Googlefight!

Kind of self explanatory. It might come in handy for resolving some long term Legion World feuds such as Pie vs.Cake

Well it does just check for the word not the context. "Pie" probably wins because of all the anti-pie screeds out there.

Yeah, and since Lardy's dead, no one will be able to keep that egomaniacal Cobalt in check! shocked
Posted By: Ghost of Numf El Re: Googlefight - 10/23/07 01:45 PM
We could gang up and scare the bejasus out of him! But maybe it's just a bit too close to Halloween for us to get away with that. Too many scary things around already.

Hey, Lardy, sorry to hear that you're dead too.
I don't suppose that you took a packet of cigarettes and a lighter with you?
That's one of the great things about being dead - you can smoke as much as you want. If you can get your hands on any cigarettes. (I keep wanting to call them fags, but that means something else over at the other side of the pond, doesn't it?)
So, anyone else that's planning to die off, remember to get stocked up on the smokes before you head on over.

Anyway, sorry, I seem to have got a bit off topic.....

What's the difference between pie and cake anyway?
They're totally different over here (pies are savoury / meat based ), but I thought that they were the same thing over there. Or am I missing some subtle humour ?

There are meat pies here too. Shepard's pie, chicken pot pie, etc. But there are also fruit filled pies for desserts. Squash pie and pumpkin pie are favorites at this time of year. And apple pie is all American. Other popular pies are blueberry, cherry, chocolate, and pecan

Cake is the mixture of flour, sugar, & eggs. Usually iced with frosting (or frosted with icing)

I think they call the sugary pies "tarts" over there.

Over here, tarts are a subtype of pie which are generally sized as an individual portion. Except savoury pies (like meat pies) that are sized for individuals, which are still called pies.
Posted By: Pov Re: Googlefight - 10/24/07 04:11 AM
down here, tarts are hookers. angel
Posted By: Tamper Lad Re: Googlefight - 10/24/07 04:30 AM
And "Cake Eater" (Mangiacake) is a derogatory term for WASPy folks used by those of Italian roots.

Now to review let's use all our new vocabulary in a conversation.

Fredo: Yo Gino, where you been?

Gino: I was at the diner with Haley.

Fredo: No say you aren't going out with that CAKE-EATING TART?

Gino: Nah, we were just waiting for you to bring the TORTIERRES and blueberry TARTS and Birthday CAKE so we could set up for the party.

Fredo: Cool that means I can ask her out later because I think she's as sweet as PIE.
