She always promises to turn over a new leaf as New Year's Eve, but by the end of the year we're back to where we started ... again.

Steve Aries would be Saturn Queen's totally fabulous gay brother

The fabulous Steve Aries, also known as Saturn Queen I.

And we witness the creation of yet another fabulous Legion character!

You just gotta love the collaborative process through which we came up with Christmas Steve Aries!

Eve Aries is a telepath who specializes in controlling minds, enforcing her iron will on those she deems inferiors (which is to say, pretty much everyone!).

Her brother Steve went the other direction, and he's 'specialized' in causing people to lose all control of themselves and throw away their inhibitions and *par-tay!* He's the life of every party, and Eve is insanely jealous of how he's parlayed a distinct *lack* of control and self-discipline into superstar popularity and invitations to every cool thing, ever.

His powers totally don't work on her (nor hers on him), so she can't make him 'be serious, for once, and do something with your life' and he can't make her 'loosen up and cut loose.'

Any truth to the rumor that Steve is dating Colossal Boy's younger brother?

Saturn Queen joins forces with the Anti Claus in the little seen Legion of Super Villains Holiday Special (2011).

Santa will subdue her with an adorable china doll or something, just like in that Rankin-Bass special of yore.

I'd hadn't heard of Rankin-Bass. A quick google tells me that one of the Japanese companies they outsourced to, Toei Animation, would create an offshoot called Topcraft. A number of people from that company would join its successor, Studio Ghibli.

Studio Ghibli would create films such as the rather spiffy Princess Mononoke.

I was thinking of that bit in Santa Claus Is Coming To Town where the future Mrs. Claus was all business until ol' Kris gave her a china doll.

Eve and her pals have made their decision regarding your Festive gift...

What a sourpuss. Fortunately, her brother hasn't fallen under her evil spell.

Steve Aries lives: "Steve Aries (a.k.a. Jester Muzik) Holding court at some of Montreal’s most prestigious dance events and clubs, Steve Aries is renowned for entertaining and captivating the kings and queens of Montreal’s highly critical and competitive nightlife scene."

If you look at Cosmic King's hair, that's clearly Polecat impersonating the villain in a daring Legion of Super Heroes Substitute Reserves mission. The helmet also prevents the other villains from spotting the Polecat at work, marking the location of the villainous headquarters.

Note, that it's not the "villains' headquarters." Well, it is. But it's also something villainous in its own right: Anti-Fortress Lad! He was formerly against all warfare as Commune Kid, but that's all changed!

Steve Aries is super-cool, but Anti-Fortress Lad definitely needs to be explored more!

This character needs to be written into LMB fanfic pronto!
