The Legion and DC Events. Having shown their potential with the Great Darkness saga and considering Levitz's role in DC, the Legion paid them as little mind as they could get away with.

However, the consequences of them often had huge impacts. The retcons of Superboy and Supergirl have rarely been resolved satisfactorily. Here's another smaller example...

Here's the most interesting image of Millennium

The Manhunters are on Earth to prevent the next generation of super beings that will inherit something or another... or kick start whatever... or bring the focus of the DC Universe to Earth in another silly way...

Anyway, writers had to offer up sacrifices to the editorial god of DC Whims. One of their cast would be a Manhunter. They always had been Manhunters, regardless of any previous actions.

Levitz parted with Laurel Kent, a move that also conveniently got rid of a post Crisis Superman link that made DC editorial uncomfortable in the new regime.

that Laurel had been shot and had bled from the wound. There's always the terminator argument that suggest that Laurel was a combination of flesh and steel.

However, that wouldn't match the power she clearly already had or any attempt to treat her injury. It has been suggested that the Legion put it's applicants through some more in depth testing, presumably following the spell in Adventure Comics where it seemed every new member turned out to be a traitor.

But if Laurel Kent was a very unlikely choice, was there another, better option.

Well one of the Legion members had his origins surrounding androids.

Brin Londo even went around thinking he was one in his Lone Wolf days.Sure, Karth Arn turned out to be an android and to have switched identities with Londo. But what if Londo was an android too?

Whether created by a grieving father after Zuunium radiation poisoned his real son or whether replaced during his long absence at the hand of Tyr... could Londo have been a Manhunter waiting to betray the Legion.
