I have to admit having put pretty much zero thought into what the heck this member of the United Planets Young Heroes sounds like! Ah, heck... I'll just say she sounds like Barry White just to get it out there.

LOL Wow. That means her voice is even deeper than Cherie Currie's! (I love Cherie Currie's voice, deep or not.) What version of the Legion did Voice appear in, and what issue?

Threeboot Shooter era. Looks like #38 and #41.
The UPYHs were kind of equivalent to the Subs (only with threeboot logic, they were the ones with government sanction!).

I imagine her sounding like the Bene Gesserit's 'command voice' from the Dune movie.

The United Planets Young Heroes (Legion of Super-Heroes #38 &41)
Voice: She had the ability to mesmerize and mind-control only dull and slow people or people who were distracted, or under a lot of stress.
Sludge: He had the ability to turn any surface into a mucky, sticky mess. His father was Vice Chancellor of Antares. (Another Antarean!)
Spy: He had acute senses and limited telepathy. Once sort-of detected an invisible Invisible Kid.
Sonar: She had the ability to hear very well underwater.
Virus: She had the ability to cause others to be sick. She had poor control over her abilities. She was basically a 3boot, less visually interesting Infectious Lass.
Fruit Boy: Possibly the greatest of the UPYH, he also had the best costume. He had the power to accelerate the ripening of any kind of fruit. Fruit Boy was in a way similar to the inestimable Chlorophyll Kid, but with substantially more limited abilities.
Gazelle: (Giselle Smith of Triton, a moon of Neptune) She possessed the ability to manipulate her metabolism in order to achieve several effects, most prominently boosting it to give her a substantial degree of super strength and speed. She was also capable of slowing down her metabolism to such an extent that she entered a coma state akin to hibernation. Not one of the original Young Heroes, she was first offered membership in the Legion. She rejected Legionnaire status in favor of the UPYH. She inexplicably changed her mind later, and was a Legion member for a few issues before the book was cancelled. Tangentially, she was briefly romantically associated with Invisible Kid.

Thanks, Klar, but I'm still not going to re-read those issues. I got rid of them a long time ago, anyway. As a matter of fact, I may not even have bought 41. IIRC, 38 was the one with the Shvaughn fake-out, which really angered me and was the last straw which caused me to stop reading the Threeboot.

College buddy of mine won the very first one of those, at least I think it was the first one, with his BBQ technique. GSP!
