Since Bowmen going bad has come up in another thread, here’s something about a noble, selfless hero with a bow and arrow.

Ever since I read Adventure 354 I had wondered about the statues visited by Ferro Lad’s brother in the Adult Legion future.

There’s no definite link to show that this is park is a memorial for Legionnaires, let alone anything that links the statue to Biron. However, to me, the statue has something on it’s back, that reminds me of a quiver. The staff could easily be a bow with a little imagination.

Perhaps Biron was proficient in a number of ancient weapons, or perhaps the staff is a symbol of his ancient wisdom.

I like to think, that the immortal Biron/ Comet/Super-Horse finally ended his days as a galactic hero. Probably something to do with the rise of Circe, Olympian Gods and a glimpse of Amazonian culture in the 31st century.

It also adds another hint of foreshadowing to the Adult Legion stories.
