I've got one reserved at my CBS. They assured me a copy of both covers was in my box!

mine either, and I was there early. If we got any, they all went to reserves (can't blame them).

The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

Eh. I wouldn't have broken my neck in a scramble for either cover. Even the dreaded double-ring thing didn't look all that bad in person.

I wasn't sold on the JIm Lee variant (despite what I feel is a FANTASTIC job on the Legion cruiser) until I saw which LSH logo they used...!! Now I **WANT**, majorly.

I posted my request to my CBS's Facebook page. We'll see what happens.

Rest in Peace, Titan (which is NOT a planet, it is a Satelite of Saturn). You can see the real picture of Titan in the following link:

http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/photos/

another one -

http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/photos/imagedetails/index.cfm?imageId=3973

They showed the picture of lakes, rivers, ICE volcanoes, etc. pretty cool!!! go to click on: About Saturn & its moons and then click on Titan - there are zillions of pictures on Titan. Nope we cannot inhabitate on Titan - too Cold to live.

I picked up my pre-ordered copy Wednesday. Loved the Imra picture (my favourite look for her ... goes back to my pre-pubescent days. LOL).
That 70s logo was an excellent surprise too!
I put myself down for the next 3 variants for issues #2, 3 and 4. Can't wait to see what they look like and who they feature.

I went ahead and paid the extra buck. I wasn't going to, but I just don't like the regular cover. But I like future covers, so I'll have to decide if I want the whole set of 6. I guess it'll depend on how the others look.

When I opened my box of comics and saw the old '70s logo, the kid in me got excited. Yay, the Legion is back!

The Jim Lee variant is nice, but putting Saturn Girl in that costume with the long hair makes no sense storywise. Did they use the retro logo just to justify the retro costume and ship? Why didn't they just give Jim a copy of Saturn Girl's current costume for a reference?

There's going to be 6 variant covers, Jim, that join together and portray a member from each decade.

So there's five more from the 50's, 60's, 80's, 90's & 00's.

The variants don't have anything to do with the storyline, but are an over-arching theme.

Since Imra got the 70s, we won't be seeing Jim Lee's version of Rokk's bustier, unfortunately.
But Jim Lee's version of 50s Rokk wearing the fishbowl should be cool!

I think it'll more likely be XS.

My guesses are:

50's: Cosmic Boy
60's: Lightning Lad
80's: Sensor Girl
90's: XS
00's: Brainiac 5

My wish list would be comprised of:

Brainiac 5 from the 50's
Lightning Lad from the 60's
Sensor Girl from the 80's (complete with "Dynasty"-esque shoulder pads)
Gates from the 90's
and
Dawnstar from the 00's

I know Cosmic Boy will probably beat out one of these for sure, but that would be boring for me. His past looks were just too ho-hum (well except for the fish bowl helmet ... that one rocked!).
