I have had some commissions done for me of some Legion based characters. I hope this is the right place to post these. I am new and hesitant to offend.

First I will start with the Green Lantern Mon-El with Dyogene.

Now on to some of the most unsavory of characters (no offense but I am a hero kind of guy) but a must for my collection.

Mano

[Linked Image]

His eyes glow in the dark.

Persauder

And Validus (Tharok and Emerald Empress are in the works)

One non-Legion DC character: The colonial hero, Miss Liberty

Wow! They look absolutely great. The Fatal Five ones in particular really bring out their defining traits. I'd be constantly checking that Mano one wasn't trying to get closer. smile
I have others I am having work on. Shvaughn Erin, Tyroc, Saturn Girl, Earth Man, etc.

Here are some non-conversions on display in my Nerd Room.

[Linked Image]

Oops the Supergirl is technically a conversion since that was not her original base.
Wow, these are awesome! I'm totally jealous! ElasticLad
Wow! These are great! And Miss Liberty?!? Totally random but totally cool!

The only issue I've read her in was that issue of All Star Squadron she died in, but I always wanted to see more of her (and that era).
Thanks guys. I am working on a lot more of these. Many characters that never got they chance at some love.

Here are some of my Marvel Liberty Legion conversions (Red Raven and Patriot in the works).

She shared a lot of appearances with Tomahawk. Silver Age.
Love the Legion display. They look amazing. Form Brainy reaching for his force field belt to the quiet determination of Ferro Lad.

I see that the animalistic version of Brin has been chosen. A much better choice than having his arms stick straight out in a "I am a Teenage Android" pose or the bust lying horizontally on the base in an "I am a Teenage Lotus Fruit Fiend" pose. smile

The Liberty Legion. I 've not seen much of these guys at all. I think I got a couple of Invaders issues when I was a lot younger and then I'm relying on the Marvel Handbook. smile Great job in giving them another chance to shine.

That's the Thin Man at the back isn't it? I only know of him through reading up on Elongated Man being DC's take on the Thin Man movies with a superhero twist. Timely clearly weren't so bothered about keeping some distance in the name. He strikes me as looking like a proto-Vision.
Yes Thin Man, Miss America, Whizzer, Jack Frost and Blue Diamond. All are from the Golden Age. As are Red Raven, who will be full size, and Patriot, a bust on a bell. Also have a Vigilante and JLA Dr. Light bust and another Marvel, a Golden Age Thomas Halloway Angel, done but waiting for clean up and paint.

I have been collecting statues for awhile now and have been outgrowing my surroundings with them and comic boxes. I have White Witch, Phantom Girl, Cosmic Boy also painted and not yet displayed. Karate Kid is in the works. Dawnstar is waiting her turn. I hope to have more.

Okay, I really want them all. TW, UB, PP, SL and WF are done so well by my painter. CB's base is him morphing from it. The picture hides that. The sculptor did a beautiful job on these. Dying to see my avatar done but it is not yet been available.

I have waited 50 years, oops, showed my age, not that I care, I can wait longer. Besides I have 7 long boxes of comics that I need to read to catch up. I have been a real slacker lately.

P.S. The Invaders are the shelf under my Legionnaires.
I didn't remember Jack Frost at all. I didn't think the Golden Age would have a Kid Zombie somehow. smile He certainly looks creepier than Iceman ever did.

Looking at the Blue Diamond, I can't help but think of the Bronze Age Starman.

I was looking at the Cham bust and it's pose. I thought it had a "Guess what I'm going to turn into look" about it. I was wondering if having some of him morph into a creature would work. But it would be a shame to have him limited to a single creature and he's distinctive enough by himself. Having him morph from the base is a great idea. I think there's even a story where he's disguised as the base of something too. smile
And there are tentacles too. So I think he is coming out to transition from whatever he was before to the character we know. As if surprising his foe.
Well, if you ever happen to be passing it by and just sort of have a camera to hand... smile It sounds very cool.
Beautiful display, J! It's great to see a variety of poses are used, not everbody face front at attention. Love your Fatal Five busts - do you also have the Empress and Tharok? That Validus would give me nightmares!

The guy I am using is working on Tharok now. Emerald Empress will be last to be completed, so in this case the lady did not go first but makes the dramatic exit. Then I move to Shvaughn Erin.

It is impressive. The stoic determination of Mon-El, the "I can take on anything" look of Jo and Wildfire looking to blast something. Looking forward to seeing more.
I will see if I can get a pic of CB's base for you.

Here is another piece, Plastic Man. In honor of his recent exclusion on the JSA++ Idol! (Round 7) thread.

A great use of the base there too. He's wacky and funny looking but that hand coming our gives him a warm, friendly feel too.
And feel free to join in on the JSA Idol. Anyone can vote at any round. The more the merrier!
All of these are great, but I really like your Plastic Man
Plastic Man was a kit as is another JSA member, Wildcat.

Oh, I found pic with my Cosmic Boy and Phantom Girl painted prior to their cramming into my other display cabinet. That is a Tomar Re kit as well.

More great poses for the Legionaries. Tinya going through the base is a lovely touch.
Val has been finished just waiting on clean pics of him.
Very impressive work!
I love these figures! I do wish Plastic Man had better luck in the game, but this kind of like an honorary prize.
I have a ton of busts and statues both completed and in displays and needing to be built or converted to something else. So keep checking every once in a while for updates. Thanks for viewing. Now return to your monitor duty before Cosmic Boy finds out.

That's OK we left plenty of post-it notes on the board to cover our absence.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing. Like thoth said, I find the poses so unique. Tinya and Plas and Persuader in particular.
That's about the most ferocious Wildcat pose I can recall seeing.
Since these are popular here are some Lanterns:

Dex-Starr:

[Linked Image]

Blue Lantern Warth:

[Linked Image]

Atrocitus:

[Linked Image]

Arkillo:

[Linked Image]

And some none Lanterns:

Kid Flash:

[Linked Image]

Count Vertigo:

[Linked Image]

The Demon Etrigan:

[Linked Image]

Solomon Grundy:

[Linked Image]

Power Girl:

[Linked Image]

those were all kits that had to be built and painted but not by me or they would have looked like Jackson Pollock did them.
One of my builder/painters, Cire666777, has finished Karate Kid.

Don't worry. I don't believe he is a Weeping Angel. Just don't....BLINK.
laugh Yeah, I was thinking that Validus would make a nice night light for an unpleasant child.
Okay I got my three of the Fatal Five and have rearranged displays yet again. Ugh! Tigerchop did a great job on these.

Quick Mysa! Cast a spell or Cos & Tinya are for it!

What's that Alan? Don't put Doctor Fate on a higher shelf because you've not got over JSA Idol yet?

Well, I'll pass it along...
I have two Doctor Fate's in the works. One is full size and the other is a mini bust. We shall see who will reign supreme.

Meanwhile, I had this piece completed recently.

A new edition to my overcrowded collection. Mister Miracle based on Kevin Maguire's artwork. Randy Van Dyke did a wonderful build and paint up of this for me. These pictures are from Randy's house and his display is so organized compared to my pile as you can see if you look deeper into my postings. Kit was graciously provided by World of Waynecraft.

I love your latest pieces. I hope to see some more Kirby gods.
I so want the Forever People and Lightray...and....
More excellent work! Thanks for sharing all of these.

The ones that especially stand out for me -

Superman and Morbius, such excellent work,

and Scarecrow's facial expressions are so menacing,

Dex-Starr is great!

and Bane looks like he's reveling in Venom!
Kyle Rayner was completed by Eric for me.
