A true legend.
I'm sure it would have blown his mind if someone had told him in 1958 that the three young characters he just drew for a one-off Superboy story were the start of something people would still be talking about over 50 years later.

RIP.
A legend. We'll be celebrating him, as we have been, for a long time to come.
His name will go on through all the Legion stories to come.
May he be drawing up a storm there in heaven. Rest in peace.
I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Plastino at NYCC last month and get him to autograph my copy of 1050 Years In The Future.

And I was able to thank him in person for co-creating the Legion because of everyone I met because of them.

And to think he had to deal with his donated artwork being auctioned off and the fact that he was lied to for all those years. Swear to God, DC.

I'm glad I got to say thank you in person.

I, too, had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Plastino, and it was - without a doubt - a highlight of my life with the Legion.

Rest in Peace, sir, and thank you for all that you gave to the comic community, fighting the good fight even to the end.

Without your contributions, there may never have even been cause to say... "Long Live the Legion!"
My condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Plastino. I also want to acknowledge the great contributions he made throughout his career. The ability to draw and draw well the diverse characters mentioned here such as Ferdinand, Nancy, the Peanuts gang, as well as Batman and the Superman Family is truly a super ability! RIP
A true loss to this art. He will be loved and remembered for a long time.
The only better tribute would be to have a Legion franchise still on the comic book shelves and not defunct. First the Legion dies, and then it's co-creator. Kind of ironic if you ask me.
More sad news from FB to post today, as Annmarie Plastino, widow of Al and the original model for Supergirl, passed away last night.
