I will close the polls at midnight in case Myg wants to make a last minute vote. In an event of a tie, I will flip a coin.

The Count
Appelaxians- 2 Brainstorm- 0 The Cadre- 0 Crime Syndicate (Anti-Matter) - 1 Eurocrime- 1 Plastique- 0 Star Sapphire III - 2
Our Tie is: Appelaxians (Heads) vs. Star Sapphire III (Tails) . The result of the coin toss (I used a Nickel) is Tails, so Star Sapphire III will be entered into the final list. I will start the next round shortly.

cool. I would have been OK with either of them entering the list. at least we get more females. though I've never really thought of Star Sapphire as a League villain

^ Funnily enough, this Star Sapphire was only ever a League villain if I recall correctly (albeit, as a member of a team).
She was invented for the SSoSV comic and her main claim to fame is being one of the members who mind-swapped with the JLA in the infamous story which became the basis for Identity Crisis.
She then fell into limbo for many years before Geoff Johns unceremoniously killed her off shortly before the New 52.

I remember her... Deborah Darnell, wasn’t it? I always assumed she had appeared in Green Lantern first before her turn as an SSOSV member

I was going to mock huffily ask whether or not she could turn things into wood like an Appelaxian, then I remembered how skimpy the Star Sapphire costume was and that the answer is "probably"

Top 16 - I am going to keep the scale at 5's for sack of simplicity. I feel like we may reach the Semi-Finals this week given the pattern of results for previous rounds. I want to remind everyone I will not be running an Idol in the near future. I want to take at least a two months break so I can focus on the RPG, if there is any interest. I worked very hard to put together the story so I hope to get at least two testers. If anyone else wants to run a different game, please feel free to do so and I will be happy to assist. I know a couple of you were interested in the RPG, so please check it out and post: http://www.legionworld.net/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=938759#Post938759The Final ListAmazo Crime Syndicate (Earth 3) Despero Doctor Destiny Felix Faust Floronic Man Giganta Key Manhunters Professor Ivo Queen Bee T.O. Morrow Royal Flush Gang Shaggy Man Starro Star Sapphire

Amazo (1960) - The one man Justice League who has been part of the JLA mythos since the Brave and Bold days. He's one villain every creator likes to have a shot at. Crime Syndicate (Earth 3) (1964) - They were a great team of foes to combat both the JLA and JSA and have been in some great adventures across various reboots. Despero (1960) - Another Brave and Bold character who got a new lease of life under Conway and then into the post Crisis League, where he went after the remaining JL Detroit members. Doctor Destiny (1961) - So scary, he even made appearances in Sandman. I remember him attacking the League through the dreams of others. Felix Faust (1962) - Star of one of the best JLA covers in a story where he tried to control the Demons Three, who once ruled our galaxy! Floronic Man (1962) - Part of that great Ultra Humanite plot against the JLA and JSA as well as being part of the Alan Moore JLA story over in Swamp Thing. Giganta (1944!) - Strongwoman foe of Wonder Woman who was also an ape according to Wiki! I remember her more from when she could shift her size in later Wonder Woman stories. Key (1965 based on a 1951 name) - His psycho chemicals expanded his senses! I remember him using Amazo to recover his original form and from Morrison's story on the moon. Manhunters (1977 from a lineage going back to 1942) - Robotic Green Lantern precursors who have used superheroes as pawns. Key to the poor Millennium series. Professor Ivo (1960) - The creator of Amazo in his quest to attain immortality. He succeeded but at the cost of his form. Behind the destruction of the JLD. Queen Bee (1963) - An alien ruler who turned the League into drones as she looked for immortality. Another great cover, and she popped up in a Morrison villains team. T.O. Morrow (1964) - Bounced around the multiverse after creating a machine that predicted the future. Royal Flush Gang -(1966) - They've be run by everyone from Amos Fortune to Hector Hammond and are always fun opponents as they fight as much with each other as the heroes. Shaggy Man (1966) - Able to regenerate, he's a villain that the heroes have to contain rather than beat, leading to some interesting stories. Starro (1960) - From attacking Happy Harbour to nearly getting control of New York, he's a real alien menace from the best sci fi films of the '50s. Star Sapphire (1976, based on a 1959 character with a name from 1947!) - Chosen of the Zamarons, she would become part of the Secret Society of Super Villains in their ongoing series.
Amazo -50 Crime Syndicate (Earth 3) - 25 Despero - 50 Doctor Destiny - 35 Felix Faust - 20 Floronic Man - 40 Giganta -5 Key - 30 Manhunters -15 Professor Ivo - 40 Queen Bee - 15 T.O. Morrow -10 Royal Flush Gang - 15 Shaggy Man - 15 Starro - 50 Star Sapphire - 5

^ Nice write-up TL! Now that we’re living in a dark alternate timeline instead of the good correct one where Andy got his vote in on time and the Appelaxians went on to win this game ( ) I don’t know who I want to give points to. All of these characters are so great (at being bad)! ... Amazo 5 Crime Syndicate (Earth 3) 5 Despero 50 Doctor Destiny 50 Felix Faust 50 Floronic Man 5 Giganta 5 Key 5 Manhunters 5 Professor Ivo 5 Queen Bee 5 T.O. Morrow 50 Royal Flush Gang 50 Shaggy Man 50 Starro 50 Star Sapphire 5

Bizarre tangent. The 'Zamorans' from Star Sapphire's backstory remind me of a character from the Aberrant superhero RPG, named 'Glamora, Queen of the Glamazons,' an illusionist who likes to dress in drag. I have no idea why I conflate Zamoran with Glamazon, but such is the eternal mystery that is my brain.

"And hence forth, you shall travel to man's world where they will know you as Zamaglam, Queen of the Amarons!" "Uh, actually my name's Barry." If we're talking WB Barry (Allen), then that actually works, because he is A Moron.

Yups, this was a tough round to assign point to. Mainly because all of them threatened me with their nefarious schemes.

You know, Dr. Destiny dreamed about this ...
I can't believe Ivo, who dominated so much of this, is going home Manhunters, Floronic Man and Star Sapphire were all villains of other heroes primarily But the KEY?!?!?! Wow
