How do you think some of them tried to cope with life on the outside.

I heard that girl in the yellow-and-black stripped costume was hospitalized with a honey addiction... of SPACE.

Hmm... did we ever have a thread where we identified the female prisoners, or is that just one of those things we planned but never got around to doing...?

From left to right:

1. Light Lass is either concerned or curious about this grouping. Does she suspect that one of them is Nardo's mole? Does she have a crush on one of them? Has her otherwise unknown sense of detecting when someone's superpower has been switched by Naltorian super-science kicked in?

Tangerine Teen... from Braal. Her magnetism is displayed by a power signature unique to her, one which is a color a couple of shades paler than her costume. Her power is very weak for a Braalian when focused on metals, but she alone among her people can use her ability on plastic and ceramic.

2. Demon Daughter, half-Khund, half-Imskian. She manifests traits of a winged, fiery figure of Khundi legend, but only when shrunken. Her pose exposes her dejected state (and the fact that she isn't wearing any bottoms?). The girls sitting with her appear to be comforting her. Did Nardo kill a friend?

3. The chick in pale green in the distance. She's watching the pair by the fence. I think she's Nardo's mole. She's from a world where everyone is super-fat. Prolonged thinness leads to death. Nardo's de-fatassed her to make her do his bidding. He'll only use his tech on her if she spies for him. She has super-hearing, super-sight, super-touch (she can detect things by feeling them with any part of her skin in a way that seems mystical to observers) and super sound mimicry. Let's call her The Parrakat.

4. Light green skin and dark, dark hair. She's from Talok VIII and is of Lady Memory's tribe. But don't distrust her. A scientific genius, she fled her fundamentalist tribe and then her barbaric (to her) world as a preteen. She studied the harmonics of bees and made a fortune with naturally flavor-augmented honies. She used that money and her biochemical prowess to give herself flight, bioelectric shock powers (the Buzz) and control of a swarm of mutated cyborg bees. Unusual for a genius in that she's essentially kind-natured, she doesn't like to use her other ability, a 'queen bee' power to influence sentients for brief periods using a subtle application of her buzz through her voice. She calls herself Astral Honeybee, but is ashamed of the name- but uses it as a marketing tie-in to her brand. She considers the wealth from that brand a super power of it's own.

5. She plainly adores Imra and seems supplicant to her. They're likely having a telepathic conversation. I imagine she's a weaker or more inexperienced telepath than Saturn Girl. She probably wears one of Imra's medallions under her costume. Or perhaps her people use elaborate hand gestures as communication.
I'm going to say she has complete mental rapport with animals and call her Menagerie. She can commune mentally with other telepaths, but finds it difficult.

6. She's done something to piss Nardo off and has to do menial labor when the others don't. Her powers are physical, like super acrobatics and superspeed. She's imagining how to use that bowl or whatever as a weapon. This gal's tough, but stylish. Armory Blur.

7. Azura. Minor royalty from Femnaz with enhanced strength and spinning powers (like Red Tornado). That skirt has a steel hem honed to a fine edge. She glows like the Blue Fairy when using her powers. She's unusally tolerant of males, for one from her world.

8. and 9. This duo is just that. Like Batman and Robin. One's a proficient escape artist and gymnast, while her partner's a martial artist and inventor. They're assessing the perimeter and plotting. Their postures read tourists out for a stroll, but they're thinking escape. I don' t think powers are their trademark, but since they're in Nardo's camp, let's say they're from the Sorceror's World and have very limited and specific magics. Nightingale and Stone Lily.

I always thought the criminal neglect the story gave the girls' camp was the one negative to this story. I want a sequel. Chemical Kid and Dragonbreath against Nardo....

It's a long-established Legion World fact theory that the female prisoners include unused fan-created characters, such as Nasal Hazel, Itch Witch, and Lunar Lass!

I think of Rain Girl as the redheaded applicant lass who always appeared at the tryouts.

^^She may be my candidate for Colorless Kate.

I peg the girl talking to Saturn Girl as Lunar Lass.

Should we be making assumptions on the girls based solely on their colors?

I wanted to make these suggestions for three of the girls.

The red-skinned one in the stripped costume? Sunset Lass. She comes from a tropical planet. Her people actually live in volcanoes because their bodies can withstand the heat and temperature, kind of like salamanders, but they've started venturing out into the lush, open coastal areas. She took her name from seeing a sunset for the first time, and fashioned a heat-resistant tunic based off the colors she saw. She's used to hard labor lifting rocks and such. She can readjust her body temperature and has heat-based abilities. She can walk underwater but she can't breathe under it, and while she can heat up she can't use the full extent of her powers.

The girl in yellow and black? Wasp Woman. She comes from a planet where humans evolved from insects, and there's a tribunal made up of representatives of each insect and arachnid kingdom. Ants, spiders, beetles, bees, wasps, hornets, cockroaches, grasshoppers, etc. Wasp Woman is actually a princess from the Wasp Kingdom's country who left because she wanted to experience life outside of the hive mind, but she's been having some trouble adjusting to a new hive-like mentality in Nardo's prison camp. She can communicate with wasps and can transform her body into a more insect-like form.

The deep peach colored girl? Dance Damsel. A ballerina who has perfected her dancing to a new type of fighting skill and therefore wears an outfit which allows her to freely move her arms and legs. She decided to fight crime when, during a performance of the Space Nutcracker, criminals attempted to kidnap the high-ranking political figures attending the show. The Science Police showed up and the would-be kidnappers attempted to hold Dance Damsel hostage, but she somehow managed to fight back utilizing her dancing abilities and helped capture the criminals.

Ooh, fun.

The girl talking to Saturn Girl is clearly Murran, and, based on her contemplative stance, I'm going to say that she's got some sort of psychic clairvoyance or intuitive powers that allow her to cast her senses out remotely, or to make incredible intuitive leaps and connect information on hyper-cognitive levels, but the impressions she receives are often blurry and subject to interpretative errors if she jumps to conclusions.

At that very moment, she was intuiting a way out of the prison, by combining the talents of those present (many of which she had no way of consciously knowing, but that's part of her gift!).

The girl in front of Light Lass, facing us, has creepy wrinkly ankles.

Creepy Wrinkly Ankle Lasses powers remain a mystery!

That's what she wants us to think! That's actually Skinpocket Sally, she has the remarkable ability to create small pockets in her skin to carry things in. She's a walking utility belt!

(Sally's looking glum here because she only packed a transuit and a medkit before she left home, not much good for escaping super-stalags of space)

Skinpocket Sally is the hot sister of the Gen X member, Skin.

She's all verklempt because her brother got crucified.

And she forgot to wear pants and has to sit like that for modesty's sake.

Or perhaps it's a gang thing, and saggy ankles are a sign that she's not a narc? So hard to tell with kids these days...

For someone who likes to run around with her boobs out all over Winath, Ayla is looking mighty judgemental of Skinpocket Sally's lack of pantaloons here. Bad Ayla!
