Honestly, Sketchy, I don't think you ever have drawn Rocky. Joeboy, Lash and Cru have, but I don't think he's ever gotten the Sketch treatment. No one has ever drawn Time-Teller Lad that I'm aware. If it's all right with you, I'll PM you details for both later.

I'm thinking that I should have a humanoid body --of the "average" female variety, but that my head should be the spider lily/cleome's head.

Of course, the cleome flower's shape can be easily simplified to just be dots and lines, sort of. Or I could have a human's head, but the cleome-flower shapes could form the hair. Or I could even have a semi-human form, but with plant-like limbs. Lotsa' options.

Time-Teller Lad is my alt. He's sort of Rockhopper Lad's sidekick. I'll be heading out for dinner shortly, so I'll send you the details later this evening.

Naturally, ALL of the above options shall be your regular look! There's this character in this web comic I illustrate... he's called Overthink... and his techy stuff on his uniform is constantly changing, apparently adapting to what's going on around him. It's a fun visual to depict. IDK if you've heard of the web comic.... Starsearchers. Anyway, your character can be like that. (Ahem! Plug? What plug?)

So, is your character called Cleome Girl? Lass?Queen? Spider Lily? Spider Lily Lady? All of the above?

I've never had my picture done. Lemme think about how I want it, and I'll let you know.

I'm relatively new, so neither Red Arrow or Question Kid have formal pictures. Red Arrow would be rather easy to do, but Question Lad is harder for me to decide how he would look. His personality has really grown over time, but his main influences are classic Rogue (his powers) and stuff by Ditko/Moore (his name).

I think just "cleome" is okay. If that means a "c" logo worked into the costume somewhere, so much the better.

I can't remember if you ever did an individual portrait of Lardy, Dean. I know you were the first to ever draw him as part of the original LMB portrait, of course. A few good drawings of him exist by others, so it's probably not a priority.

A few of my characters that I don't believe have ever been portrayed:

Hot Chick (see Phoebe Cates in famous scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High but with a more costumey-motif to her bikini)

Mordra (dark hair, dark eyes, pure malevalence)

Dru/Whordru (a hot female daughter of Mordru with platinum, flowing hair--had a beard while in her Whordru phase, heroic and beardless as Dru)

Clive/Virgin Lad (teenage version of Lard Lad)

Dark Lard (malevalent, darkly-clothed version of Lardy)

Dazzle Lass (beautiful, innocent blonde with modest light powers)

I think you've drawn Hummer Lass before, so a link would be spiffy.

Just some suggestions. Don't feel obligated.

Here's Dev-Em as of now. Daxamite/Durlan, so his costume is sorta Mon-El sorta Cham.

cleome in one of her many possible appearances. Costume is heavily influenced by Black Widow.

If you're offering, I'd love to see your rendition of my character. Easy reference: he looks just like my avatar. A very short, dead-end kid in a suit, with a smoke. The type of person for whom the phrase, "Saaaaay... what's the big idea?" just flows naturally.

Red Arrow (Emily Sivana) is female. Her costume would be very standard as she is a descendent of Roy Harper and Donna Troy. She has alot of super-heroes and super-villains in her bloodline so I can suggest alternatives if you can't decide which style is best.

Question Lad has classic Rogue's powerset, so don't show too much skin.Definitely keep the colors to a minimal. I feel orange, yellow, and black work best for Sebastian. I really liked X-Men Evolution as a child and the costume styling would carry over well for his personality. Time-Teller Lad

Dean, one of my longtime Alt IDs that actually just died in story is Sir Roy. If you got the chance, I'd love it if you did a portrait of him!

His basic look is that he is a Knight of Legion World, complete with armor & sword. He has nothing covering his face, however. His avatar is usually Ultra Boy with Chris Sprouse hair & a five o'clock shadow, so something along those lines. He's handsome but has a tired, battle-tesed look about him. The color scheme in my mind is a mix of brown, red & blue but there is a lot of leeway there.

Hm. I always envisioned her with black hair, I guess. And the dress is a little less costume-y than what I anticipated, but she's really growing on me more and more each time I look at it. The malevalence is there and nicely understated. Really, based on what little I gave you, it's quite remarkable! Very well done and with a ton of character to it!

I would also be interested in seeing your take on Bat-Fem if you are interested. Here\'s Joe-Boy\'s take on her. There have been two Bat-Fems, so if you decided to draw her, it could be for Bat-Fem II. Could be a different challenge for you, as I haven't seen your take on 20th century DCU motifs too often. Just a thought, though.

I would be happy to do a Lard Lad and Dark Lard image, but all the other characters from the Lardverse are overwhelming me. What should Lardy and Dark Lardy look like?

I think a question mark is in order because of Legion's use of symbols. However, think more of X-Men costumes or even the small symbols the Watchmen had rather than the huge Superman-style logo.

I really don't need a Lardy drawing...there have been plenty done with him, really. As for Dark Lard, this is the avatar I used when I was posting as Dark Lard for a while:

The source character was one called Justice who Peter David wrote for the New Universe line ages ago. Note the white hair, white featureless eyes and facial scars. Costumewise, think dark purple or maroon colors and a trenchcoat instead of a cape. This guy should look run-for-your-life dangerous, but still somehow evoke the Lardy we all know and love (?).

But please don't feel overwhelmed by my requests. You already did Mordra. I think the only other ones you committed to were possibly Bat-Fem, Dazzle Lass and Dark Lard. Feel free to drop any or all if it's too much. I'll survive!

Very nice work on both. Maybe it's a combination of the moustasche and the jawline, but the "Lance" pic just shouts "virility." I would not be at all surprised to find that he wears Old Spice.


I do have a question on Sir Roy (which might be a little awkward given Lash's comment ), but there is something in the eyebrows and the hairline that makes me have to ask: Sketchy... did you use a photo of yourself as the reference on that one?

Abin should not be in peak physical condition, he's older and never was much of a fitness buff to start with.
