Hello! I'm new to the board (should I be codenamed Statement of the Obvious Lass?). *waves*
I first started reading about the Legion around 1994. I used to go to the newsgroups but after I moved I was unable to access newsgroups and have no idea how to go to them now. I wasn't able to get Legion when I was in Guam so I just started collecting them again. I've missed alot but am trying to catch up.
My favorite character is Brainiac 5. I like to see him paired with Andromeda. I just joined an emailing list for Brainiac 5 discussion and someone referred me to this board. :-)
Anyways, I just wanted to say hello.

Yay!! Another Brainy fan!

Thanks! I had gotten about to the point where Brainiac 5 got arrested for the time machine stuff and then I moved to Guam where there were no comic book stores at all. The bx didn't care many comics. I managed to pick some up at the SD Comic Con when I was on homeleave but I'm still missing some. I've since moved again and need to check over my collection to figure out what I do and do not have. I missed how they got home. And I missed the entire Legion Lost thingy. There are no comic stores near me so I have a friend in another state mail them to me (that way I get bags and backing boards-- people at my post office would crumple the comics up if I got subscription).
So, how did the legion become lost? What's up with Brainiac 5 having disks on his head? What happened to koko?
I've been getting the recent Legion comics.. I might have missed one, but again I have to check. My newer comics are all on my bed (or next to my bed, under my bed, etc). I still haven't unpacked from the move.
Oh, and does anyone know what race Brainiac 5's great great great grandmother, Stealth, was? I know she had white hair, orange skin, and could sort of morph her hands and arms a bit..

It's good to get back into messageboards.
My own Robin and Spoiler messageboard got shut down because people stopped posting and I got distracted.
I'm supposed to be a co-moderator for the Titans (formerly Young Justice) messageboard at comicboards.com but I'm a deadbeat. heh. I was into YJ, Batman, and Robin for awhile but since writers have changed I don't have quite the same interest anymore. So I'm back on my Legion kick. So far it's been fun. :-)

Yeah, I wish I'd seen how she responded to Brainy when he got back from being "lost". Although I think someone told me they didn't have time for a reunion or something. I saw her new costume. Bleh. I miss her old one. I'm sure Brainy does too.
I tried to find some fanfics that paired post-boot Brainy and Andy. I only managed to find two. One was really good (at fanzing) and another was an extremely disturbing porno written by someone who seems to have a hardcore s&m fetish. *shudder*
I kindof want to see how Andromeda would react if she found out Supergirl gave Brainy his first kiss. (someone told me about the issue so I haven't seen it yet). Btw, did any of the other Legionnaires see the kiss or were they alone?
I bet Superboy would've been shocked.

I really liked that costume. I usually don't care for orange costumes, but that one worked.

I don't have the issue with me, but I did look at it fairly recently -- I think it's the one with the "True Romance"-style cover. IIRC, the story centered on Brainy's malfunctioning force field (or something similar), and I don't think any other Legionnaires were around to see the kiss. Does anyone have a link to the cover or remember the story more clearly?

Hey Somebody! Good to see you here too. My brother just almost got me in trouble on the YJMB with his post that got deleted and himself banned.. lol. I occassionally fix typos on the board but really don't do much on it. Batmite does all the hard work.
Hmm.. I wrote down the issue and number of the B5 and Supergirl story and will ask a friend to pick it up for me. I hate not having any comic shops within 100 miles of where I live.
Oh, and I found out that I have #104 so I saw the one where they first came out of the anomoly and that there was very little interaction between Brainy and Andy. I was very disappointed. I wonder how long it seemed to Brainy. I hate Andy's new costume. I liked the starfield thing and the loincloth of her old one.

Well, it beats when there were no comic shops within 1,000 miles and the only way to to get to the shops was to take a plane.
I just read all my Legion comics. I have some missing that I know I own but just can't find. Time to get a flashlight and look under the bed.
I hope none of them fell on the floor in my bro's room when he borrowed them.
