I'll settle for the reserves at least - its gotta be less dangerous.

This is only a guess, but it is possible that one's member ranking doesn't take hold until one actually posts, and there may be people who have registered but not posted.

Unless you've seen Applicants with zero posts listed, in which case I'm just talking out of the other side of my mouth again.

Could be but there would have to be another factor. At the time there were 48 members with 0 posts. Added to the list that would have brought the total to 153, still 13 members shy of the 166.

I'll second THAT!

Those who weren't on the crew didn't see the blizzard of e-mail behind the scenes, quite apart from the periodic summaries I sent out. We had nearly everyone running into multiple potholes, nearly all of them from Yahoo!.

With all this, I'm amazed at the persistence that got it all saved in a week! Six days, actually. On the seventh day everyone rested ... and found that Yahoo!, driven to its knees, was giving another two weeks to save the files *sigh*

BIG kudos to Grey for orchestrating it all. He had a plan and it worked great. His numbering system (which I didn't even think about) was so simple to use it helped me save my files quicker I think.

And another BIG thanks to everyone who helped out. Prior to the annoucement I was going to attempt to salvage the files on my on. I must have been crazy thinking that. I just hope that with the new legionpics.net all your hard work will continue to be appreciated.

Call me ignorant...but HOW do you find out if you are in the top 40 or what ranking you are in? I am just curious...(I am still pouting that I lost at least 30 posts..grr...so close to 150 posts...now have to do it all over again).

Don't feel bad, it took me awhile to figure it out, too.

Click on "directory" then "Search Members." That will bring up a list of members in the order they joined. Now click on "Posts" and you'll have a memebership list sorted by post count.

Oh, well thanks. THAT will save me some time. Like an idiot I have been seaching by member catagory (i.e. advisor, active, sub, etc.) Did not realize I could conduct a blank search and get everyone.

Now I guess I can answer EDE's question as to number of registered users with zero posts.....

Between a full time job, my duties at the Fire Depertment, taking 2 classes, and year end garden and yard clean up... time is at a premium. The thread count lost out.

A few comments and notes:

superboymddjr again takes the biggest leap on the chart -- a whopping 10 notches this time! Congratulations, supes!

Other big gains are seen by Outdoor Miner and deanlegion (five notches each) and STU and yours truly (three notches each). I'm kinda surprised that I moved up to 14th place. I thought I was doing all I could to hang on no. 17 in the face of such tough competition.

Semi Transparent Fellow enters the Top 40 this week, which means somebody had to drop out. Goodbye, Mekt Ranzz -- for now, I'm sure.

All in all, these Top 40 updates are a hoot. I'm sure it's inspired some friendly competition to see how high we can get. (Look out you guys who have the Top 10 nailed down! You may be facing some serious threats to your dominance in the coming weeks. )
