They should just quit the humans, period. Trust me, I've given this a lot of thought.

Not only did I knit Johnny pants, I also knitted him a scarf/sweater/shrug/bellyshirt! How did Johnny feel about my gift? Even though I couldn't understand anything he was saying, I think he was thrilled!
