For awhile I have been contemplating posting this thread. After meeting Exnihil on Saturday, I have decided to go ahead and post this topic. If you do not know, Linkara hosts "Atop the Fourth Wall", a video series where he reviews comic books. As far as I know, he has never reviewed Legion of Super-Heroes comics. Since the series is just being cancelled and Justice League 3000 is in the news, he might reviews some Legion of Super-Heroes comics.

The only catch is that he only reviews bad comics.

I believe that most of the Legion of Super-Hero comics that I have read are good. I remember not understanding some of the Adventure Era comics, but that in of itself does not make them bad comics. What issues do you think would be worthy to suggest to Linkara?

Offhand I'd say the Legion on the Run issues, along with the ones drawn by Steve Ditko.

Oh, and the entire retroboot.

First comic books ever bought: A DC four-for-47-cents grab bag that included Adventure #331. The rest is history.

I didn't want to say it first, so I'm glad you did. In particular, these last few issues have been HORRIFIC. JUST TERRIBLE.

Though I've read through the 3boot issue #50 fiasco and it seems that until recently everyone thought that was the worst Legion comic ever printed in the history of ever. XD

Jamm was just ahead of his time. In a 1000 years, he will be retro cool.

Submitted for review:

any issue with Johns and Frank.

Since we've been reading the archives I'd have to suggest almost all of the ones written by Jerry Siegel as well, especially the Urthlo story. Ugh!

Titans/Legion Universe Ablaze for me. You have Starfire on Earth one page and then showing up on Titan the next because of Omen's teleportation power; four Titans written off inthe first few pages; Spark is sent to an UNDERWATER battle; and the Legionnaires put together some of the most idiotic teams possible.

Oh man, I just read that a couple months back! IT IS AWFUL. Though I did enjoy Cosmic Boy being a bit of a player! He was all suave and stuff with that girl (whose name I can't recall).

Argent, I think. Maybe he was using her to rebound from Saturn Girl!

But it was! They send Element Lad and Sensor under the sea, but neither does ANYTHING against Tempest or Argent.

They send a team of five with almost identical powers (Karate Kid, Thunder, Monstress, Ferro, Triad) to fight Starfire, Arsenal and Donna Troy, but leave Kinetix and Kid Quantum II behind?!

Probably the only cool moment I liked was when Apparition phases her hand into Saturn Girl's chest to keep her heart beating.

There are different kinds of "bad". Retroboot, and threeboot #50 are the wrong kind of bad--you really need to read some other issues to understand what's wrong with them.

Silver Age has been done by Super Future Friends, so I'd suggest the Ditko issues, or some others from before #284, such as Space Circus of Death or the one with the genie. Reflecto Saga is another one--if Linkara does multi-issue stories.

I dunno. Some of the current issues are just straight up bad. I don't even think you could figure out what HAPPENED in the other issues even if you WANTED to.

He has done multi-issue stories in the past; the one that comes to my mind is a bad issue involving Superman and Big Barda. He accepts comic book donations too, so if anyone wants to give him issues you dislike, this is a chance.

Another question is if would you like me to submit this on behalf of the forum or should we submit our suggestions individually?

During the Archie Legion there was the "super" bad guy Domino(?) seeking to do the Legion in, particularly Cosmic Boy, and took his orders from a bitter unemployed dishwasher. Huh?

If all that are reviewed are bad stories then my suggestion would be the recent Fatal Five storyline - apart from the issue with Portellas art it was just rot imo.

Legion Worlds NINE - wait, there's even more ongoing amazing adventures? Yup, and you'll only find them in the Bits o' Legionnaire Business Forum.

That was Domain. And it does make sense, as the bitter unemployed dishwasher was Cosmic Boy's former manager.

The story itself wasn't all that bad IMO, but I may be biased. But at least it was only a single issue, unlike some of the stinkers here!

Did anyone submit their suggestions as an individual?

I think I will suggest the Reflecto Saga and two single issues. If anyone has issues they are willing to donate, it would increase the chance that it would appear on the show.

I didn't send in my comics individually, Emily. Feel free to include my suggestions if you want. I won't be able to share the comics with you though - shipping costs from here would be terrible!

I sent Linkara a message a little while ago thanking him for providing entertainment and suggested titles. He has recently begun reviewing "The Culling" crossover issues with Legion Lost, and it is hilarious.
