Okay, I know that as a literary form a haiku is not just five, seven and five syllables, but throwing that to the wind, let's try to come up with some Legion haiku. Can we do one for each Legionnaire?
I'll start with Cosmic Boy (natch):
Cos is the leader.
Were the qualifications
"Looks good in bustier"?
Imra after Rokk.
A sham election won.
Woman for our time.
Help Brainiac Five.
The lab's exploded because
Kara distracts Querl.
Garth can shoot lightning
From his fingers at a whim.
Glad I'm not a whim!
Three of her there were
Then two, finally just one.
Poor, sweet luckless Lu.
Tinya walks through walls.
Can she feel it when she does?
Does the wall feel her?
Timber Wolf is all alone
naked in the wilderness
Maybe i'll join him
Is Cham he or she?
This was never a problem
Till the new version.
Does Gim become big?
Or does he shrink to normal?
We may never know!
Thunder struck like lightning
searching for eternity
Now she is no more
He used to be dead.
But whether living or dead,
Lyle cannot be seen.

All he does is bounce.
He's jolly and we like him.
And he married Lu.
Kinetix has flare.
Green tresses and red flushed hair.
Clothes always changing.
Projectra was once queen
Then she was a snake
What is she now?
Cocky attitude,

Ultra Boy's the man!
He's a real hot guy,
But not just a pretty face:
Dirk is a bright boy!
Violet so beautiful and shrunk
So scared and unsure
Courageous underneath the shell
"Hand him an old shoe."
It must have got so tiresome:
"Here, Tenzil, eat this!"
Energy-full, body aflame
More than man, more than beast
Its just Drake Burroughs, Wildfire!
Was but now was not
Boy of Steel to inspire
Kal-el from Krypton
First she's Lightning Lass
Then Light Lass, Gossamer, Spark.
Ayla collects names.
Blue skin and shadow.

Mulberries, konos
and peas, 'sunbask', awaiting

Talokian Daze
A dry sky bristles
from the dark, as pale sand warms
with ancient Attitude.

Windless clouds violet,
