I know One Piece. It is amazingly long-running. The comic series (manga) it is based on has been going on for ages.

Anime is one of those things I feel like I should "get," but I really don't. I'll watch it if I'm around other people who do, though. Also, I'm pretty sure that mr_cleome hasn't killed me. Uh... unless I'm like that poor dude in Matt Wagner's old comic who wasn't aware he was a ghost until some mystical beings clued him in about it.

Anime is one of those things I feel like I should "get," but I really don't. I'll watch it if I'm around other people who do, though. I saw a trailer for Ghost in the Shell live action the other day. A lot is lifted from the anime, which is fine, and they've added what seem to be some interesting plot changes. But I just can't quite get past Scarlett Johansson in the lead role. Something else else in the voice/delivery. Still, it looks good, so I'm happy to try and get used to it.

It sucks that after all these years, Hollywood still insists on casting a White performer in what should've been a role for an Asian performer.
Anger at S.J. is only part of that. The money people behind these films made the decision and then she capitalized on it. To be honest, I think it deserves to be a massive flop, just like Avatar was after similar casting missteps.
