So is there actual Boxing on Boxing Day?

Boxing Day, a non-Englishman's attempt at explaining. Apparently it was/is the custom to leave a little present for the tradesmen on the day after Christmas (most not working on Christmas I assume) The gift would be left in the tradesman's box, hence Boxing Day.

so its just an excuse to drink now eh?
