My avatar looks a bit washed out this morning! Did you guys tweak the color resolution of avatar images?
I'm not worried about it either way, just curious!

I believe my partner in crime may not have liked the image I uploaded without checking the size. It appears to have had the colors reduced. I've uploaded another copy as a jpeg with some better color than now and a lot smaller in size than the original. Give it a try and if you like it, I'll get rid of the gif version.

Just out of curiousity, what are the maximum specs that you guys are using for avatars? If I decide to make a new one someday, I want to make sure I do it right

I was thinking that the 60 x 60 was a good setting, as I mentioned before. But I was okay with upping the size to no more than 2KB. If you are okay with that then we can put it in writing for the rest of the gang. Also, when you have a second Gary, we need to discuss guidelines on submitting Avatars and setting up an e-mail for them. Plus we have some duplicate ones right now of the mission monitor symbols and we should clean that up. Just drop me a line when you can.

He's been at this longer than I, so who am I to question his wisdom. No prob. I just have trouble sometimes getting them below 1kb without really losing the quality quite a bit. Perhaps I'm just not going about it in the right way.
