Hey guys. So, my old laptop died, and since Carol has my new one for the office, I now have her old computer. Problem is... Sam has been using it for games, and he picked up that effin' virus. Usually there's a manual way that you can go in and clean a virus out. It's been a while since I have had to do it because I am scrupulous with cleaning my computer every day.

However, now I've got this thing on the computer, and I need it for work. Do any of our resident computer genius' know a site where I can go to find out how to remove it without downloading other stuff that may have virus' or be rip off sites? I sure would appreciate it.

Happened to me once. I created an account on Bleeping Computer, http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/, and someone walked me through the scanning and removal process. I was skeptical at first, but it looks legit.

And yes, people who create computer viruses are !*#*!(!*!

Ibby, that's the one I tried, using their manual removal. They had an RKill or something or other. Now carol's computer is messed up. I bit the bullet and bought another one, spending money I really didn't need to, but I have to have a work computer. I still need to remove the virus from the other though.

Oh, that must be so frustrating. are you willing to sign into their forums and have someone instruct you on what to do? That's what I did and it worked fine for me.

Computer viruses are so annoying.
