Inferno mini-series - 09/20/03 02:26 AM
I was just going through my back issues and came upon the Inferno mini-series from a few years back, with Sandy Anderson confronting an evil entity and a psychedelic panda in a 20th-century shopping mall.
I seem to recall that the mini-series wasn't particularly well-received when it came out. I didn't have a hugely positive reaction when I read it for the first time, but when I flipped through it again this time, I found myself really liking the Stuart Immonen art (I've always been a fan of Stuey, though ), and the writing wasn't as bad as I'd remembered.
Other than the rather odd dream stuff with the giant panda, I thought the story did a good job of shedding light (so to speak) on Inferno, who had a far more complex personality than her earlier "hothead" appearances with the WorkForce had implied. Now, I kind of wish we could see more of Sandy in the present day DCU... we know she's out there somewhere.
What did/do you all think?
