Year One: LardLad's Term
Part V: Classic LMB Threads

There were many threads throughout the LMB's history, although many are still looked back on today with great nostalgia. Here are some of the greatest from Year One:

Guess Who? begun by Loser Lad, this game became *the* classic off-topic LMB game. It has become a tradition to this day to start and continue this game in every LMB forum.

Ask Space Tart after joining the LMB and becoming a 'real poster', Space Tart began her own 'Ask Space Tart' column to address the problems LMBers might have with their love lives. At first, all we knew about her was that her name was Fiona Orange, although it became clear that she was an alternate ID of another poster. Eventually, in this thread, it was revealed that Space Tart was MLLASH! From then on, she remained a member of the LMB, as the first alternate ID.

Ask MLLASH With it common knowledge that MLLASH was Space Tart, Cobalt Kid started another thread called "Ask MLLASH" for him to continue answering questions for LMBers about their love lives. This has become a long-standing tradition of the LMB ever since, and similar threads have been started on the UBB forum, the Phineas Forum and now here at Legion World. Often, other threads have been started centering on another LMBer or poster, mimicking this old mainstay.

Dean Lee's Hair Thread A longtime thread on the L* Board, Dean Lee used to discuss the various Legionnaires hair styles over time. This was a much beloved thread by the LMB, and the hair styles of celebrities, LMB characters and other people were also topics often discussed.

Year One: LardLad's Term
Part VI: Even More Adventures and Anecdotes of Year One under LardLad's Term

Farewell to a Friend The first major LMBer leaves the fold, as Cobalt Kid is forced to resign from the LMB. Dark Conan and the Pious One, who have some strange sort of connection to Cobalt Kid, force him to leave the LMB and join them on a journey, to discover the source of his powers. Space Tart is heart-broken, and his close friends, such as LardLad and Lash Lad, are sad to see their friend leave. Unfortunately for Cobalt, he learns he was duped, and is captured by the Pious One and Dark Conan, who turn out to be completely evil. note- the true story of this can be found in " The Tale of Cobalt & Spacey " and " The Tale of Dr. Albert Hoffman "

SMASHFACE vs. Shark Lad in an all-out final confrontation, Shark Lad battles SMASHFACE, as Shady is caught in the middle. In the end, SMASHFACE reveals his true colors, and leaves the LMB before he can be kicked out.

The LMB Summer Christmas Special Lucien Lad, feeling nostalgic for Christmas in the summer time, uses his nostalgia powers to make it Christmas, and the LMB enjoy a huge Christmas bash. Unfortunately, the Time Mouse Trapper attacks, and it's up to the LMB and Santa Claus to stop him. Santa Claus becomes an honorary LMBer, and is revealed to be a pagan, a wizard and a gay man. Real History Note- this really did happen, although Santa Claus joining the LMB has been fitted in retroactively in the Ongoing Tag Team Thread

The End of the Legion of Message Board Super-Pets The LMB Super-Pets go on their final mission, as they must take down a brain-washed Shark Lad and Lumber Fox, who keep trying to eat them alive. Although they defeat them and Salad Tosser Lord (who was controlling them), they decide to break up. Only Piddlin' Pup, Blok the Rock and Pro-D stay on as LMB Mascots.

Psychotic Beaver, sister of Shark Lad! The LMB are attacked by Psychotic Beaver, who is introduced to be the sister of Shark Lad! Twice as carnivorous and twice as ruthless, Psychotic Beaver attempts to destroy Shark Lad and the LMB. Strangely, she is attracted to Loser Lad. Although she is unsuccessful, she stays around the LMB for some time, both interacting with them normally and then attacking them.

-Mighty Fanboy Lad becomes one of the most prominent posters in the LMB. It cannot be stressed how much he was during the end of year one and the beginning of year two.

Who is the Son of the Eagle? In possibly the most ultimate story of their careers, the LMB meet a traveler from the distant past, a hero named Son of the Eagle. However, they are soon amazed to learn that this is indeed Engine Joe, the great hero who helped inspire the formation of the LMB itself! In a great time of celebration, Engine Joe spends a few days with the LMB and lets them know he approves of what they are doing, and passes on the torch. He then goes back to his own time. Real History Note- this was a period where Engine Joe returned briefly as Son of the Eagle and was SHOCKED to see what the L* forum had become. He gave us a hearty thumbs up and told us to carry on.

The Death of Tsarin Kid In the most tragic of all tales, the LMB fight against their ultimate foes, the Time Mouse Trapper and Whordru, together for the first time. Every LMBer on the roster is called upon to deal with both situations, although it looks like the odds are stacked too high against them. Tsarin Kid then makes the ultimate sacrifice to send them both to the end of time to be stuck there waging war against one another, although in doing so, he gives up his life.

Picking up the Pieces: the End of Year One With two momentous events, the Death of Tsarin Kid and Engine Joe's seal of approval, the LMB lay their friend to rest and now turn to the new question: where do we go from here? With the new leadership elections on the horizon, the LMB enter their second year of existence, preparing to answer these new questions...

Year One: LardLad's Term
Part VII: Year One, an Overview

It should be remembered that the end of year one in continuity is really the end of about the first five to six months of the LMB's existence. The amount of stories and things happening during this period were so dense and so much, that this is the easiest way of splitting it apart chronologically.

This much can be said for this period: that by the end of LardLad's term as leader, the LMB was a united group of posters that had become good friends and intended to stick around each other for the foreseeable future. The small hobby of message board posting took on a whole new life of its own, as long distance friendships arose, and the casualness of the internet became more and more foreign. The LMB was here to stay, and its future, in both real life and continuity, seemed to be vast and something to look forward to.

This period, as I will get to next, also is a period of expansion, but more importantly, consolidation. Although the LMB had vast numbers early on, many of the posters who posted very little began to slip away and stop posting as much, while a solid group of about twenty to thirty posters became the prominent mainstays of the LMB. This allowed it to become a more tight-nit group, and then expand in a new way: a personally welcoming way that did away with internet formalities and acted like a true group of close friends.

Whatever the LMB may have started as, it was certainly something by this point. Newcru created the LMB Yahoo group, and suddenly there was another website specifically for the LMB that encouraged the posting of artwork and stories, discussion with each other and the receiving emails from each other. The LMB was here to stay, and the future was just over the horizon. More friends were still to come.

Year Two: Lash Lad’s Term
Part I: Consolidation and Expansion

Consolidation:
Real History: With the end of LardLad's term as leader, things were changing throughout the LMB. A new leader was about to be elected, and Newcru/Crusader had created the LMB Yahoo Group. While many posters had become LMB mainstays, a significant amount of posters began posting less, and eventually drifted away from the group, as their hobby of message board posting came to an end. These posters will be listed in the "In continuity" section, although it should be noted that they all left mainly because they just stopped posting that much, not for the ‘in continuity’ reasons listed.

In continuity:

After the death of Tsarin Kid and the thumbs up from Engine Joe, it became apparent that things were changing and the LMB was moving on. With a new leader being elected, it became the time to decide if a life as an LMBer was what the members wanted. Most of the LMBers stayed on, although a significant amount left the team to pursue other responsibilities. They were:

Armsfalloff Boy: who left the team after his wife gave birth to a baby son. Having more important responsibilities as a father, Armsfalloff Boy said farewell to the LMB.

Kbern Kid: With Gonorrhea Gary cured of his disease, Kbern Kid decided to retire from the LMB and settle down with Gary to live happily ever after.

Lumber Fox Lumber Fox left the LMB to pursue his dreams of exploring the galaxy, although he promised to one day return.

Ultra Jo: who statistical skills got him a job for Earthgov as a mathematician.

Carggaphile

Igee the Mighty

JWB Boy: JWB Boy had terrible money trouble, despite his celebrity. It was Loser Lad who suggested a great job opportunity to him, and JWB Boy sadly left the LMB to go to work full-time and support his fifteen brothers and sisters and nineteen cousins.

Lurker Lad who left the LMB, but may still be lurking to this day...

Lev Lad

Goon Boy who power of super-forgetfulness became so potent, that one day he forgot what the LMB was and that he was a LMBer. Waving goodbye to the strangers who looked so fondly at him, he left the LMB.

Reserve Members of the LMB: Since once you become a LMBer, you are an LMBer for life, every member of the LMB (that has not been dishonorably discharged) is moved to reserve status. This status means that they receive a distress call in times of dire emergency and they can come and rejoin the LMB at any time they choose.

Expansion: the new school
Although many LMBers had left the fold, there was a new group of recruits that came in roughly around the same time. Since they joined so soon after one another, and were all major posters for a long time, they were dubbed "the New School of the LMB".

Faraway Lad who drinking and witty humor fit in with the LMB like few others.

Kid Therod another major poster, who was would do anything for the LMB, which he once proved in a battle with the Emerald Ass of Ekron.

Kid Psychout who was known for his drinking, swearing, fighting and carrying a baseball bat into battle.

Foxy Roxy An alt ID inspired by Space Tart's unapologetic willingness to be a public personality, Foxy Roxy was a ferocious, but also sweet heroine who joined the LMB.

Lexbose Another female alt ID inspired by Space Tart, and then Foxy Roxy, Lexbose joined the LMB and fought by their side with passion and courage.

other members
Other members joined the LMBP for a short period of time. Although they were not major posters, they were very welcome and brought even more energy and creativity to the LMB. They were:

Cookie Monstress whose stay with the LMB was brief.

ShadowFox who was more of a lurker than a poster, but would join in on LMB shenagans occasionally.

Tao Damsel whose stay with the LMB was also brief.

Chips Ahoy Boy who only stayed briefly for a period. He was a close friend of Mighty Fanboy Lad.

Year Two: Lash Lad’s Term
Part II: The new leadership

Real History: As LardLad's term came to an end, the second LMB election occurred. More members were nominated this time, and MLLASH was elected the second LMB leader. LardLad, although ineligible to be leader, was elected as deputy for Lash's term, showing just how much influence he had during those early days. The results were:

MLLASH: 5 Votes
LARDLAD: 4 Votes
SHADOWPLAY IN CANDLELIGHT LASS: 3 Votes
LOSER LAD: 2 Votes
NEWCRU KING: 2 Votes
PAUL MACNEIL / LOOKS THAT KILL LAD: 2 Votes
BEAGLE BOY: 2 Votes
THE MIGHTY FANBOY MAN LAD: 2 Votes

TOTAL VOTES: 22

In continuity: As LardLad's term came to an end, the next LMB elections were held, and Lash Lad was elected the second LMB leader. LardLad was named deputy leader for this term. With the new leadership in place, the regrouped LMB looked forward to a bold new direction.

Here is the portrait, drawn by (Dean Lee aka Sketh Lad) of the prominent posters during this transition era. It should give anyone curious a good idea of who was who during the end of year one, beginning of year two:

[Linked Image]

Note- since then, Newcru King had been retconned to be Crusader and Bellbookcandle Kid has been retconned to be Seahorse

Year Two: Lash Lad’s Term
Part III: the LMBP Yahoo Group

While the LMB’s main home during these early days was the Legionnaires Board on the DCMBs (aka the L* Board), a new home was created by Newcru as a gift to the LMB. Over the years, it would grow into our home base and place to escape to, when the LMB was forced to take flight.

Truly created during Lard Lad’s term as leader, the Yahoo Group was in full force by MLLASH’s term as leader. The transition of leadership to MLLASH, the trends consolidation and expansion, and the creation of the Yahoo Group all roughly coincide at a specific period in time. This period marks the moment when the LMB stopped being just a group of friends loosely associated on one specific message board, but became more of a force and an active group that could actually continue to exist if various members left and joined over the years. Thus, in a sense, it became a force.

And with the creation of the Yahoo Group, that force had a home, and therefore something further to legitimize its creation. It cannot be stressed how important the Yahoo Group has been over the years, and how essential it was to maintaining the LMB’s existence. Because of it, LMBers began to interact through email, posting their artwork and a variety of other functions not normally taken advantage of or offered on the old DCMBs.

Part IV: the Massive Explosion of Alt IDs

Real History: around this period, the L* Board exploded with a plethora of alt IDs. After Space Tart became a permanent addition to the LMB, and then Psychotic Beaver (Shark Lad), Dark Conan (Cobalt Kid) and the Pious One (Cobalt Kid) began hanging around the L* Board, everyone began creating alternate ID's to add to LMB lore. While only a few actually joined the LMB, many became supporting characters and/or enemies of the LMB.

In continuity: After Space Tart became a member of the LMB, the alternate ID community, traditionally kept out of the world's spotlight, became more aware of how they were being held back. Inspired by her openness about being an alt ID, two other female alt ID's, Foxy Roxy and Lexbose, also joined the LMB. Soon, many alternate ID's were out in public, living their lives, and often interacting with the LMB.

Here are some examples:

Foxy Roxy the spunky young female LMBer became a mainstay of the LMB throughout it's second year. note- this was an alternate ID of Crusader

Lexbose another female alt ID to join the LMB and be a major member for some time. note- this was an alt ID of Beagle Boy

Time Mouse Trapper - the Time Mouse Trapper may have been an alt ID, and he began interacting with the LMB on a more regular basis, often not just as a villian. note- this was an alternate ID of Seahorse

Nura Nal's Barrette note- an alt ID of Lash Lad

HUGEMANBREASTS this WWMB poster and enemy of the LMB began posting regularly also. Note- this was an alternate ID of LardLad

Saturn Girl's Boobs another WWMB that began posting regularly. note- this was an alt ID of Lash Lad

Brainiac 69 yet another WWMB that posted regularly. note this was an alt of Loser Lad

Britney Spears who also began posting with the LMB and hitting on LMBers. note this was an alt ID of Looks that Kill Lad

Jo Nah's Jock note- alt ID of Loser Lad

Studley Woodchuck brother to Shark Lad and Pschotic Beaver note- alt ID of Shark Lad

Silicon Sandra a very well endowed young lady who joined the LMB on a series of adventures.

Captain Dork who may or may not have been an alt ID after all... note- believed to have been an alt ID of Mightyfanboy Lad

Alt ID of Shark Lad note- after it seemed like Shark Lad had more Id's than any other, Loser Lad created the 'Alt ID of Shark Lad', and even had Lash Lad and LardLad posting as him as a joke.

There were many other alternate ID's that have been lost to the annals of time. Most likely, they were Lash Lad.

Year Two: Lash Lad’s Term
Part V: Adventures and Anecdotes during Lash Lad's Term

The Evil known as the Retros! The Retros, who would one day fight the LMB in their five years later continuity, attack the LMB for the first time. New leader Lash Lad assembles Seahorse, Shark Lad, Crusader and new recruits Faraway Lad, Foxy Roxy and Kid Therod for the battle against Beatnik Belly Dancer Boy, Hippie Hula Girl, Freaky Flapper Chick, the Mod Man, and Leave it to Beaver Larry

Mighty Fanboy Lad alone against Salad Tosser Lord! with Beagle Boy, Loser Lad, Space Tart and Looks that Kill Lad captured by Salad Tosser Lad, Mighty Fanboy Lad has to go it alone against the evil scientist. With special help from Lexbose and Kid Psychout, he emerges victorious.

Once more...BJ Boy and Hummer Lass! BJ Boy and Hummer Lass return for a special story, as they attack the LMB one more time, as Dev-Em, LardLad, Hardshell the Turtle Boy, Lucien Lad, Midnight Son and Rhino are attacked. In the end, we learn that they had decided to reform their ways and work for the side of good, but wanted to have one more go at it with the LMB for old time’s sake. Hummer Lass' feelings for LardLad really shine through and her relationship with the LMB is still left in the air, as BJ Boy starts a new business that will one day make him millions.

Introducing Ample Man The newest member of the LMB joins up, as Ample Man introduces himself and is quickly inducted. In his first mission, he saves Earth from a Khundian invasion, beginning the long-time animosity between the Khunds and the LMB.

The Return of MiddleFinger! The LMB finds itself fighting two Middlefingers, one being Lash's boyfriend Large Handsome and the other Lash himself! The LMB is forced to split into two teams and try and figure out who was the real Middlefinger! Loser Lad, Princess Crujectra, Dev-Em, Faraway Lad and Shark Lad ended up battling Lash, while LardLad, Kid Therod, Kid Psychout, Lucien Lad and Ample Man fought the real Middlefinger! Space Tart, Mightfanboy Lad and Seahorse find and destroy the bomb that Middlefinger had been hidden in the statue of Liberty. Naturally, it was in her middle-finger.

-After joining the team, Ample Man becomes another 'new schooler', and fits in just as easily as the rest. He also goes by the name "Bipolar Boy"

The Tumbleweed Tale! a lazy, drunken LMB is shocked to see a cadre of tumbleweeds attacking LMB HQ, and investigate the tale! Soon, they learn that Dessert Rose, a woman who Cobalt Kid had a fling with on his journeys has come to collect Cobalt Kid. A fight between Space Tart and Dessert Rose ensues, as the LMB begin searching for the answer to "Who is the father of Dessert Rose's baby?", only to come face to face with...the Anti-Moderator! The LMB thwart the Anti-Moderator, although they never learn the secret to Dessert Rose's baby's mystery father... Originally a tag team thread titled "A Creative Way to restart a kind of dying message board"

-Grey Birdboy leaves the team for a period of time. Looking to enjoy a quiet journey through space and get away from the day to day craziness of the LMB, he promises he'll return one day.

-There is an even greater increase in flirting during this period.

-With Cobalt Kid gone, Space Tart looks to Mighty Fanboy Lad, and new comers Kid Psychout and Faraway Lad for comfort.

-Dev-Em aka Anchor Boy, became a more prominent member during this time period.

Space Tart and Hummer Lass Go Out on the Town Space Tart and Hummer Lass, once arch-nemesis, put the past behind them and go out on the town in a night that puts the media in a frenzy. Both frustrated over their relationships with Cobalt Kid and LardLad, they look to alternate ways of having a good time. Sketch Lad helps them prepare for the festivities with brand new outfits. This Bit of continuity was inspired by a drawing by Dean Lee of Space Tart and Hummer Lass.

Attack of the Hyena a new villain launches a vengeful attack on the LMB, as a drunken villain known as the Hyena attacks Shady. Dev-Em, Seahorse, Crusader, Beagle Boy Lash Lad and others quickly come to her rescue in a very personnel and hard-fought battle.

The Return of Cobalt Kid In a momentous occasion, former founder Cobalt Kid rejoins his old teammates and comes back to the LMB. Although he is vague on the details of what happened, it's obvious that he's very traumatized. He quickly fits back in with his friends, although his relationship with Space Tart remains on an up and down basis.

-From this point on, throughout year two, Cobalt Kid and Space Tart continue to date, although neither is monogamous. This leads to many bitter fights and hurtful things, although they also have many loving times. Space Tart is unaware, however, that Cobalt Kid has suffered severe trauma at the hands of the Pious One and Dark Conan, which is the root of all his trouble.

-Ding Boy joins the LMB and becomes an active member on the roster.

Among us is a Lurker! The LMB receive a new member as Galahadran aka Lurker Lad II reveals himself to be in their presence and joins up.

-Around the end of Lash Lad's term as leader, Hardshell the Turtle Boy ends his active status as an LMBer, and becomes a reserve member.

At the LMB Tryouts various young heroes try out at for a position as LMBers, after Lashwire ( see the section dealing with this change ) makes the general call that the LMB is accepting new members. Super Lad Kid is accepted as the newest member of the LMB. Other applicants that are rejected make their first appearances, and would later go on to create the SSOFVV, including Behind You Boy, Snowman Lad and many others. (see the Onevisions section during Loser Lad's term ). note- this was originally a tag thread entitled "At the LMB Tryouts"

Year Two: Lash Lad’s Term
Part VI: A Breeding Ground for Creativity

Real History: Around the time that Lash's term began, the LMB saw an increase in creativity that completely blew everyone out of the water. It seemed that every single day saw the production of more artwork, stories, tag team stories and an excellent flow of ideas. With the LMB Yahoo website, there was now a forum to host all of the artwork and stories, and the LMB took full advantage of it.

Artwork: the LMB had many premier artists in the beginning, and has ever since. Dean Lee, Crusader, Lucien Lad, Mighty Fanboy Lad and others produced a plethora of artwork, both Legion related and LMB related. In addition, many other LMBers like Loser Lad were able to create excellent photo-manipulations as well.

Onevisions: The increase in stories and ideas led to the creation of a whole new style of fanfic writing in the L* forum. Created by LardLad, 'Onevisions' were a form of writing where one thread would be dedicated to the author and would let him tell his story, so that people held their comments back until the story was over (so there was no break in the posts). These stories would then often be collected at the Yahoo Websites.

Tag Team Threads: these continued to be a LMB tradition, although there was a decrease in tag threads during this time to make way for the huge explosion of Onevisions.

A Creator Joins the Fold It was during this period that a real, bonafide Legion creator took notice of the LMB and joined the fold. At first coming into contact with LMBers on another Yahoo Group, Legionpics, Steve Lightle was encouraged by Loser Lad and Sketch Lad to check out the LMB Yahoo Group and join up. He did, and became the LMBer Graphics Lad (although technically, he would be honorary in continuity, since using creators in LMB fan fiction has always seemed to be taboo). LMBer Mightyfanboy Lad summed up our enthusiasm best, saying "Wow...holy shit...steve lightle...can't type...heart racing...need lemonade..."

This new level of creativity was a surprise to even those that were doing the creating, and this grand new tradition became an important part of being part of the LMB, as creators wrote stories, drew artwork or just sat back and enjoyed.

Part VII: The Earliest Onevisions and Stories

These are some of the early Onevisions that chronicled the adventures of the LMB. They fit roughly into this period of LMB Continuity.

Inferno: As a blazing inferno threatens to consume a large portion of Metropolis and harm the local residents, LMBers Mighty Fanboy Lad, Crusader, Beagle Boy, Cobalt Kid, Foxy Roxy, Shadowplay in Candlelight Lass and Lash Lad come to the rescue. note- this was originally a Onevision by Crusader/Newcru

Hummer Lass: Intervention note- this story takes place after the 5 Years Later continuity, and will be discussed there. It was originally a Onevision written by LardLad

Part VIII: The Reboot Reality of the LMB!

Real History: Despite constant stories, artwork and general mayhem, the LMB became accustomed to fast paced craziness on the L* Boards and never stopped running with the ball at a moment’s notice. An excellent example is the first ‘Reboot’ of the LMB, occurring when the DCMBs went down for about a full week, denying the LMB access to their forum. Although the Yahoo Group and other places acted as a place for the LMB to hang out with one another, most LMBers desired to have their real ‘home’ back.

When the DCMB’s finally came back, the sense of boredom of the last week exploded into mayhem that caught on quick, as various LMBers adopted and registered new ‘reboot’ personas of their characters. Some of these were:

Princess Crujectra (Newcru/Crusader)
Lashwire (Lash Lad)
Furball (Dev-Em, although this was unknown for some time)
Loser Snake (Loser Lad)
Lone Shark (Shark Lad)
*There was also a few others [if you can remember, please tell me!]

This lasted for about a week, before people reassumed their previous identities, ‘switching back’ to LMB reality. However, a lot of LMBers enjoyed their new personas so much that they became new alt Ids for them. Thus, Princess Crujectra and Furball became new members of the LMB and Lash adopted the Lashwire moniker for sometime.

This is also the period where Newcru retroactively changed Newcru King's powers (later retconned into Crusader) from sanny-fresh powers to telepathy and telekinesis, and began developing the history of Crusader and Princess Crujectra.

In Continuity:

The Treacherous Trick of the Time Mouse Trapper!

Eventually sick of losing consistently to the LMB, the Time Mouse Trapper sneakily attacks the LMB by going to a point in time to alter reality and change the course of history so the LMB never was. However, he is shocked to find that the LMB still exist in this reality although in a very different form.

Under the leadership of Lashwire, the LMB eventually organize and attack the Time Mouse Trapper. Lucien Lad, using his nostalgia power and strange connection to the Trapper is able to revert reality back to the way it was, although the second parallel universe is destroyed in the process. The Trapper, completely drained of power after using so much of it, realizes that he will never have the ability to alter reality like that again, less he destroys himself.

Once back home, the LMB still retain those memories. Crusader, somewhat amused by his sister taking his place in that reality, calls his sister Princess Crujectra and asks her if she would be interested in joining the LMB. Princess Crujectra accepts, and becomes the newest member!

Dev-Em also recognizes that the sentient Furball, who was in the alternate reality, also has a counter-part in the true LMB reality, and he finds the loveable loner (who he has a secret past with in one of his many secret espionage Earth-gov missions), and offers him membership. Furball accepts, although with some trepidation.

Further, Lash Lad enjoys the change of name to Lashwire for a time and decides to stick with it for the foreseeable future, so that ‘Lashwire ’ is now commander of the LMB.

Year Two: Lash Lad’s Term
Part IX: The Leadership Elections and Scandals

Real History: As Lashwire's term as leader came to an end, it became time to elect the next leader and deputy leader of the LMB. This time, however, a grand new tradition began of active campaigning, mud-slinging and all around mayhem during the nomination and election periods. Pure craziness ensued, and it became tradition for posters to scandalize potential candidates for leader.

The LMBP Election Scandal!

At the end of the election, the new leaders were chosen to be Loser Lad as LMB Leader and Newcru (Crusader in Continuity) as Deputy Leader. The results were:

LOSER LAD: 7 Votes
NEWCRU KING: 6 Votes
SHADOWPLAY IN CANDLELIGHT LASS: 2 Votes
COBALT KID: 1 Vote
KID THEROD: 1 Vote
LARDLAD: 1 Vote

TOTAL VOTES: 18

In Continuity

The term of Lashwire and LardLad came to an end, and the new elections began. The LMB Enquirer began as a newspaper chronically the lives of LMBers, and produced destructive commentary on the potential future leaders of the LMB. Also, an alt ID known as The Election Tyrant began his attempts to rig the elections in a way that would benefit his own chaotic agenda. [post link here to LMB Election Scandal thread]

No candidate was safe from ridicule, and even LMBers that were not running, such as Shark Lad, were pulled into the mud-slinging that ensued.

Eventually, the ballots were cast, and Loser Lad and Crusader were elected LMB Leader and Deputy Leader respectively.

Part X: The LMB under Lash Lad

By the end of Lash Lad's term as leader, after a variety of LMBers had come and gone, the LMB had as close to having a set roster as it would ever have. Throughout the rest of this timeline, I will continue to post the rosters at the moment that each leader's term came to an end (a natural transition period), to keep better track of when various members of the LMB have come and gone. Always remember though, that once an LMBer, a member is always a LMBer.

Here is the LMB roster at the exact time that Lash's term as leader came to an end:

Lashwire (leader)
LardLad (deputy leader)

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part I: Mission: Save a Forum

Real History: Firmly believing that the LMB existed for reasons other than goofing around and writing stories, the LMB continued to try to tighten the fan community of the Legion of Superheroes, as well as spread interest of their favorite super-hero team to people who had never read a Legion story before.

This 'real mission' of the LMB led them to become aware of the existence of another Legion forum, on the Comic Book Resources website, that was receiving virtually no posts and would probably soon be deleted. Fearing that this was not good for Legion fandom in general, especially since fears were rampant of the series getting cancelled and restarted as a mini-series (circa the time of Legion Lost), the LMB decided to attempt to save the forum by creating a tremendous amount of activity there. The goal was to show that Legion fandom was strong and pique interest in the new series, by making the suddenly bloated forum be noticed by other people.

Loser Lad led the charge, and the LMB set out to post in that forum with a minimum of a few posts a day from each LMBer. The forum exploded, and within a few days, received a stay of execution. The LMB, therefore, saved a forum.

Sadly, Comic Book Resources would get rid of all their forums eventually, including the one that was saved. However, it truly felt at the time that the LMB had done something good for Legion fandom and really saved a forum for Legion fans.

Although they met a variety of new people at the CBR forum, one new poster in particular became close friends with the LMB named Dedman. Dedman continued to post with the LMB, and joined the team, coming to the L* forum and Yahoo Group, and becoming a prominent LMBer for some time.

In Continuity:

To Save a Planet... On learning that a planet is on the verge of dying from lack of UP support, Loser Lad (in his first mission as LMB Leader) goes against UP protocol and orders the LMB to rush in and save the planet. In a heart-breaking story, the LMB finally are able to save the planet and ensure its continued existence. In addition, they meet Dedman, a native there who is impressed with what they've done (after struggling for this for so long). Dedman decides to join the LMB and returns with them to their HQ, assuming the codename "Cannon-Fodder Kid", since he has the ability to be resurrected after dying.

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part II: Adventures and Anecdotes during Loser Lad's Term

LMB, Meet Globe Girl! The LMB are introduced to newcomer Globe Girl, who seemingly attacks the LMBers LardLad, Cobalt Kid, Faraway Lad, Loser Lad and Kid Therod, although it is soon revealed that she was just trying to impress them to join the team. However, a lingering mystery ensues, as it appears that Sketch Lad has a dark secret that relates to Globe Girl...

-Cobalt Kid continues to appear less frequently throughout Loser Lad's term, and his relationship with Space Tart grows increasingly rocky. She continues to look for flings with Kid Psychout, Faraway Lad and other strait male LMBers, while he turns to a variety of young ladies, such as Debauchery Damsel, Princess No-Protection and Jailbait Lass (a girl who ages one year for every four that the rest of the universe does), who begins hanging around the LMB for the first time.

-Loser Lad and Princess Crujectra begin having feelings for one another, and begin dating during this period.

-Tension begins to mount between Shark Lad and Furball, who have a strong dislike for each other. Shady attempts to broker peace between the two, but they are unable to agree with one another or work together. This continues throughout this period.

-Super Lad Kid, one of the newer LMBers, maintains his status mainly as a lurker during this period, only joining them on occasion.

-Psychotic Beaver continues to hang around the LMB. Her main goals were to bother her brother Shark Lad, and get closer to Loser Lad, as it becomes clear that she has a crush on him. Animosity grows between her and LardLad.

-LardLad begins carrying around a shotgun with him on missions. Other LMBers begin fearing that Lardy is becoming "too proactive" in his super-heroing.

Return to Gay Disco Island! Earthgov receives a threat from a mysterious assailant, learning that he plans to unleash a horrible Galactic Bomb on the world if they do not pay him. The LMB tracks him down to Gay Disco Island, and Lucien Lad, Lashwire, Seahorse, Looks that Kill Lad and Crusader journey there to uncover the secret--where they learn that this was all a ploy by a lonely guy named Freddie.

Who is...Mystery Lad? A new hero arrives on the scene named Mystery Lad , and leaves the LMB in awe of his great deductive and scientific skills. After feeling like something is familiar about him, Cobalt Kid, Princess Crujectra, Ample Man, Dedman and Beagle Boy learn that Mystery Lad is really their old friend Tsarin Lad, who is back from the dead!

Come back to us, Tsarin Lad! The whole LMB is called in to bring back Tsarin Lad's memory, so he can be with his friends once more. After going on a variety of missions in attempts to figure out how, Lucien Lad is finally able to restore it with his nostalgia powers. Mystery Lad reunites with his friends for a brief time, but decides to continue on alone for the time being.

Fin Vs. Fur! After weeks of mounting tension, things finally break out into an open battle, as Shark Lad and Furball go one on one against each other! With Kid Therod, Faraway Lad and Loser Lad caught in the middle, Shark Lad and Furball tear through the city, with only Shady as the sole source of reason. [note- this was originally a thread on the L* Board with the same title]

Here, There, Everywhere a Retro The Retros return to battle the LMB, as Loser Lad assembles LardLad, Galahadran, Dedman, Looks that Kill Lad, Sketch Lad and LMB ally Hummer Lass to battle them. In the end, it's only through Lard Lad and Hummer Lass' rendition of ‘that song that goes "Buffalo Girl's won't you come out tonight..."’ that the LMB is able to survive.

The Return of Goon Boy! Former LMBer Goon Boy returns to the fold for a mission, as he suddenly remembers the LMB, his place on the team, and an important message to deliver to them! After racing to their HQ, he is reunited with the team, only to discover he is too late...as Whordru attacks!

To Remember or Die With Whordru attacking LMB HQ, Goon Boy must remember how to defeat her, as the rest of the LMB fends her off. Finally, with the help of Crusader and Ample Man, he is able to remember and Whordru is defeated. Afterwards, however, his super-forgetful powers kick back in, and he loses all memories of the LMB once more, tragically leaving team. [note- these last two stories were not actually written, although Goon Boy did return for one night during this time]

-Shadowfox, who was mainly a lurker poster, makes a few more brief appearances during Loser Lad's term, before disappearing entirely. It's believed that he eventually rejoined his shadow realm.

- Hummer Lass continues to occasionally work with the LMB, mainly to be near LardLad. Because of this, the LMB awards her honorary membership.

-The strange Loser Beaver appears on the scene, and the LMB wonder what the connection is between him and Loser Lad and Psychotic Beaver.

Adriana McCloud aka Carrina Winters joins the LMB and begins posting with them. Note- Her full origin in joining the LMB was revealed in the Never Ending LMB Tag Team Thread, and will be discussed in that section.

Revolt of the Girl LMBers The LMB are shocked when the LMB women: Shady, Space Tart, Foxy Roxy, Cookie Monstress and Hummer Lass (a former LMB villainess) suddenly go evil and start attacking the men! This revolt leads to a variety of LMB men getting turned into women because of an estrogen mine-field. Soon, Princess Crujectra, Cali Flower of the SSOVSS, Dessert Rose, Kitty Pride's Panties and Psychotic Beaver join the women, and the only hope is for five of the gender-reversed men to infiltrate them: LardLass, Bipolar Lass, Dev Damsel, Grey Birdgirl and Mightyfangirl Lass! While Kid Psychout is attacked by an Albino midget and a drunk Cobalt Kid shows up and hits on Mightyfangirl Lass by accident in the meantime, a series of interlude bombs ruin the male LMB's plans and reverts them back to males. However, Whordru is revealed to be the enemy behind this dastardly plot, and is responsible for the female villains helping the female LMBers, as well as Cookie Monstress coming out of retirement. Newcomer Adriana McCloud joins the LMB on her first mission and reverses the evilness of the women, ending the revolt, and the women beat back Whoredru with the help of the men! Note- this was an actual tag team tale during this period, called "Revolt of the Girl LMBers!"

-Midway through Loser Lad's term, the prominent LMBer the Mightyfanboy Lad takes a brief leave of absence from the LMB. After being such a major presence for so long, his absence was sorely felt.

-Lashwire changed his name back to Lash Lad after a brief period.

-Midway through Loser Lad's term, Ample Man leaves the fold, and takes an absence from the LMB.

To Debauch No More! Debauchery Damsel reenters Cobalt Kid’s life and looks to rekindle the old flame. However, she has a dark secret, as Cobalt learns that she has been dealing with the Dominion in the past to make money. Cobalt agrees to help her get away from them, but they capture him. In the end, she sacrifices herself to save him, and her body is left mindless because of it. Cobalt Kid is left reeling and Space Tart is angered by this, leaving Cobalt and Spacey’s relationship further deteriorating.

-Dingboy takes a leave of absence from the LMB.

The Emerald Ass of Ekron The LMB are introduced to the Emerald Ass of Ekron, a powerful artifact with immense power--although it holds a sentience of it's own and looks to corrupt the soul of it's 'owner'. Space Tart is taken over by the Emerald Ass, and her anger over Cobalt Kid and his infrequency in LMB missions comes to a head, as she lashes out at him and the LMB! During this period, she even joins Shark Lad and the Time Mouse Trapper in their attacks on the LMB(covered in the following section). Eventually, it's up to Kid Therod to enter the Emerald Ass and destroy it from within, breaking the hold on Space Tart! It is through this possession by the Emerald Ass that Space Tart gains the later power of pulling strange objects out of people's asses, although she would not learn to control this power until the LMB's fourth year. note- this was an actual tag thread called "The Emerald Ass of Ekron"

An LMB Christmas Tale Shark Lad reminisces about his first Christmas with the LMB while on Monitor Duty, as he tells the tale of how a drunken Loser Lad and Kid Psychout's drinking games began a crazy LMB Christmas, only to be interrupted by a vicious attack by Santa Claus, Snowman Lad (a rejected LMB applicant from "At the LMB Tryouts") and the Pretty Pirates, a group of women scorned by Cobalt Kid on his journeys! After destroying Snowman Lad, the LMB learn that the bad Santa Claus is really his evil brother Satan Claus, and then defeat him and free the real Santa. BJ Boy, Hummer Lass and Connie Lingus join the LMB for the final Christmas Festivities! Originally a tag thread during this era called “The An LMB Christmas Tale”

-In the final weeks of Loser Lad's term, Cobalt Kid disappears entirely with no explanation given at all. Many LMBers are concerned, although many don't find this unusual, given Cobalt's sporadic appearances over the last few months. Space Tart is especially angry and sees this as the culmination of her relationship going sour with Cobalt. What actually happened, unbeknownst to the LMB, was that Cobalt was once again kidnapped by Dark Conan and the Pious One (Dr. Albert Hoffman), and would remain kidnapped for some time under heavy torture.

-The Mightyfanboy Lad rejoins the LMB in the final days of Loser Lad's term under the new guise of Alternate Boy7 , after he attempts a brief ruse by pretending to be a new member. He is easily figured out, as his friends recognized his enthusiastic personality.

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part III: The Day Shark Lad Went Evil

Real History: There is one storyline that sticks out above all others during Loser Lad's term as leader, and that is the period that Shark Lad went evil, which lasted for a few weeks. Beginning with Shark Lad's sudden announcement, the craziness quickly spread into a variety of threads, as Shark Lad attacked a bunch of LMBers, Lash went evil too and joined him, Loser Lad called out to the good LMBers, the Time Mouse Trapper got involved, and even more chaos ensued. Shark Lad remained evil for most of the rest of Loser Lad's term, and eventually ended when the business of real life caused Shark Lad to take a leave of absence from the LMB.

In Continuity: Because of his natural proclivity to do evil, Shark Lad finally snaps one day and goes evil, turning on the LMB. Further, he decides that not only is he now evil, he wants his former friends and comrades to suffer at his hands!

The Day Shark Lad went Evil
An Invitation to Evil
Loser Lad assembles the Good LMBers!

Shark Lad versus Faraway Lad in a surprise attack, Shark Lad sneaks up on Faraway Lad and devours him whole! Only through the clever use of his powers, is Faraway Lad able to escape, although he suffered horrible trauma.

Shark Lad lures Lash Lad to the dark side Through the use of strange new hypnosis skills, Shark Lad is able to cause the frustration that Lash Lad was feeling over Shark Lad's sudden turn to evil and Cobalt Kid's never being around (after waiting for both to return after brief absences) into feelings of vengeance, causing Lash Lad to turn evil with Shark Lad! Both begin not only attacking the LMB, but each other!

Loser Lad assembles the good LMBers! Seeing both Shark Lad and Lash Lad going evil, Loser Lad calls upon the good LMBers to stand their ground and fight. Seahorse, Kid Therod, Crusader and Dev-Em join him, although Beagle Boy finds himself getting turned evil because of Shark Lad's manipulative skills!

Why Kid Therod is immune The LMB learn that Kid Therod is immune to Shark Lad's manipulation, because he already lost his dark side long ago, which now lives on in the sentient form of Doreht.

The Time Mouse Trapper joins the fray! Seeing this as the perfect time to cause the LMB strife, the Time Mouse Trapper returns, joining Shark Lad in his attacks on the LMB!

Emerald Space Tart makes four Happening simultaneously with Shark Lad's going evil, the Emerald Ass possessed Space Tart basks in her own evil-ness and joins Shark Lad, Lash Lad and the Time Mouse Trapper in battling the LMB.

Shady saves Lash Using her morale boosting powers after entering the fray, Shady is able to call back Lash Lad and a confused Beagle Boy to the side of good. Also, Emerald Space Tart undergoes her own transformation back during this time [ note- see "The Emerald Ass of Ekron" story ]

Psychotic Beaver and Studly Woodchuck Down to just Shark Lad and the Time Mouse Trapper, Shark Lad calls upon his siblings, Psychotic Beaver (who was already familiar with the LMB) and Studly Woodchuck to help him. With a renewed strength in numbers, the evil-lings attack!

Pulling the Time Mouse Trapper out in an attempt to separate the Time Mouse Trapper from Shark Lad, Seahorse, Lucien Lad, Looks that Kill Lad and others trick him into bringing them to his own dimension and defeat him there. They then look to the rest of the LMB to solve the Shark Lad situation.

The Finale to the Shark Lad Saga After weeks of battling their friend, it all came to a head, as the LMB tried to make Shark Lad see the error of his ways. During the fracas, Psychotic Beaver is killed by a shotgun wielding LardLad, only to reveal that Loser Beaver is her son with Loser Lad (afterwards, Loser Lad decides to have the ability to have children removed). Studly Woodchuck is also killed by LardLad, to the shock of the LMB. Shark Lad is cornered by the LMBers, who finally break through to him and help him get past his evil side. The combined LMB, especially Shady, help bring Shark Lad to the side of good.

Exit Shark Lad After being exhausted from his recent ordeal, Shark Lad decides to take some time off from the LMB, and to regain his sense of self after having suffered so much. He departs from the LMB. [note- At this time, Shark Lad took his own absence from the LMB outside of continuity]

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part IV: Onevisions During This Period

This another period where there were a lot of Onevisions being written by a variety of creators. Here are some of them during Loser Lad's term:

Attack of the Anti-LMB ~ thread available at LMB Yahoo Group A Onevision tale starring virtually the entire LMB roster, as a team of villains and rejected applicants form to destroy their various LMB counterparts. The Anti-LMB include Salad Tosser Lord, the Retros, Behind You Boy, Worthless Girl, Stick Man and others, which the LMB are able to defeat by switching enemies...only to reveal the true enemy behind it all: the Living Retcon! It's only after the LMB is on the verge of destruction, that Worthless Girl, convinced by Shady of the good of the LMB, betrays her leader and saves them. Intrigued, the Living Retcon agrees to abandon his plan if she accompanies him to the retconverse. note- this was originally a Onevision written by MLLASH

The Evil-ing The tale of the creation of Shark Lad, and his siblings Psychotic Beaver and Studly Woodchuck, and why they are all so prone to do evil. [note- Originally a Onevision by Shark Lad]

The Wacky Adventures of the Living Retcon and Worthless Girl after the Anti-LMB battle, the Living Retcon and Worthless Girl journey through a variety of multiverses and encounter different versions of the LMB. At some point, the retcon powers are transferred to Worthless Girl, who becomes the new fun-loving, flighty Retcon Girl, as the Living Retcon becomes Floyd, his human persona. [Note- originally a Onevision by MLLASH]

The Seahorse and Lash-Tot Adventures At some point, Lash Lad gains the powers of Retcon Girl, and during a lonely light at the Red Light Lounge with Seahorse, he gets nostalgic for his child-hood and accidentally transforms himself into Lash-Tot! After a variety of adventures, Seahorse and Lash-tot are finally saved by Crusader and Princess Crujectra. It remains unclear if those retcon powers were ever returned to Retcon Girl... Note- Originally a Onevision by MLLASH

The Adventures of Piddlin\' Pup Piddlin' Pup’s great adventures while the LMB is away on a mission are chronicled, as the LMB Super-pet gets into a variety of trouble. Originally a Onevision written by Faraway Lad

SSOFAVV A variety of vegetable themed Academy students infiltrate LMB Headquarters, where they turn on the LMB, under the direction of LMB enemy Salad-Tosser Lad. Close to the entire LMB battle back to retake control of their headquarters! Originally a Onevision by Kid Therod

The Secret Origin of Beagle Boy The Origin of Beagle Boy is revealed. Originally a Onevision by Beagle Boy

The Origin of Baby Em Originally a Onevision by Dev Em

The Origin of Kid Therod The Origin of Kid Therod is revealed. Originally a Onevision by Kid Therod

A Dedtime Story ~ thread available at LMB Yahoo Group The Origin of Dedman is revealed! Originally a Onevision written by Dedman

Elseworlds: A Onevision Story Originally a Onevision by Faraway Lad

The Origin of Anchor Boy The Origin of Anchor Boy (aka Dev-Em) is revealed. Originally a Onevision by Dev-Em

The Golden Age LMB note, this story takes place before Year One and is discussed in that section of the timeline. It was originally a Onevision by Faraway Lad.

Last Days of the LMB Experience note, this story takes place before Year One and is discussed in that section of the timeline. It was originally a Onevision by MLLASH, with help from Faraway Lad.

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part V: The Never-Ending Tag Thread

Real History: There were many tag threads throughout Loser Lad's term as leader, as tag team threads were more prominent in this era than any other until Legion World. One tag team thread that stood out from the rest was a thread entitled "The Never-Ending Tag Thread" started by Lardy. Where the others threads usually ran about three pages or less before running their course, this thread was created with the idea of no ending and eventually ran about eight pages. At that point in time, eight pages seemed like an enormous amount for a tag thread, and each page was jam-packed with LMB ideas. There was so much that went on in this thread, that it is still difficult to recall every detail (especially since the thread is lost to us). There were at least over a dozen LMBers participating in writing it, and virtually every LMBer that was active at this time was used in the story.

In Continuity:

The Hootchie Hut is destroyed: The LMB attempt to solve the mystery of who destroyed the Hootchie Hut, although every time they leave the newly repaired Hootchie Hut, it ends up getting destroyed again. LardLad, Lash Lad and Space Tart are heavily involved in this case.

The Origin of Adriana McCloud New LMBer Adriana McCloud is inducted into the LMB, although there is some mystery to her origins. She is continually attacked by an albino midget toting a Rob Liefield-esque gun.

The Albino Midget with the Liefield-Esque Gun: Throughout this story, a variety of albino midgets with Liefield-esque guns attack the LMB, although it is unclear if this was the same albino midget each time.

LMBers sent back in time: At one point, Kid Therod, Faraway Lad, Shady and other LMBers were sent back in time, where they fought against the Keith Richards Dinosaur, one of the most feared creatures in history.

Who is Globe Girl? The long term mystery of Globe Girl is finally revealed, after she saves the universe alongside Silicon Sandra, and the LMBers discover the two are incredibly similar. Finally, Sketch Lad admits his dark secret, and tells how Globe Girl is actually 'his creation', based on Silicon Sandra. Globe Girl, although upset by this news, stays strong, but ultimately makes the ultimate sacrifice and dies fighting those attempting to destroy the Hootchie Hut.

Battle with the Khunds: While Loser Lad and others raced across the galaxy to solve the mystery of these various attacks, they became embroiled in a war with the Khunds. The Khunds demanded that the LMB accept Khund members, so Cannon-Fodder Khund and Dead in Four Posts Bob joined the team! Sadly, neither new member made it out of the first battle alive! Dedman, who was immune to dying like normal species, adopted the nickname "Cannon-Fodder Kid" for his willingness to sacrifice himself as nobly as the Khundian recruits.

Kid Psychout versus Salad-Tosser Lord Throughout this story, Kid Psychout found himself left alone on Earth with his motorcycle and baseball bat, eventually being ambushed by Salad-Tosser Lord! note- this subplot went on for pages and pages before being resolved

Biegeseid: Finally, the LMB came face to face with the ultimate villain behind it all: Biegeseid! Most especially offended were Sketch Lad (as an artist) and Lucien Lad, who was so repulsed by Biegeseid that he made an unprecedented move: he summoned all of his Brads and called them to arms, so that they acted as his personnel army against the fearsome foe! The entire LMB soon joined in and fought back and defeated Biegeseid. Even the entrance of Plaidseid, who still somewhat remains vague, did not turn the favor away from the victorious LMB.

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part VI: The Election of Crusader and Anchor Boy

Real History: With Loser Lad's term coming to an end, it was time for the LMB to elect it's newest leader and deputy leader, for the fourth term of office. The usual campaigning and mudslinging ensued and chaos reigned on the L* Board for a few weeks before the leaders were eventually decided. It was Newcru (later known as Crusader) and Dev-Em (then going by the name of Anchor Boy) who were elected the new leaders for the next term.

The results were:

LEADER: Newcru King

DEPUTY LEADER: Anchor Boy (a.k.a. Dev-Em)

ELECTION RESULTS

NEWCRU KING: 7 Votes
ANCHOR BOY (a.k.a. Dev-Em): 4 Votes
BEAGLE BOY: 3 Votes
LOSER LAD: 2 Votes
KID THEROD: 0 Votes *
LARDLAD: 0 Votes *

TOTAL VOTES: 16

In Continuity: After Loser Lad's term came to an end, the LMB held their next elections, and Crusader and Anchor Boy were elected as the new LMB leader and deputy leader. They were both sworn into office for the final term of the second year of the LMB's existence.

Year Two: Loser Lad’s Term
Part VI: The LMB under Loser Lad

Loser Lad's term during year two was part of the continuing trend of LMBers tightening their friendships, flexing their creative muscles and expanding as a group and an idea. This was the period that saw the greatest amount of Onevisions ever in LMB History and also, with Lash's term, had the most tag team threads (up until the opening of Legion World, three years later). The L* Board and the Yahoo Group continued to serve as the homes of the LMB, and the mission to spread the love of the Legion and tighten Legion fandom remained, as always, a strong part of it's existence.

Here is the LMB roster at the exact time that Loser Lad's term as leader came to an end:

Loser Lad (leader)
Crusader (deputy leader)
Lash Lad
LardLad
Shadowplay in Candlelight Lass
Seahorse
Rhino
Beagle Boy

Year Two: Crusader’s Term
Part I: Early Anecdotes and Adventures during Crusader's Term

-There was a strong decline in alt ID activity in the LMB, as Furball, Lexbose, Foxy Roxy and Silicon Sandra spend less time among the non-alt ID LMBers.

-With Cobalt Kid no longer an active member (now totally disappeared), Space Tart wrote their relationship off completely and enjoyed the company of other strait male LMBers, such as Kid Psychout and Faraway Lad. Still, she concealed the fact that her heart truly was broken. An even stronger, more independent Space Tart emerged.

-Adriana McCloud starts exhibiting strange behavior among the LMB, and they begin worrying about her irrationality.

-Crusader meets and starts dating the wizard Maxx. The two quickly become a couple.

The Death of Seahorse a mystery unravels as it appears that Seahorse has been shot...only for the LMB to learn that he is still alive and triplicating exponentially! Soon, all of the LMB begin triplicating, as their counterparts become increasingly evil. Starring a huge selection of LMBers during this time period. Originally a tag thread entitled "The Death of Bellbookcandle Kid"

The Bizzarro LMBers while playing around in Tsarin Kid's lab, Cobalt Kid, Silicon Sandra and Lucien Lad accidentally tap into a Bizzarro World...which accidentally causes half of the LMB to become Bizzarros! Only Crusader, Disco-Loser Lad, new LMBer Adrianna McCloud and a bizzarrofied Kid Psychout have any chance of saving the day! Interesting things occur such as Beagle Boy being transformed into an exact duplicate of Crystal of the Inhumans, and Lash Lad and Silicon Sandra having a hot sex scene! Many believe that this was all a nightmare of Loser Lad's after a long night of drunken debauchery, since many details do not make much sense...

The Primary Color Gang the LMB are introduced to a whole new set of enemies: the Primary Color Gang (Gay Green Giant, Blue Cheese Boy, Red Arthur, Kid Blackout), and their leader Yellow Kid! Alternate Boy7, Anchor Boy, Lucien Lad, Beagle Boy, Looks that Kill Lad, Faraway Lad, Dedman, and Adrianna McCloud go toe to toe with this team of super-villains!

Suddenly HUGEMANBREASTS! Hugemanbreasts reappears after being missing for months, and Space Tart attempts to calm and help him/her, although to no avail. Soon, LardLad, Kid Therod, Shady and Loser Lad are pulled into a huge battle.

Return of the Primary Color Gang The Primary Color Gang returns for another attack on what they now see as their main enemies, and Crusader, Lash Lad, Seahorse, Midnight Son, Zoe's Love Slave and Foxy Roxy face them! Kid Blackout is especially vile and nasty, although Yellow Kid, despite being their leader, appears to have his own sense of honor. Crusader wonders if one day he could be an LMB ally...

Wilted by the Dessert Rose Dessert Rose returns to find Cobalt Kid missing and her baby's father is still unknown. Angered, she lashes out at the LMB and captures Alternate Boy7, Dedman, Kid Psychout, Sketch Lad, Anchor Boy and Princess Crujectra, demanding that they get Mystery Lad to help her solve this mystery. She is eventually defeated by Crujectra and Dedman, as the LMBers have no clue where Mystery Lad is (yet another mystery).

The Super Red Army of Space! The Super Red Army of Space, and independent communist division looking to control all the means of production throughout time and space attack the LMB! LardLad, Lash Lad, Lucien Lad, Looks that Kill Lad, Silicon Sandra, Lexbose, Adrianna McCloud and Loser Lad battle them.

-Another LMBer leaves the fold, as Alternate Boy7 (aka Mightfanboy Lad) leaves the LMB to pursue other things and have a normal life growing up without super-heroics. Sasha disappeared from the LMB at this time, after a long period as a prominent LMB poster, and has been missed ever since.

Hummer Lass and LardLad and the Mystery Firebomber While battling longtime antagonist Hummer Lass, LardLad is told of a possible firebombing occurring somewhere in the city. Hummer Lass, in a change of character (although not quite so much) agrees to help Lardy find the bomber in order to stop the destruction, as Rhino and Crusader coordinate the effort. Hummer Lass' relationship with the LMB remains ambiguous after.

Origin of the Hootchie Hut The secret Origin of the Hootchie Hut is explored by LardLad, Loser Lad, Anchor Boy and others, as the various backrooms in the Hootchie Hut open up to portals throughout different dimensions and realities. Originally a tag team thread in the Super Hero Chat forum, which was lost to us.

-Furball takes time off from the LMB, and leaves the team. [note- Around this time, Dev-Em would stop posting with Furball almost completely]

-Graphics Lad decreases his involvement with the LMB. [note- Steve Lightle, as a creator, never became too involved with LMB Shenanigans. Like all creators, we are honored to have them apart of the group. In the future, we will look to them more as honorary members when ‘in continuity’, since it was would be very awkward to use them for story purposes. Outside continuity, however, they will remain part of the membership.]
