It's a catchy theme song -- sounds like Shonen Knife doing a cover of "Secret Agent Man" to me.

It was a decent episode though I was surprised there was no origin -- maybe it'll be a flashback episode later?

Slade's involvement definitely makes me want to watch more. I wonder what's his gripe with the Titans? Will Batman make cameo? (or even be mentioned?)

Did anyone else do a double-take when Beast Boy had a banana peel on his head? He kinda looked like Brainy for a second...

And when he turned into a chimp, my first thought was "KOKO!"

Anybody else catch the wrestling catchphrases?

I still don't think I'll watch this. The animation is too much of a put off for me.

I think about the only way I will be able to handle this series is to try to forget the comic series completely. I mean, Starfire's characterization doesn't even fit her original appearance, and Raven to me feels like the lovechild of Wednesday Addams and Daria. And don't even get me started on Raven's "witchcraft".

I was actually doing okay until the Tower spit out the Titans. I mean, I thought for a minute I was watching Bugs Bunny or something.

Oh well. There's always new episodes of X-Men: Evolution to watch

to the tune of the old OSCAR MEYER hotdog commercials:

Ayup. That's how I was able to enjoy the first X-movie, too. You have to find a way to like it for what it is and separate it from the source. Of course, if the show does well and DC fucks over the Titans book like Marvel did the X-titles, I won't be reading OR watching any further... but I have faith in Geoff Johns, so we'll see. (But look what they did you Canary in BoP when they wanted to tie in to the TV series... )

My problem with the show is that they don't look like TEEN Titans to me! They look like toddlers!

I didn't think it was so hot. The animation wasn't to my liking. I agree TWO of Princess Cru's points: the Titans Tower spitting out the titans was terrible and Starfire's off-putting portrayal, especially with those anime stylings. But I'll give it another go, now that I know what to expect, to make sure I wasn't being too close-minded or critical (hey, i *wanna* support these kinds of shows!).

Saturdays at 9 PM. Crujeckie was right, they showed it again last night at 10, and I know they reran the first episode sometime Saturday morning. I haven't decided if I want to start taping it.

Anyone know when Fox is supposed to start re-running the show? I just want to make sure I hate it as much as I think I'm going to.
