nine: XS (Retroboot), *Tyroc (Retroboot), and Stone Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Might & magic wins the day. Winner = Team 12

8. Team Ten: Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twenty: Gates (Retroboot),Kon-El, and *Computo (SW6) on Islands Stage

Team Ten is too strong, even for Kon-El. Winner = Team 10

9. Team Eleven: Sizzle (Threeboot), Dragonmage (SW6), and *Nightwind (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Twenty-One: *Dream Girl (Retroboot), Storm Boy (5 Year Gap), and Chameleon Boy (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Love to see Team Eleven in a Birds of Prey series, but the veterans in Team 21 have the edge. Winner = Team 21

10. Team Thirteen: *Ultra Boy (Retroboot), Spider-Girl (Glorithverse), Shrinking Violet (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Three: Matter-Eater Lad (Retroboot), *Bouncing Boy (Retroboot), and Infectious Lass (Retroboot) on Islands Stage

Close call, but if Team 13 doesn't end up fighting themselves, they are stronger. Winner = Team 13

11. Team Fourteen: Chemical Kid (Retroboot), *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), and Supergirl (Retroboot) vs. Team Fifteen: Tellus (Retroboot), *Kid Quantum II, and Devlin O’Ryan on Rumble Stage

Tough first draw for Team 15. Take the home team over all the points. Winner = Team 14

12. Team Seventeen: *Kinetix, Color Kid (Retroboot), and Ferro (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Two: Colossal Boy (Retroboot), *Saturn Girl (Retroboot), and Karate Kid (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

On any stage, Team 22 has the clear edge here. Winner = Team 22

This is my first tournament as well !

1. Team One: *Neon, Shikari, and Quislet vs. Team Five: *Wildfire (Retroboot), Insect Queen (Pre-Crisis), and Polar Boy (Retroboot) on the Islands Stage

Quislet takes over Wildfire's suit and blasts at Polar Boy while Neon and Shikari easily dispatch Insect Queen. Then they all three team up on Polar Boy, Quislet leaves Wildfire's suit which collapses.

*Neon, Shikari, and Quislet

2. Team Two: Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot) vs. Team Eight: Catspaw, Chemical King (Retroboot), and *Mon- El (Retroboot) on Asteroids Stage

I had to think about this one, (which is why I asked if draws were possible ... I assumed Kono and Phantom Girl woudl just turn immaterial and they could never defeat Mon-El solid and he could never get to them either! ) What I came up with was ... Kono turns Mon-El immaterial taking him out of the fight, he might even freak out as if he was in the Phantom Zone ... Lightning lad and Apparition have a tough fight with Catspaw and Chemical King but ... Kono is still around. Chemical King may get the better of Lightning Lad by exploding asteroids but ... Phantom Girl just pops in with a karate chop or two for him and Catspaw. Lightning Lad and Phantom Girl are some of the first legionnaires, they know a thing or two about a thing or two. And Kono is crazy devious and ruthless. She took Bion down!

Lightning Lad (Retroboot), Kono (Glorithverse), and *Phantom Girl (Retroboot)

3. Team Three: *Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later) vs. Team Twenty-Four: *Cosmic Boy (Retroboot), Duplicate Damsel (Retroboot), and Sun Boy (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

this one is tough, Cosmic boy and Sun Boy are a lot more powerful than Crystal Kid but they can't get to or hurt Sensor Girl or Block. I think I'll give this one to Sensor Girl's leadership ... seeing as she defeated the Fatal Five that oen time in the baxter series.

*Sensor Girl (Retroboot), Blok (Retroboot), and Crystal Kid (5 Year Later)

4. Team Four: *Night Girl (Retroboot), Dawnstar (Retroboot), and Monstress vs. Team Nineteen: Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot) on Laboratory Stage

Element Lad. and Lightning Lass. He imprisons or defeats one or two, Dawny may be fast enough to take him out but Lightning is pretty fast too. Besides Lightning Lass has some pretty heroic moments facing tons of villains by herself.

Fire Lad (Retroboot), *Lightning Lass (Retroboot) and Element Lad (Postboot) on Laboratory Stage

5. Team Six: Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Eighteen: *Invisible Kid II (Retroboot), Elastic Lad (Pre-Crisis), and Shadow Lass (Retroboot on Laboratory Stage

I'll give this to the Green Lantern's team, Shadow Lass may be able to hold off Rond but, IKid 2 and Elastic Lad can't take down Echo or get to Kid Psycho. [Frown]

Kid Psycho (Pre-Crisis), *Rond Vidar (Retroboot), and Echo (5 Year Gap) v

6. Team Seven: Comet Queen (Retroboot), Turtle (Threeboot), and *Kid Quantum I (Glorithverse) vs. Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot) and Gazelle on Maze Stage

Timber Wolf owns the maze stage.
Team Sixteen: Timber Wolf (Retroboot), *Brainiac 5 (Postboot) and Gazelle on Maze Stage

7. Team Nine: XS (Retroboot), *Tyroc (Retroboot), and Stone Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Whoah tough! I'll give XS the win against the White Witch, Andromeda the win against Tyroc, Chlorophyll Kid the win against Stoen Boy and maybe tripping up XS. Andromeda eventually takes out XS.

Team Twelve: White Witch (Pre-Crisis), *Andromeda, and Chlorophyll Kid (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

8. Team Ten: Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot) vs. Team Twenty: Gates (Retroboot),Kon-El, and *Computo (SW6) on Islands Stage

Another tough one!! There's nothing for Computo on the Islands Stage. Nemesis easily takes her out. Poor Computo I love her ... I always thought they should give her electrical or energy blasts like that oen time she blew up Brainy's lab as a kid. Gates might be able to knock out Star Boy. Kon-El will take out Thunder, he's got more powers than her. and Nemesis will take out Gates during that battle, and Kon El after Kon's tired from Thunder.

Nemesis Kid (Pre-Crisis), Thunder, and *Star Boy (Retroboot)

9. Team Eleven: Sizzle (Threeboot), Dragonmage (SW6), and *Nightwind (5 Year Gap) vs. Team Twenty-One: *Dream Girl (Retroboot), Storm Boy (5 Year Gap), and Chameleon Boy (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

Dragonmage vs. Chameleon Boy, Storm Boy vs. Nightwind, Dream Girl taes out Sizzle. Chameleon Boy eventually gets the better of Dragonmage (Chameleon Boy has been shown to be mad good at using his powers) They all jump Nightwind. A labs not the greatest for her skills either.

Team Twenty-One: *Dream Girl (Retroboot), Storm Boy (5 Year Gap), and Chameleon Boy (Retroboot) on Laboratory Stage

10. Team Thirteen: *Ultra Boy (Retroboot), Spider-Girl (Glorithverse), Shrinking Violet (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Three: Matter-Eater Lad (Retroboot), *Bouncing Boy (Retroboot), and Infectious Lass (Retroboot) on Islands Stage

Infectious Lass makes them ALL sick. It's hard to fight when you're doubled over shating yourself. This ends the battle.

It is possible that Ultra Boy could shatter the Island or something from a distance before he was in rage of her powers but I'm not sure he'd think of it

Team Twenty-Three: Matter-Eater Lad (Retroboot), *Bouncing Boy (Retroboot), and Infectious Lass (Retroboot) on Islands Stage

11. Team Fourteen: Chemical Kid (Retroboot), *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), and Supergirl (Retroboot) vs. Team Fifteen: Tellus (Retroboot), *Kid Quantum II, and Devlin O’Ryan on Rumble Stage

hmmm, It appeared easy at first but I suppose Tellus' telepathy will come in handy stalling Impulse and/or Supergirl. Kid Quantum will have a tough time with Chemical Kid but i think shortly gain the upper hand. This Chemical Kid was never written well int he use of his powers. Devlin O'Ryans not the greatest use against physical opponents. So, I'll say Tellus takes out Impulse, Supergirl takes out Tellus, Kid Quantum takes out Chemical Kid, That leaves Kid Quantum 2 vs. Supergirl ..... I suppose Kid Quantum 2 can suspend Supergirl for the life of the fight but .... I think Supergirl knocks her out with super speed before she can do that.

Team Fourteen: Chemical Kid (Retroboot), *Impulse (Kent Shakespeare), and Supergirl (Retroboot)

12. Team Seventeen: *Kinetix, Color Kid (Retroboot), and Ferro (Postboot) vs. Team Twenty-Two: Colossal Boy (Retroboot), *Saturn Girl (Retroboot), and Karate Kid (Retroboot) on Forest Stage

Saturn Girl + Karate Kid can beat a lot of folks down. And the forest suits a them with a hunt and hide style of fighting.

Team Twenty-Two: Colossal Boy (Retroboot), *Saturn Girl (Retroboot), and Karate Kid (Retroboot)

1. Team Two is definitely looking a lot more impressive overall. I'm going assume that the White Witch has something prepped that allows her to dispel Sensor Girl's illusions (they are, after all, magic-based). With Colossal Boy and Neon easily dominating Storm Boy (who is once again hampered by environment) and Crystal Kid, the victory goes to Team Two.

2. Wow! This is a tough one. Team Four is ridiculously strong on defense, while Team Three is pretty impressive as well. I'm pretty sure Kid Psycho could pin Thunder down, and a little extra mass will send Ayla searching for a cellular trim ray! While Cham and Tinya could go either way, I'm going to give it to Team Four.

3. The Kryptonian and the Daxamite trump the Kryptonian-lite and the Dryad. Fire Lad can't really do a whole lot. Pathfinder plus two members with x-ray vision = maze easily solved. Team Five.

4. This one is interesting as well. Gazelle and Sussa both seem naturally suited to the environment, but... hello one environment which really plays to Ral's strengths! I really think it could go either way, but I guess I'll give it to Team Eight.

5. Well, you've got a fantastic rumble fighter in the form of Brin, but, Kent, Jan, and Hart are looking like a pretty killer combination. And really all you need to let the other two run distraction while NK takes them out individually. So Team Nine.

6. This one is kind of interesting. Team Twelve has one huge advantage going for them, however: namely Nura. I'm going to suggest that the tactical advantage of having her as leader, plus the possibility that she could conceivable use her own willpower to take over Rond's ring will put Team Twelve over the top.

Round Two Battles
1. Team One: Storm Boy, Crystal Kid, and *Sensor Girl vs. Team Two: White Witch, Colossal Boy, and *Neon in the Laboratory Stage

I've been imaging this Lab is like a huge warehouse, otherwise, characters would just rip the roof off and fight outside. (sorry [shrug] ) Well, even if they need to pick the lock to get out I think Gim and Neon have the advantage, or Mysa can do a spell to figure out the combo, maybe Sensor can sense it ? ... who knows how good Storm Boy is at technology ... maybe great maybe not.

WELL, I will say that Neon and Colossal Boy are much more formidable than Storm Boy and Crystal Kid so .... by the end of the battle it'll be 2 to 3 members of Neon's team against Sensor Girl. Maybe Sensor Girl can take out most groups of 2 to 3 but I think Neon and the White Witch are particularly tough for her even if she confuses Gim or Neon to take out one of their own team mates. Besides GIM, Neon, and Mysa all seem beyond average in smarts to know what Sensor Girl's tricks are. It would be close but .... my gut says ....

Team Two: White Witch, Colossal Boy, and *Neon in the Laboratory Stage

2. Team Three: Chameleon Boy, *Lightning Lass, and Thunder vs. Team Four: *Phantom Girl, Kono and Kid Psycho on the Volcano Stage

Volcano fire hurta. Unless you're intangible or Thunder. or have a force field like Kid Psycho.

hmmm, this is harder than the last match with Kono and Phantom Girl. Kono takes out Thunder one way or the other, Cham eventually sneaks up on Kono and takes her out. Phantom Girl just can not beat any of the opposing team unless she becomes tangible so ... they'd either wear her down when she turns tangible to karate chop them ... or she'd have to surrender and admit defeat.

3. Team Five: Supergirl, *Andromeda, and Shikari vs. Team Six: *Ultra Boy, Fire Lad, and Blok in the Maze Stage

Shikari Andromeda and Supergirl can beat anybody, especially when Shikari owns the maze stage better than Timber Wolf. Even Saturn Girl would have a tough time with the strong wills of Laurel and Supes. Andromeda would beat Blok down after a time, and Supergirl is really clever in the use of her powers, which she can use all at ones, and has more of than Ultra Boy. Shikari can probably even beat Fire Lad alone.

4. Team Seven: Gazelle, Spider-Girl, and *Brainiac 5 vs. Team Eight: Echo, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl in the Forest Stage

hmm. A very even match. Echo beats Gazelle with a sound blast. Then he breaks the stale mate between chlorophyll Kid and Sussa, even though Chlorophyll kid would win, normally Sussa would use that forest for hide and seek to her cunning advantage but ... dude ... IT'S CHLOROPHYLL KID ... IN A FOREST STAGE. [Big Grin]

Saturn Girl may have a tough time breaking down Brainy because Brainy has been shown to be resistant to telepathy but his force field can only keep out Echo's blasts, and Chlorophyll's choke vies, for so long ... Post Boot Brainy may even be able to beat the two of them but not hile he's locked in a battle of wills with the premier telepath. they'd wear him down, and in this stage he dosn't have any scientific fail safe to run to or to rescue him.

Team Eight: Echo, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl in the Forest Stage

5. Team Nine: Timber Wolf, Quislet, and *Star Boy vs. Team Ten: *Impulse, Nemesis Kid, and Element Lad on the Rumble Stag

Pretty even match up.

hmmm, There's nothing for Quislet to possess I assume, unless he possesses the floor, I think he can possess some rocks/ores.

BUUUTTTT .... Star Boy getting the advantage might make the other team super heavy but there's nothing that says Element Lad can't move just as quick to use his powers. Plus Nemesis Kid can always use his power to escape the super gravity.

Anyway you put it if you match these three up against these three it's either a draw OR

Element Lad's team comes out ahead.

Team Ten: *Impulse, Nemesis Kid, and Element Lad on the Rumble Stag

6. Team Eleven: *Rond Vidar, Shrinking Violet, and Lightning Lad vs. Team Twelve: *Dream Girl, Chemical Kid and Karate Kid on the Volcano Stage

This ones tough. For Dream Girl's team.

The thing is Rond and Lightning Lad can take them out from a distance, and Chemical Kid can't compete with them in ranged attacks. They could even throw Shrinking Violet to the dogs and let her giant size butt take a butt kicking while Rond and Lightning Lad pick them off. Rond could jut make a big giant sized skyscraper to crash down on Dreamy and Karate Kid, they might see it coming but ....

Team Eleven: *Rond Vidar, Shrinking Violet, and Lightning Lad

I'm going to make my choices before I read anyone else's fights so as not to be influenced.

---

1. Storm Boy, Crystal Kid & *Sensor Girl vs. White Witch, Colossal Boy & *Neon in the Laboratory Stage

Well, the closed environment of the Laboratory stage effectively neutralises two of the players - Storm Boy because he can't access the weather and Colossal Boy because he doesn't have room to grow. So it's down to their teammates to save the day. I give Crystal Kid a lot more credit than some but even despite his and Sensor Girl's formidable skills, I can't see a way for them to defeat the pinnacles of science AND magic.

White Witch, Colossal Boy & *Neon for the win.

2. Chameleon Boy, *Lightning Lass & Thunder vs. *Phantom Girl, Kono & Kid Psycho on the Volcano Stage

(Phantom Girl and Kono wound up on the same team again?!) This is a tough one. I was at first going to immediately give the win to Kid Psycho (and his team) since I thought being able to control all that lava psycho-kinetically would be a huge advantage - but then I realised there is no actual lava on this stage. So he'll be taken out quickly by Thunder. Kono will then turn her intangible, taking her out of the fight. Lightning Lass and Chameleon Boy will try their hardest but I just can't see any way for them to overcome the phantoms.

*Phantom Girl, Kono & Kid Psycho for the win.

3. Supergirl, *Andromeda & Shikari vs. *Ultra Boy, Fire Lad & Blok in the Maze Stage

haha. Wow! Now that is a team well suited to its stage and its opponents. Shikari immediately starts searching for the way out of the maze while a quick super-breath from Supergirl extinguishes Fire Lad. Ultra Boy's one power limitation will make him vulnerable when being double-teamed at super-speed by the power-houses and while Blok is tough, the other two are tougher.

Supergirl, *Andromeda & Shikari for the win.

4. Gazelle, Spider-Girl & *Brainiac 5 vs. Echo, Chlorophyll Kid & *Saturn Girl in the Forest Stage

YES! I was hoping Chlorophyll Kid would get the Forest Stage and here it is. He controls the whole battle-field - every tree, every blade of grass, every patch of dirt. Every way the others turn he can grow things up in their path and obstruct them. And then Echo can blast it all into destruction, constantly pummeling the others with showers of wood. Brainiac 5's force-field may protect him a little longer but he'll still be bruised from being pushed around so much and Saturn Girl will be ready for him when he drops his concentration.

Echo, Chlorophyll Kid & *Saturn Girl for the win.

5. Timber Wolf, Quislet & *Star Boy vs. *Impulse, Nemesis Kid & Element Lad on the Rumble Stage

Star Boy is the biggest threat on his team this round but Impulse will probably be able to take him out before he can slow him down in time. Element Lad will then transmute Quislet's ship leaving it at three on one, and I do not see Timber Wolf being able to defeat that power combination on his own.

*Impulse, Nemesis Kid & Element Lad for the win.

6. *Rond Vidar, Shrinking Violet & Lightning Lad vs. *Dream Girl, Chemical Kid & Karate Kid on the Volcano Stage

I'd like Dream Girl's team to win this - but I just can't see any way for them to do it. I think even Dream Girl knows that this fight is lost.

*Rond Vidar, Shrinking Violet & Lightning Lad for the win.

---

FUN! Now to read everyone else's decisions.

I'll also hold off on reading the others' posts first.

1. Team One: Storm Boy, Crystal Kid, and *Sensor Girl vs. Team Two: White Witch, Colossal Boy, and *Neon in the Laboratory Stage

Tough one. Sensor Girl is a major asset, but against Neon AND White Witch?

Storm Boy and Colossal Boy are of limited use in the close confines of a lab, so meh.

Neon probably isn't that adept with the emerald energy, so she'll be unable to filter out the illusions, but if Mysa can do that - and I'm assuming she has - she can take Jeckie out.

Team Two: White Witch, Colossal Boy, and *Neon

2. Team Three: Chameleon Boy, *Lightning Lass, and Thunder vs. Team Four: *Phantom Girl, Kono and Kid Psycho on the Volcano Stage

Ah, another tough one...

Same thing as before. Kono can phase Thunder out. Tinya and Kid Psycho can distract Ayla while avoiding Cham; if Kono stays phased long enough she can then pick the others off. Plus, Tinya, Kono and Kid Psycho have less to worry about from the lava, unlike Cham and Ayla.

Team Four: *Phantom Girl, Kono and Kid Psycho

3. Team Five: Supergirl, *Andromeda, and Shikari vs. Team Six: *Ultra Boy, Fire Lad, and Blok in the Maze Stage

What is one-sided? Team Five: Supergirl, *Andromeda, and Shikari

4. Team Seven: Gazelle, Spider-Girl, and *Brainiac 5 vs. Team Eight: Echo, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl in the Forest Stage

Ooh. Brainy vs. Imra should be interesting, but even Brainy is vulnerable to telepathy. And a forest was just MADE for Chlorophyll Kid to excel.

Team Eight: Echo, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl

5. Team Nine: Timber Wolf, Quislet, and *Star Boy vs. Team Ten: *Impulse, Nemesis Kid, and Element Lad on the Rumble Stag

Tough one, but Nemesis Kid and Element Lad together are a tough combo.

I suppose Star Boy could turn the gravity on hard, but Nemesis Kid can be immune to that. If Jan can give him some support by taking Brin out, Hart can take out Thom.

As for Quislet, he can transmute the ground, I suppose. It really depends on Jan and Kent being able to keep Hart in the game.

Team Ten: *Impulse, Nemesis Kid, and Element Lad

6. Team Eleven: *Rond Vidar, Shrinking Violet, and Lightning Lad vs. Team Twelve: *Dream Girl, Chemi al Kid and Karate Kid on the Volcano Stage

Violet can shrink between lava. Rond's power ring also gives him an edge.

I suppose Chemical Kid can... slow down lava flow? With Dream Girl guiding him, he MAY be effective, but... Rond is more efficient. He protects Garth, who takes out Dreamy and Chemical Kid. While Val is dodging, Violet finishes him off.

Team Eleven: *Rond Vidar, Shrinking Violet, and Lightning Lad

Thank your for your participation. Now, we enter the Wild Cards. These picks can be crucial in terms of team-building, as an energy-absorber, mimic or telepath could prove a huge advance. You may also want to consider intelligence and skill when making your Wild Card choices; because scientists and street-levelers can be extremely useful in battles involving preperation.

You may vote for a maximum of twelve eliminated characters to bring back into the Tournament. These characters will listed in alphabetical order, so please look through the list carefully before making your selections.

Er, is it just me or has no character besides Duplicate Damsel gotten 2 votes yet for the wild card?

Pretty much voting for my favorites who would likely do well in this tournament. Also not voting for any "Kryptonian" types, since we still have a lot of THOSE in play!

1. Basically Team Two's goal has to be for the other two to protect Mysa until she can whip up spell to take out the other team (or at least protect them from Imra), and I don't think they're going to be able to do it. Gim's not going to be a very effective forest fighter, and Lu can pretty much overwhelm him until one of her bodies makes it past him to kayo Mysa, plus all that mass that he gains when he grows... my guess is that Kono's redirecting that straight into Kent. And if Lu doesn't take out Mysa, I'm pretty sure Imra will.

Team One

2. Normally, Shikari would be a huge advantage in a maze stage, but not when you have two members who can throw up force fields, and another member who can defeat any single opponent. Basically, Neon and Kid Psycho together isolate each individual member of the other team successively with Nemesis Kid, who takes them down one on one.

Team Three

3. Hmm... on the one hand you have Element Lad, who is one of the few characters who can easily take down Supergirl. However, the other two members of Team Five don't seem like they could stand up to other two members of Team Six. Once Jan takes out Kara, then he's pretty much up against both Zoe and Garth, and, while I think he could probably take out either one individually, I'm going to put my money on the two of them being too much for him.

Team Six

4. This is a tough one. I'm assuming Computo can take control of the fire jets, but that's pretty much useless against Laurel and Tinya. Rond might be able to take down Laurel, but in doing so he's probably vulnerable to attack by Tinya. And I don't see Chuck being all that effective in this battle.

Team Seven

1. *Saturn Girl, Kono & Duplicate Damsel vs. *Impulse, White Witch & Colossal Boy in the Forest Stage

This is a tough one because arguably the two most powerful (in a non-punchy way) Legion femmes are in opposition here - Saturn Girl and White Witch. It will come down to which can take the other out first... and that's where White Witch has the edge since she has the Legion's resident speedster on her team - Impulse. The two of them will team up to take out Saturn Girl while Kono de-materialises Colossal Boy, rendering him ineffective. White Witch will then cast a spell on Kono to temporarily strip her of her powers, giving Impulse enough time to knock her out. This distracts White Witch long enough for Duplicate Damsel to surround her and take her down. Leaving Impulse vs. Duplicate Damsel. His speed vs. her duplication - a very close match-up. But if her duplications are infinite (which I think they are?) then there will have to come a point when the overwhelming fight tires him, enabling one of her many fresh bodies to take him down. It will be a loooooooonnnngg fight (with about a thousand unconscious Luornus scattered around the stage) but Duplicate Damsel will emerge the last Legionnaire standing. And who would have predicted that with those teammates and opponents?

*Saturn Girl, Kono & Duplicate Damsel for the win.

2. *Neon, Kid Psycho & Nemesis Kid vs. *Tyroc, Shikari & Chlorophyll Kid in the Maze Stage

One member from each team can easily find their way out of the maze (Neon and Shikari) but Neon can do so much more than Shikari, and her team is effectively already one down anyway since Chlorophyll Kid's powers will be severely limited in that environment. Tyroc's screams will be amplified by the walls of that stage, probably enabling him to knock out Kid Psycho, but then Nemesis Kid could take him out, leaving Neon to handily mop up Chlorophyll Kid and Shikari.

*Neon, Kid Psycho & Nemesis Kid for the win.

3. *Nightwind, Element Lad & Echo vs. *Kinetix, Lightning Lad & Supergirl in the Forest Stage

Kinetix is once again limited by the stage and not having any inanimate objects around to manipulate, so it's effectively 2 on 3 here. And Element Lad knows exactly how to take out a Kryptonian - turn all of the trees into kryptonite. Lightning Lad could then zap him from afar but Nightwind and Echo are also long range fighters, and make a great combination since her wind can keep their opponents off balance while his sound waves cut through it all, knocking them out.

*Nightwind, Element Lad & Echo for the win.

4. *Andromeda, Shrinking Violet & Phantom Girl vs. *Rond Vidar, Bouncing Boy & Computo on the Furnace Stage

Why couldn't this battle have been fought on the Laboratory Stage?!? [Frown] Then I would have definitely given it to Team Eight. As it is, I can see a couple of ways for them to take out one or (at most) two of the other team, but without computers for Computo to access, or walls for Bouncing Boy to build momentum bouncing off, they are severely disadvantaged. So it unfortunately has to be...

*Andromeda, Shrinking Violet & Phantom Girl for the win.

Third Round Battles
1. Team One: *Saturn Girl, Kono and Duplicate Damsel vs. Team Two: *Impulse, White Witch, and Colossal Boy in the Forest Stage

These are getting more difficult. I think Saturn Girl, Kono, and Duplicate Damsel are more cunning, and can figure out a nifty way to get the upper hand. Kono is ruthless, I think she can take down Mysa by surprising her, and Duplicate Damsel can check both Colossal Boy and Impulse. (It's never been shown just how fast or strong Impulse is. Unfortunately. )

Then there's always Imra.

Team One: *Saturn Girl, Kono and Duplicate Damsel

2. Team Three: *Neon, Kid Psycho, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Four: *Tyroc, Shikari, and Chlorophyll Kid in the Maze Stage

Hmm, It would be interesting if it were a garden maze. Which is what I imagine it to be. I think Tyroc's team has an advantage because Shikari is on their team for the maze. Especially if they have to hunt each other down or start at different positions. I think Tyroc would take out Neon. He's tough, Celeste is too but pretty amateurish with her green energy powers. Shikari could go a few rounds with Nemesis Kid I think, she's wily, and might be able to *see* a way to dodge his powers or something ... but would eventually lose. Kid Psycho ... I just think he would die sooner or later. Or refuse to use his power that is killing him, I mean how many years does he have left??? So maybe Tyroc, Shikari, and Chlorophyll Kid could pull this out by mobbing Nemesis Kid.

Team Four: *Tyroc, Shikari, and Chlorophyll Kid

3. Team Five: *Nightwind, Element Lad, and Echo vs. Team Six: *Kinetix, Lightning Lad, and Supergirl in the Forest Stage

Element Lad would need to fabricate some kryptonite super fast, or some other cage or impediment for Supergirl. (which is highly possible he could keep her occupied or slow her down)

I'm going to give Lightning Lad major points for his experience, especially over Nightwind and Echo who have had very little panel time. He may be able to beat them both.

If push came to shove, I suppose Kinetix could transmute Echo, since he's artificial, and all those trees are just fodder for her use.

So with Echo and Nightwind outclassed, the three can take down Element Lad. This oen would be really close though ...

Team Six: *Kinetix, Lightning Lad, and Supergirl

4. Team Seven: *Andromeda, Shrinking Violet, and Phantom Girl vs. Team Eight: *Rond Vidar, Bouncing Boy, and Computo on the Furnace Stage

This is even more tough. Andromeda vs. Rond. I think Computo and Bouncing Boy would have a worse time with the fire than Shrinking Violet or Phantom Girl (even though Bouncing Boy is very agile)

Rond may have to divert some energy or thought to the fires where as Andromeda wouldn't even have to bother.

Shrinking Violet could punch out Computo and between her and Phantom Girl could figure something out for Bouncing Boy.

I think Andromeda, shown as such a toughie would eventually burn out Rond.

Team Seven: *Andromeda, Shrinking Violet, and Phantom Girl

Btw - I think Kinetix's powers can also affect animate creatures. In Legionnaires 36 she slammed the Empress into a wall; Legionnaires 39 she was able to telekinetically lift Karate Kid; in Legionnaires 50 she shoved Mordru with her powers; and in Legionnaires 65 she lifted several Dark Circle soldiers at once.

She should certainly be able to affect trees and dirt [Smile]

Battles:

1. Team One: *Saturn Girl, Kono and Duplicate Damsel vs. Team Two: *Impulse, White Witch, and Colossal Boy in the Forest Stage

Man, this is tough. White Witch is the perfect "weapon" against Saturn Girl AND Kono. Question is, can Kent and Gim stall them long enough for Mysa to do her work?

If it were Mysa vs. Imra or Mysa vs. Kono ONLY, Team Two stands a decent chance. But Mysa vs. BOTH Imra and Kono? And let's not forget DD.

DD can take out Kent while Kono concentrates on Gim, and all Imra has to do is keep Mysa occupied long enough for the other two to finish THEIR battles and gang up on her. And in a Forest Stage...

Team One: *Saturn Girl, Kono and Duplicate Damsel

2. Team Three: *Neon, Kid Psycho, and Nemesis Kid vs. Team Four: *Tyroc, Shikari, and Chlorophyll Kid in the Maze Stage

Another tough one. Chlorophyll Kid has little to work with, so that leaves Tyroc and Kari.

Shikari can get them to safety, but their only hope is to overwhelm Nemesis Kid together. Still, with Kari's pathfinding abilities the three of them should be able to find each of the other's one by one and take them out.

Plus, Nemesis Kid's powers only work if someone is actively attacking him. They won't be much help getting him out of the maze.

Team Four: *Tyroc, Shikari, and Chlorophyll Kid

3. Team Five: *Nightwind, Element Lad, and Echo vs. Team Six: *Kinetix, Lightning Lad, and Supergirl in the Forest Stage

Whew! This is interesting. Nightwind and Echo are much less effective in a Forest Stage. Berta is powerful enough to topple a few trees, but that just lets the other team know where they are. Echo's sound powers will be less effective because of all the trees.

Element Lad can take out Supergirl by transmuting everything into kryptonite, but I think she should be able to take out Echo or Nightwind at least before then. Plus, Jan has to find her, whereas Kara can easily find - and avoid - him. She can also give Zoe and Garth info on where those two are.

If this were on the island stage, I'd give it to Jan's team, but in the forest...

Team Six: *Kinetix, Lightning Lad, and Supergirl

4. Team Seven: *Andromeda, Shrinking Violet, and Phantom Girl vs. Team Eight: *Rond Vidar, Bouncing Boy, and Computo on the Furnace Stage

Ohh... Poor Computo is helpless once more. Even if the jets of fire are controlled by computers, her enemies can all avoid it. So it's just Chuck and Rond vs. the other three. Even if Rond can stall Andromeda, Vi and Tinya can work together to bypass his ring. Poor Chuck doesn't stand a chance against a single one of them.

Team Seven: *Andromeda, Shrinking Violet, and Phantom Girl

Wow, I like these matchups. Kono vs. Tinya; Laurel vs. Kara. They're quite evenly-matched.

1.Team One: Kono, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl vs. Team Two: *Kinetix, Shikari, and Phantom Girl on the Rumble Stage

Playing on a soccer field gives Chlor an advantage he normally wouldn't, so that's a plus. Chlor + Imra + Kono give Team One three long-ranged fighters, vs. only Zoe for Team Two.

I can see Kono and Tinya going head to head, but Kono easily has an advantage here. I doubt even Tinya would be immune to Kono's powers, unless I'm missing something.

If it comes down to Ral vs. Zoe, Zoe is easily more versatile. I'll give this one to Zoe.

However, Imra vs. Kari will definitely go to Imra. Heck, one-on-one, Imra can beat anyone on the other team...

Poor Zoe can't beat both Imra and Kono.

Much as I'd like Team Two to make it, I'll have to give this to Team One...

Team One: Kono, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl

2. Team Three: Lightning Lad, *Andromeda, and Shrinking Violet vs. Team Four: Supergirl, Duplicate Damsel, and *Tyroc on the Furnace Stage

Whew! Tough call.

Let's say Laurel and Kara battle each other. Tyroc and Lu together can overwhelm Garth, which leaves Violet. Violet can take out Tyroc, but that will leave Lu vs. Violet, neither of whom can really do much to each other. Vi can attack Lu, who keeps making more duplicates. In return, Lu can't do anything to microscopic Vi.

If I were Lu or Vi, I'd turn my attention to interfering in the Kara/Laurel battle.

Now, no matter how many Luornu's there are, they can't really do anything to Andy, and it's not as if there's a phantom zone projector lying around...

On the other hand, Violet can go for Supergirl. What I don't know is whether she can do anything - Kara's invulnerability would extend to her cells, right?

Tough call, but since Adventure Era lore always said Mon-El was stronger than Superboy, I'll give this to the Andromeda + Violet tandem.

Team Three: Lightning Lad, *Andromeda, and Shrinking Violet

I just want to say first of all how cool it is that Tinya and Shrinking Violet have made it this far.

Round Four Battles
1.Team One: Kono, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl vs. Team Two: *Kinetix, Shikari, and Phantom Girl on the Rumble Stage

Rumble stage is a brawl stage ...

I think Saturn Girl just lets loose immediately stunning or incapacitating them, she can also project illusions into their minds to misdirect them. And she's smart enough to think of these tricks too. She's one of the only ones that can take down Tinya.

Chlorophyll Kid could entangle the others especially if he still carries around those seeds ... more importantly Kono can also take down every other member of the team with a few hand waves.

Kinetix is the most problematic for the other team but I think Saturn Girl would act faster. and Kono checks Kinetix almost.

Sorry I love *Kinetix, Shikari, and Phantom Girl

but

Team One: Kono, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl wins.

2. Team Three: Lightning Lad, *Andromeda, and Shrinking Violet vs. Team Four: Supergirl, Duplicate Damsel, and *Tyroc on the Furnace Stage

I think Andromeda is just stronger than Supergirl. From what I've seen in the comics and Andromeda is always depicted as a body builder 7' tall type, where as Kara is not.

However, Shrinking Violet and Duplicate Damsel check each other, I think Vi might eventually lose unless she hides and picks them off but that could take forever, I'm curious to see if Tyroc can take down a Shrinking Vi with sound waves, or if she could give him an aneurism first ?

Lightning Lad versus Tyroc, tough, Garth has way more experience and would win in a battle of energy blasts versus sound blasts but tyroc can teleport (right?) iI still believe he can pull at least some of these stunts even if writers now just use him as a Banshee of the X-Men type.

I think Andromeda would pull it out.

I think I'm give Garth a *founders have more experience give away ... * Nah forget it, Tyroc was awesome in the 5yg. TYROC!

SCREW IT! Tyroc takes down Garth moves on to helping Duplicate Damsel with Vi and is one of the few Legionnaires that can take down a weak Andromeda from her battle with Supergirl.

(unfortunately I think the furnace stage especially limits Duplicate Damsel like no other legionnaire. She couldn't duplicate more than a few (5 to 10) or she'd be over crowding the area and burning herself up. Large Vi too but at least she only has to worry about one of her selves and can shrink to easily avoid it. this is still enough to keep Vi busy though)

Team Four: Supergirl, Duplicate Damsel, and *Tyroc on the Furnace Stage

(I really wanted to see Garth versus Imra [Frown] )

Once again, voting before reading anyone else's.

1. Kono, Chlorophyll Kid & *Saturn Girl vs. *Kinetix, Shikari & Phantom Girl on the Rumble Stage

Kinetix is the biggest threat on her team so Saturn Girl will take her down immediately. Kono is more powerful than Phantom Girl so she'll win that battle but Shikari will probably be able to weave through all the flora hazards Chorophyll Kid throws in her way to knock him out. She won't then be able to overcome his two teammates on her own though so...

Kono, Chlorophyll Kid & *Saturn Girl for the win.

2. Lightning Lad, *Andromeda & Shrinking Violet vs. Supergirl, Duplicate Damsel & *Tyroc on the Furnace Stage

This is a tough one. Let's start with the blonde power-houses since they'll obviously go head-to-head. I think they're evenly matched in terms of strength/speed/etc. but I think Supergirl might have a few extra abilities like her super-brain, super-breath and some of her vision powers (or does Andromeda have all them too? I can't remember.) But Andromeda strikes me as more willing to fight a little rougher. Hmmm. I actually can't predict a winner between these two so it will come down to whichever one has more teammates left to help them out.

I see the other match-ups going one of two ways -

1) Tyroc screams first and knocks out Shrinking Violet (because I don't think she can shrink down smaller than sound waves). Lightning Lad then takes him out but this gives Duplicate Damsel the opportunity to overwhelm him and then assist Supergirl to a win.

2) Lightning Lad electrifies Tyroc first while Shrinking Violet assists Andromeda by shrinking down and shutting down Supergirl's super-brain. Duplicate Damsel overwhelms him but then is no match for the speed AND strength of Andromeda.

So it all comes down to whether Lightning Lad or Tyroc can be first off the mat. And, unfortunately, you always see the lightning before you hear the thunder so...

Lightning Lad, *Andromeda & Shrinking Violet for the win.

1.Team One: Kono, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl vs. Team Two: *Kinetix, Shikari, and Phantom Girl on the Rumble Stage

Well, Phantom Girl has survived quite awhile in virtue of the fact that she's pretty much impossible to take down by any physical attack, but here we have someone who can attack her non-physically, so Imra basically takes Tinya out of it. Kono takes down Shikari with extra mass. Ral makes stuff grow, but that just gives Zoe more stuff to telekinetically manipulate and use against him. But Zoe isn't going to be a match for both Kono and Imra once it's all over.

So... Kono, Chlorophyll Kid, and *Saturn Girl

2. Team Three: Lightning Lad, *Andromeda, and Shrinking Violet vs. Team Four: Supergirl, Duplicate Damsel, and *Tyroc on the Furnace Stage

This is a difficult one. I'm actually thinking the two blonde powerhouses are pretty much even, so it comes down to the other four. Vi might sneak up on one of Lu, but the moment she grows another one will take her down. And if she grows, the Lu's overwhelm her, Liliputian style (plus furnace environment is probably not ideal for giants).

LL versus Tyroc is difficult to call, since they are both potentially long-range fighters, and neither is really helped or hindered by the environment. Lightning travels faster than sound, however, so I'm going to give it to Garth.

This, however, creates a dilemma, because Tyroc and Vi were the ones who were most likely to be useful in breaking the stalemate between the two powerhouses. I'm going to suggest, however, that after dispatching Vi, Lu sends some of her bodies to fight Garth, which doesn't really accomplish much, but sends others up to aid in the Laurel/Kara battle, which doesn't really accomplish much either, but distracts Laurel enough that Kara scores a victory, and then takes down Garth.

Supergirl, Duplicate Damsel, and *Tyroc

This has been a fun game and can I just say how thrilled I am to see Tyroc, Duplicate Damsel and especially Chlorophyll Kid make it this far!

---

Supergirl, Kono & *Tyroc vs. Duplicate Damsel, *Saturn Girl & Chlorophyll Kid on the Rumble Stage

Like that battle in the previous round, I see this fight going one of two ways. However, unlike the previous battle, both of those ways have the same outcome.

1) Saturn Girl is her team's heavy hitter so Tyroc's team will need to go for her first, and luckily for them, they have super-speed on their side. Supergirl takes out Saturn Girl before she can get a mental command off. Chlorophyll Kid throws some plants in the others' way but Kono moves through them and neutralises him. Duplicate Damsel sends her bodies after Tyroc but, no matter how many bodies she has, they're all affected by a single scream - and with that, Tyroc takes them all out.

or

2) Saturn Girl is able to get her command off before Supergirl gets to her. I don't think she has the power to control the super-brain of a Kryptonian though so she will know to control Kono instead, and get her to de-materialise Supergirl, thus forcing Kono to take her own strongest ally out of the fight. Tyroc is no slouch either though and the great thing about his power is that it is long-range and, unlike a number of his team-mates' long-range abilities, can affect a number of opponents at once. So, seeing how the battle is turning, he takes a step back and screams at all of his opponents together - making sure to at least take out Saturn Girl and Kono. Even if Chlorophyll Kid and/or Duplicate Damsel are able to evade his first scream, all Tyroc has to do is dodge Chlorophyll Kid's plants and keep out of Duplicate Damsel's reach long enough to let off one more scream. Which he is smart and capable enough to do. And with that...

Supergirl, Kono & *Tyroc for the win.

Ditto.

I had to read the previous post this time before writing my own ... but I was thinking the same thing ...

I think Supergirl is just plain faster than Imra's telepathic blasts or control. Even if it takes Imra only a second or two, or the time it takes to say a word to activate her powers. Kara can already run her down. Besides Kara has an enhanced brain and very strong will, I doubt Imra could do more than stun or slow her. At least in the short term. (furthermore I assume super speed comes with super reflexes so Kara could also activate her super speed powers before Saturn Girl can access her telepathy)

Meanwhile Tyroc, even without his reality warping abilities can wipe out a lot of the competition.

This isn't actually Kono's greatest match up, she can dodge through Chlorophyll Kid's attempts to grab her, as well as Duplicate Damsels attempts but there's too much going on for her to take down more than one or two of Lu's duplicates and/or Chlorophyll Kid. (Unless she starts killing them by phasing them into the ground, the shock value alone would ruin the battle. LOL. )

In short, trying to take down Supergirl can check Saturn Girl long enough for Kono and Tyroc to mow down the duplicates and Chlorophyll Kid.

If this were a maze round, or lab or something, Saturn Girl could evade or hide while she picks off the others but in this brawl stage I see Supergirl and/or Tyroc trying to steam roll her first.

NICE THINKING btw!

I could see her commanding everyone to take down Supergirl but I just don't think she has the time. Maybe post boot Imra could.

Supergirl, Kono & *Tyroc for the win.

Team One: Supergirl, Kono, and *Tyroc vs. Team Two: Duplicate Damsel, *Saturn Girl, and Chlorophyll Kid on the Rumble Stage

Whoo! What a fun matchup.

If Kono and Imra were on the same team, they could definitely take down Supergirl. As it is, though, Imra has to contend with both Kono and Kara... I think that if she takes down one, the other will take her out instead.

Let's say Imra manages to blast Kara first. Kono then takes Imra out.

So that leaves Tyroc and Kono vs. DD and Chlor.

Let's assume DD has like a hundred duplicates out by now (I wonder what her upper limit is, anyway?) Tyroc's powers can take out multiples, but Kono is limited to one enemy at a time. Chlor can grow plants to act as a shield.

Tyroc would run interference while Kono goes for Chlor. She then takes Chlor out of the game and starts taking out DD; but she gets overconfident and DD takes her out.

Tyroc vs. DD, then.

As long as Tyroc can watch his back, he should be able to take out DD by himself. He doesn't even have to "aim" at her to win!

Supergirl, Kono, Tyroc

Yeah, there's several ways this could go, but they all seem to go the way of Team One. Unless we assume that Imra can just take out all three of the members of the other team at once, she's pretty much vulnerable to either of the other two, and I don't see her teammates really being able to help her much. Lu's duplicates just become fodder for Kono's power, and she can redirect their mass to take down Ral. Meanwhile, Tyroc takes down any remaining Lu duplicates plus Imra.

So, it's Supergirl, Kono, and Tyroc for the win.

Congratulations to the winners of the LSH Tournament! They are: Team One: Supergirl, Kono, and *Tyroc. Thank you for your participation and I hope to see you all in the LSV Tournament. If the next few Tournaments are as successful, you may see the winners again.

Wonderful! Thanks, Emily. Can't wait - the villains are more bloodthirsty so it should be interesting to see how their battles turn out.
