IRESA SPECULATIONS

Spec!! It is likely that Iresa dumped Chuck after he regained his powers and got fat again, circa ADVENTURE # 350-351.

Spec!! Could it be that Iresa is the mother of preboot Cera Kesh, who became the Emerald Empress in LEGIONNAIRES?
Let's check the facts:

*Both were ample

*Both had brown hair

*Both liked skinny Legionnaires (Iresa liked Chuck when he was slender, and Cera ad a crush on Dirk Morgna).

Bah! Gold-digger! Her tricks may have worked on poor unsuspecting Chuck, but I'd like to see her give Dirk a try like Cera did!

Hmm... could Chuck Taine be Cera Kesh's father?

POPPIN' PARAKATS!!! There's a theory for us! But he would have had to have knocked her up before he regained his powers and got dumped by her. And I can't see sweet jovial Chuck doing that. Of course, who knows what Iresa might have done to Chuck with her hussylike wiles. She might have taken advantage of his sweet, innocent nature.


Spec!! I wonder if Lu teased Chuck about Iresa after they were married. "Oh, you don't like my space-casserole? Well, wy don't you just go back to Ireeeeeeesa then. She looked like a good cook!!!"

Hmm... Chuck and Iresa dated for a little over two years while he was powerless, from late 2975 to early 2978. If she got pregnant shortly before she dumped him (which presumably she would have to have for him to not know about it), that would mean that Cera was born in late 2978. That would probably make her 16 when she tried out for the Legion in 2995!

Maybe Luornu's other body suspected that that was the case, which is why she was unfaithful!

But let me suggest someone else: Bouncing Boy was teleported via the Seven Stones of Alactos to the dimensional realm of Nadir where he was supposed to combat Kodar for the hand of Princess Elwinda. If it had been Chuck instead of Cham (who was Chuck in disguise) who would have been married to the Princess, then his marriage to Duo Damsel would have been bigamous!!!!

It all sounds like heavy BS - but would have made some interesting developments had those minor plot threads been further developed.

Here's a new question...did skinny Chuck pop Supes in the nose after that rude comment? I think he would have, knowing that Superboy would only respect his ilk.

Mostly agree; the only reason that Chuck wouldn't hit Superboy is that invunerability. They made the point in too many pre-Crisis stories that a human can break his hand on Superman, if he doesn't use his super-reflexes to roll with the punch.

But yelling at Superboy and demanding he apologize? That's perfectly acceptable.
