Ok, nothing much new here, but some interesting teases at the end.

One issue I wish Waid/Kitson/DC would be better about, though - if they want the fans obsessed with OYL and Infinite Crisis to take note of the LSH series, they should really start promoting more publicly that ALL of the current LSH series has always been set OYL (+1000 years) - and may give some hints as to what the OYL DCU looks like. The inclusion of Supergirl makes it seem like LSH is failing - at least to non-LSH fans - so explaining the OYL situation may at least put Supergirl's inclusion in a different context to those who may have already written off the book.
I'll admit that this invterview was better than most but these DC 'interviews' are driving me nuts. They all boil down to "I can't tell you but I promise it'll be great"

Can we just once get something with a little meat in it? Just once? Please?

He did mention "three new members", although in a throwaway reference. Could it be? Could it really be Blok, Dawny, and Tyroc?
GARGANTUAN BOMBSHELL = Attack of the 50' Marte Allon?
Can Waid ever talk up the current version without trashing the Zero Hour reboot? That's a little tiresome. That reboot, even if it was in some ways imperfect, still did more to establish the team and its milieu with at least as much clarity as this version has.
It would be cool if this Supergirl WASN'T from the past. That she is from the 31st century. The only thing in the interview that sounded interesting is the answers that Supergirl will give to the questions...cause it seems she will be the new skinny girl guest starring everywhere.

As for...

This time, you have our full backing. Go all out and don't worry about the past. Reinvent the franchise from the ground up, as if it were being envisioned for the first time today. And it seems to have worked!
This statement makes me sad. I honestly don't think it was reinvented like being envisioned for the first time today. Man it's like good cop/bad cop. I love everything Barry says and hate everything Waid says. smile

The teenager youth movement stuff blows. And the limited human roster of early members does as well. With this type of leeway i can honestly say...is this all you got? I cannot read Waid interviews without being tasered myself...or taking blood pressure pills. (i don't take BP meds just saying)
To quote Waid:

“Which Supergirl is it? Who is she, exactly, and how did she arrive in the 31st century?” asked Waid. “When she smiles warmly and answers those questions at the end of the first issue ....she drops a GARGANTUAN bombshell that leaves the Legionnaires literally slackjawed.”

“Said bombshell is, in fact, a reverberation from an event in Infinite Crisis,” concluded Waid."

I suspect that Supergirl - who I assume is the honest-to-goodness real DCU Kara 'cause it makes zero sense to introduce another pseudo-Supergirl in this central role - acts so *WARMLY* towards the Legion because she already knows (about) them, or thinks she does.

That said, the "gargantuan bombshell" has to be a lot more than "Oh, you must be Spark", "Err, no my name is Light Lass" whackiness we've seen before in the past. Maybe something along the lines of Kara planting a big, wet kiss on Brainy, congratulating Saturn Girl on replacing Cos as leader and then asking what time Lighting Lad's funeral begins, only to be met by looks of horror.

The covers of LSH #15 and Supergirl #7 (Kandor) are clues to where this is going ... maybe.
Hmmm...I think you're on to something Tromium.

I think the bombshell is that she's already joined the Legion, only a different version of the team during IC.
Looks like Kara's part in IC is in space at the heart of the anomaly. Anything could happen, most likely she's thrown through different realities and time. I could see her getting some memories of the original Legion (when she inevitably glimpses the life and death of the first Kara Zor-El).

Kara laying a big kiss on Brainy would be funny. She'd see him as her 'boyfriend', but Brainy would be like, "I don't understand why girls tell me I'll end up with them in the future."
So, does this mean I actually have to read infinite Crisis?
No, this Legion has always occured post-Infinite Crisis, therefore we already have.
Or...Infinite Crisis may create two Earths (not a multiverse) and Supergirl may reveal that the WaK Legion is one Earth One (or Two) and that the reboot (or original pre-Crisis) Legion is on the other Earth. Thus, explaining why Waid denied this incarnation being a reboot.
Which leaves the post-boot/DnA Legion drifting in some dimensional rift ... and Shikari a loose end to be resolved.
Orrrrrr....it could bring back the multiverse. Then we would have this Legion on Earth Prime (allowing them to bring back Superboy!), the original Legion on Earth 2, The reboot Legion on Earth-S (since Thunder was a member of the Shazam legacy), the TMK Legion on Earth 3 (the Squadron Sinester's earth), and the DnA Legion on Earth 1 (since Conner was a member.
And they could have annual crossovers like the old JLA/JSA! laugh
Hmmm. That's very well thought out, VRhinolent. I only have one question: what is the Squadron Sinister, and how do they indicate that the TMK Legion lives on Earth 3?
Re: Squadron Sinister...I think Vee is refering to the Crime Syndicate (Ultraman, Superwoman, Owlman, Power Ring, and Johnny Quick II) who lived on Earth 3.

And since TMK was so dark that it should exist on a world in which the world's greatest heroes everywhere else are villains.

My wild guess on this: Supergirl reveals that she's actually Dream Girl.

(There is precedent, of course - the whole Ultra Boy / Reflecto / Superboy extravaganza, and the Live Wire / Element Lad thing more recently.)
Huh. That might actually work.

Brainy's resurection atempts could make a lot of things possible. It would explin why Nura showed up with blond hair instead of white.
