This is a reboot of an old thread I remember from around here, and since the thread starter isn't posting here anymore I thought I'd reboot it, if you will.

It goes like this: the first poster gives two Legionnaires, and the next poster recalls an instance when those two interacted. If they can't think of a particular instance, they could also give something connecting these two - something deeper than "They're both female" or "They both have white in their costumes", of course. It's kind of a walk down memory lane.

Then the poster who answered gets to post another pair of Legionnaires for the next poster to recall something about. Posters can be as nostalgic as they want to be

Kinetix

KINETIX and XS: The two gals went after Lori Morning and brought her a piece of birthday cake after Lori fled her own party (Except for every old man in the Adventure era, some people just HATE it when they get de-aged).

There was a scene with those two during the last part of the GDS, where they used their powers in combination to take out one of Darkseid's mindless minions.

Imra and Vi worked together to infiltrate an old White Triange warehouse, following Triad Neutral's beating by them. With all the powerful Legionnaires off on missions, it was up to them, XS, and Brainy to tend to the investgation and monitoring of Lu.

Quislet once busted Dream Girl out at a club dancing with some bohunk who was most assuredly not Star Boy.

Matter-Eater Lad and Dawnstar

I haven't read any issue where those two appeared side by side, but both of them were among the Legionnaires who were sent to Earth to help out against the Dominators.

Bouncing Boy and Invisible Kid were two of the eight Legionnaires still free during the Outlaw Legionnaires story, trying to rescue their comrades and wreck Universo's scheme.

Jeckie and Imra were once "captured" by their fellow Legionnaires in the last story of the Action run (which also debuted Imra's famous hot pink bikini) in a test to see if Jeckie would break down as a computer had predicted.

These two were among the Legionnaires who were held in the Super Stalag of Space.

Both Lightning Lad and Chameleon Boy were among the few Legionnaires present to induct Karate Kid, Jeckie, and others into the Legion and then deal with the subsequent sabotage by Nemesis Kid.

Along with Imra, the three quickly investigated and the amazing all-blonde team returned with Brainy in tow to the clubhouse. Silly chip-in-the head scandals. Perhaps the Royal Inquisitor wasn't so original after all?

Sun Boy was part of the Legion team who responded to the 'fireballing' incident that killed Magnetic Kid's mother and seriously injured Pol and his dad.

Chameleon Boy and Colossal Boy went undercover to infiltrate Starfinger II's criminal empire.

Two Levitz Era Legionnaires who never rejoined the V4 team.

Both were maimed during the TMK 5 Year Gap stories.

mysa and quislet accompanied Tellus on the return to Hykarius following a false-lead on the Universo-driven disappearances of heroes & science police around the galaxy

Both Heroines escaped with Superboy and Mon-el back to 20th century Smallville to elude Mordru. Here we learn of Duo Damsel's crush on Superboy and I believe that the Shady-Mon romance started here too.

Brainiac 5 and Blok went back to Smallville with Sun Boy and Invisible Kid to investigate the Time Trapper's time-tampering. They met with Superman and realized it wasn't the same person they knew.

Umbra and Cosmic Boy both lost their homeworlds' suport during the DnA run. Tasmia was replaced by Grev, while Rokk was a criminal vigilante.

Both look dashing in green! Both also were rejected from Legion membership (postboot for Xao), though Superboy later got Kid Psycho entered as a reservist.

Triad and Kid Quantum II: the two women who ran the Legion - at least administratively - in the last incarnation of the Legion series.

both have connections to a sorceress named Mysa. Preboot, Mysa was Nura's sister, while in Reboot, Mysa manipulated Zoe.

Cosmic Boy and Celeste Rockfish were part of Legion-on-the-run at the end of TMK (ironically, after a bad-frame-up of being Khund collaborators, the Legion returned to super-hero standards of masks, costumes and code-names)

Brainiac 5 and Timber Wolf

Brainy and Brin soloed together at the outset of the Quiet Darkness. Brainy later wracked his brains looking for a cure, and was even later the only one who knew Briin'd been sent back to the 1990s.

Next: Tyrok and Monstress

Both have dealt with issues of discrimination - Tyroc's people once suffered from it, while Monstress endured it as revealed in her rather poignant origin story.

Next: Bouncing Boy and Star Boy

Both Legion men were involved with Legion women who *might* not have been 100% faithful. While in a long-term relationship with Star Boy, Dream Girl flirted with everyone and was seen out & about on the Metropolis party circuit with another man. While married to Bouncing Boy, Duo Damsel was seen frolicking naked with Collosal Boy - while it may have been Yera masquerading as another Legionnaire, it was definitely implied that Lu's bodies had different tastes.

NEXT: Shadow Lass and Cosmic Boy

Both have a connection to the dark. Shadow Lass projects shadows which create darkness. Cosmic Boy was in a long term relationship with Night Girl, who's power manifest in the dark.

Mon & Condo

Both have been isolated from human contact before: Mon while he was in the Phantom Zone, and Condo was kept in a lab before Lyle brought him home.

These two are both involved with dominant women. Dragonmage with Mysa and Apparition with her mother.

Andromeda and Spider Girl

Two Legion women who carried the weight for the Legion-on-the-run stories at the end of TMK's run. Andromeda and Spider-Girl got along with everyone and were key team players, unlike almost all their teammates.

Both have been leaders of their respective teams, aside from having brothers who were also Legionnaires.

Both are from quarantined planets whose people prefer isolation (Somahtur and Durla).

Both are "seeders"; Chlorophyll Kid uses plant seeds in conjunction with his powers and Valor is the seeder of worlds.
Also, neither became active Legionnaires in their first appearances in the Legion comic. Valor/Mon held honorary statues first and Chlor was a Sub and then a reservist.

Both had the personality of being assertive and confident. Very strong personalities.

Tenzil and Chuck were kidnapped by Starfinger I along with Lightning Lad. In addition, Tenzil & Chuck were two of the few Legion men who were married at Zero Hour.

Alternate versions of both Legionnaires appeared circa End of an Era: there was the SW6 Bouncing Boy and the Blok who was a member of the evil Legion of Mordru and Glorith.

Both Gates and XS accompanied Leviathan on a mission to protect a delegate whose government leaders were targeted for assassination, only to find out she was the killer.

Lyle and Cham were very close friends in the early reboot. Unfortunately, the writers kinda forgot about this after the Emerald Vi storyline.

Spent time in the Legion Academy together, although it's hard to imagine Dawny getting too close to many back then.

There was an issue where they helped save some ambassadors/bigwigs (was it RJ Brande?) from attack by a group of missiles. Boy, Dream Girl's hand to hand skills were formidable and she had a good handle on how to effectively use Quislet's powers.

There was that time we both told Andromeda off when she was backbiting Cham. Then that time I asked her how it was like being married to Jo now that she was tangible again. Oh, and that time she ed in battle against the Blighted because she ended up attacking a Blighted me!

Wow. We're actually pretty good friends!

In the cartoon Legion, they teamed up to save Lightning Lad and build his artificial arm. One of the best moments in the often unsatisfactory S2.

Tellus and Lightning Lass

(Agree that S2 as a whole wasn't quite as good as S1. I did like that S2 featured some background Legionnaires, like Shrinking Violet, Star Boy and Dream Girl, more).

Tellus and Lightning Lass, along with Magnetic Kid, had a mission to Braal (I think). Ayla paid more attention to Pol, though. And the three of them were sometimes regarded as "replacement" Legionnaires for the 3 founders because of their similar powers.

Oops, forgot to name a pair of Legionnaires.

Lightning Lad/Live Wire and Shrinking Violet

Both were impersonated by other people who later became Legionnaires themselves, Garth by Ayla and Vi by Yera.

Timber Wolf and Karate Kid

They were close enough that Karate Kid named Timber Wolf his heir and beneficiary... and also set a task for him in his will.

Phantom Girl/Apparition and Element Lad

Tinya and Jan both had black & white costumes in the reboot. They also were two of the Legionnaires who stopped Tyr's mobile warworld from merrily rampaging through the universe back in the 80s!

When Tenzil asked Vi out on a date, it was Projectra who helped Violet dress up and who subbed for her on Monitor Duty! I always thought it was cool that the Princess wasn't at all stuck-up or snobbish or a mean girl.

Gates and Brainiac 5

Oh, where do I begin? They used to snipe at each other all the time (Brainy saying Gates was wasting his intelligence on "mere opinions", with Gates shooting back - is that your opinion?)

And all that bickering during the Anomaly investigation, yeesh! Space is supposed to be silent.

Then they became the best of friends after that, with Gates visiting Brainy all the time. They kept heaping platitudes on each other. Strange, but sweet.

They, along with Phantom Girl, Superboy and newcomer Invisible Kid II, were the first Legionnaires to encounter Darkseid's Servants of Darkness.
