He has teamed up with heroes, but there is one superhero team (and one supervillain organization) that he is chiefly associated with
Oh crap - I made a mistake - he was indeed briefly on a team with Justice in the title

Not in Western genre.
I do have to clarify a previous answer. Normally the character does not appear in the superhero genre, but a recent story did feature characters that are superheroes.
Update:
