Pov, why is it every time I follow one of your links it costs me money?? lol lol

A "Forgotten Great" who deserves far more respect than he has received.
If it means anything, buddy--
If I care to share it, I've bought it too! lol

Just an FYI: If anyone still wants to order this, it's listed in the September Previews,p.356 as SEP032790. DCBS is still accepting orders fro September solicits using their downloadable Excel ordersheet for that month, and it's listed with a 25% discount at $14.21. Hope that helps! smile
The description mentioned something about his tragic life ... it should be good reading. I pre-ordered it as well. Binder created a lot of DC classic characters.
Otto Binder had a daughter who was hit by a car when she was a teenager. She was an only child and she didn't survive, so that must be the tragedy which they're talking about.
Hey, Cramer! (--and anyone else who may've ordered or be interested in checking this out... smile )

Keep an eye out for this... I just got my copy today from DCBS. I've only had a chance for a cursory leaf-thru, but there's alot of black and white artwork and pictures, as well as a glossy color cover gallery spanning OB's published works. I think I'm going to enjoy this... smile

(And I saw at least one mention of the Legion, so all you AR collectors HAVE to get this! NYAH! tongue wink )
I was planning on picking this up, Legion or no Legion.

I'll probably wait until San Diego, though, when I'll have the money to burn and the inclination to burn it.
I did get this book. Binder was quite an interesting character himself, with a lot of different ideas. He wrote science fiction before getting into comics and I believe he scooped Asimov on the robot-human interaction stories by several years. Although we associate robots with Asimov today, his series was enormously popular at the time.
