Continuing the pronounciation thread, but this time with supporting cast and or long forgotten aspects of Legion lore:

1. Sinde (how is it said...Sind (without the e, coz it might be "silent", or is it said as "Cindy"?
2. Iresa (I-ress-ah or I-ree-sah)
3. Markita (Mar-kit-ah or Mar-kee-tah)
4. Uli Algor (You-lee Al-gore or Uhl-i or You-Lie, this last especially appropriate considering how she treated Shady)
5. Yark Althu - Yarr-k All-foo or Yawk Alt-hoo?

Anyone who can come up with more bizarre sounding names, please be my guest

Here's how I read them:

1. Sinde (I've always read it as "Cindy")
2. Iresa (I've always pronounced it as Ir-e-sa ~ "Ir" as in irritate, "e" as in egg, "sa" as in Saturday))
3. Markita (Mar-key-tah)
4. Uli Algor (Uhl-i Al-gore)
5. Yark Althu - Yarr-k Alt-hoo)

My take:

1. Sinde ("Cindy" but I always see it too 'quickly' and think "Sydney")
2. Iresa (Eye-rissa)
3. Markita (Mar-key-tah, same as Vee)
4. Uli Algor (Ewe-lee Al-gore)
5. Yark Althu - (umm, Hey You smile )

1) ibid.
2) Iresa (Ear - RAY - zah) Like how a German says the last two sylables of the name Theresa.
3) ibid.
4) Uli (Ewe-lee)
5) Althu (All-thoo)

No argument on any except number 2, which I would pronounce "eye-REE-sa".

What does "ibid" stand for, if you dont mind me asking, Tamper Lad?

ibid is commonly used in footnotes when you want to quote the same source as you've just used before. I used it here to say I agree with both previous posters.
