Oh wow! This is an outstanding cover! Lookit Mysa go! Now, this makes me more excited for the story!
Perez has been doing really really well lately ... I think his last two issues of World's Finest are as good as his Titans days ... as far as breakdowns and story telling. (I thought he got too sketchy for a while, and his faces got scrunchy, but no more!)

and his inking is fantastic too.
Yay Perez Legion! Even if it is just the cover.
The Perez cover does, indeed, look nice. I'm excited for "Smallville," though. I was wondering how long they'd take before bringing back the Legionnaires. Even better that he's going to the future this time.
That reminds me, I really need to catch up on the Smallville comic--last time I read it, it was still in the Batman arc.
Well, given Didio's "apology" to the writers and artists for all the editorial bs lately, maybe the book will find better footing.

Now we just need 'wolf and the crew back.

Sadly, I don't really see any reason why Legion would have any orders on high from editorial. Any reason why the book isn't as good as it should is probably solely on the feet of Levitz, IMO.
Wow, this is the first I have heard about the Legion being in the Smallville comic, thank you! Have they been appearing there already, or is this appearance solely for the new story arc?

Love seeing Mysa on the cover... can't wait to see her in action. smile
Glad to see Mysa back! Maybe the whole "Black Witch" development will finally be resolved. Hope that means Blok will appear too. Would be very happy if some reference to Kinetix will be made - either her return, or at the very least her magical energies being released and her finding some peace.

As far as I can figure out, this seems to be the first time they've appeared in the Smallville comic. Can anyone confirm?

I'd love them to bring George onto this book, and this story would have been agreat place to do it. Portela is a nice illustrator, but he doesn't yet have the storytelling ability that the Legion needs. Keith and George have that in spades.

So I flipped through this at the store today (didn't buy it), and WHO did I see appear toward the end of the book? None other than...
Earth Man!
I'm not even kidding! lol

Earthman!?. This xenophobic plot device is really getting old.
Whilst he has the same name, face and costume it does not seem to be, quite, the same guy; at least not so far.

This story has been pretty good so far especially after I got over the surprise of Brainy not being green (never watched the show) and I am quite looking forward the remaining issues.
It sure looks like an alternate-continuity Earth Man to me. They call him "Minister" so I guess he's in government.

There was a nice reference by Garth to Catspaw: he said something about letting the dumaka out of the bag.
The impression I get so far from the story is that, rather than introduce faceless bureaucrat #56, they are using him for face recognition purposes only.
So Earth Man's basically...an easter egg?!?! confused

I this is indeed the context in which he was used, why not instead use someone fans might rather see, like Tenzil, Shvaughn, Lyle or pretty much anyone else?!? shrug
Based on today's issue there is every chance that they may all be Legionnaires still. Wildfire, Dawnstar, Karate Kid, Star Boy, Ferro Lad and Sun Boy were all shown and there was a group panel where (possibly) Shadow Lass and maybe Chemical King were seen.

I say possibly and maybe because the one who could be Shady was white (but then again so is Brainy) and the man who could be Condo has his back to the page so could also be Rond, Chlorofyll Kid or just somebody in a green jacket.
