The Teen Titans thought one of their members was too paranoid because he/she read too many horror novels. Who is it?

I'll give you all a hint - Risk was the one who accused the other Titan of being paranoid

YES! In Teen Titans Annual #1, the Titans are brought to a small town of cannibals - one founded by an ancestor of Risk. Only Isaiah (his code names are TERRIBLE) thinks something is wrong with the small town, but the other Titans dismiss him because of his love of horror novels.
Over to you, Ibby!

I think I remember thinking that was a fun issue! Yeah it was definitely a high point - complete with cannibals, cat soup, and a vengeful ghost

I never read it, but it does sound fun.
And among that Titans team, only Joto and Atom sounded like they would read horror novels. (I had a brain fart when I guessed Risk)
Okay...
During the Tians/Legion crossover with Harvest, where captive young metahumans were forced to fight for reasons I still cannot quite comprehend, one unfortunate captive (who for some reason did not seem to have any metapowers anyway) was killed, galvanizing our heroes into fighting back.
What was the name of this captive (who, it seems, got better in the end?)

I might be getting my bad Titans stories mixed up but I seem to remember hearing that Fever (I think her name was) from Arcudi's Doom Patrol died in one of them, so I'll guess her.

The Titans aren't as international as the X-Men, but they've still had a number of members and villains born outside the U.S. Please name the Titans-related characters who were born in the following countries/city-states:
Atlantis Atlantis Australia Australia Cambodia Egypt England England England France Germany Guatemala Guatemala Haiti India India Japan Markovia Russia Vietnam Vietnam Vietnam

I like this question a lot! Thanks! It took a bit of research. Well done everyone! Only 1 to go: Please name the Titans-related characters who were born in the following countries/city-states: Atlantis - Aqualad/Tempest Atlantis - Aquagirl Australia - Mammoth Australia - Shimmer Cambodia - Ravager Egypt - Osiris England - England - Phobia England - The Mad Mod France - Warp Germany - Plasmus Guatemala - Mas Guatemala - Menos Haiti - Houngan India - Jinx India - Solstice Japan - Bushido Markovia - Terra Russia - Red Star Vietnam - Thunder Vietnam - Lightning Vietnam - Cheshire I really thought about listing another England to represent Hawk II but ultimately decided it was too inconclusive. Her background just states that she and Dawn were given the choice as to where to grow up (either the US with their father or the UK with their mother) and each chose different. Since both parents (the mother works for the US State Department) and Dawn seem to be American, I think it's safe to assume Holly probably is too, despite where she grew up. I'm kicking myself for missing Mirage. I had a vague memory of her being Brazilian but when I quickly skimmed her biography I missed that confirmation, so left her off. Oh well. I also almost included an entry for Lagoon Boy under "Atlantis (somewhere outside of)" since his first appearance makes it clear he's newly settled there, but just thought that would confuse things.

Nightrider is indeed our final English character.

The children of the night listen to the music you make TL! They sure do. The cat came into the kitchen while I was singing to '80s radio last night to tell me to shut up. Nightrider is indeed our final English character. Nightrider. I've got to remember this guy's name. I'll connect him with the differently spelled TV show. "Right KITT. Where's the nearest blood bank?..." "YOU HAVE BETRAYED EVERYTHING WE STAND FOR, MICHAEL" "...and then it's down to the docks to prey on the new arrivals!" New Q when I'm next near my comics...

Another guess that would have worked. But this story is a later one, well a bit later, although it still has the same feeling.

Hadn't thought of him. Not Goth. This was an earlier incarnation of the team. Ah, with the Coliseum. Good guess. But no. I'm not sure who Gladiator is actually... Not Dr Light. The villain is musically themed...

It was The Fiddler! The plot also had two bands, targeting different audiences, that apparently hated each other booked for the concert. It turns out they were the same people!

I've never read that issue but I like it when characters fight the random villain of some other hero, like in this issue or when Superman fought Mammoth that time.
New Q soon.

Yes! It was the Hangmen!
Totally weird that characters as forgettable as they were would be remembered and used by both Geoff Johns and Greg Rucka. It would be kinda hilarious if they kept being brought back in events just to be killed off though.
You're up Andy.

They made I think two appearances during the Jay Faerbar run and obviously made such an impression that not one but two of DC's top writers wanted to kill them off completely!

Oh yeah... the wedding was issue 50 wasn't it and it would have been impressive if zombie Tara had caught it. Kole lives on in our hearts Ibby. Have a tissue.

Or Kole
Errr... This is awkward. Far be it from me to be a traditionalist ... There is a usually different audience for the garter belt and the bouquet

Was it Jericho during that awful "ladies-man" phase?

Have another tissue Ibby. She's only (yet another) reboot away from coming back. That should cheer you up, as there will be one along in no time.

The Brave and the Bold is probably DC’s most famous team-up book. 6 Titans received a co-star cover credit during the course of the original book’s run. Please name them.

^ 3 correct.
(Supergirl did team up with Batman in an issue but I would argue it was a different character to the one who eventually joined the Titans.)

TL has it!
Kid Flash, Aqualad and Robin’s adventure in issue #54 is considered the first Teen Titans story, although they were never named as such in the issue.
A pre-teen (but from the other direction; comic books, ladies and gentlemen!) Atom made a number of appearances beginning in issue #53.
And an adult Hawk and Dove made a continuity-iffy (even more so than by the usual TB&tB standards) appearance in issue #181.

A big assist to Ibby for thinking of the Atom.
Ah, that was the grown up H&D in that one. I was thinking they appeared around the time of their creation.

Poor Sammy Soul is a mixed up pop star. His relatives and his manager just want him for his cash. But he flees to find a lost uncle in South America. Unfortunately for Sammy, his uncle shares the same name as the alter ego of which Marvel character?
(Hero(ine) code name or alter ego will be fine, Groovy Guessers!)

Just clarifying: this DC character’s “civilian name” is the same as that of a Marvel hero(ine)?

It's never good when I have to clarify my attempt at clarification Sammy's uncle, who only has a civilian name, matches that of the civilian name of a Marvel character. As I'm not proud, I'll accept either the civilian name they share or just the hero(ine) name of the Marvel character. It's not Beast.

Johnny Storm is a hip '60s name but then Ben Grimm is a good name for an uncle. But it's neither of those. Johnny Storm has definitely appeared in this hero's title as I've read it. I must have got another, as the letters page said that it was an insight into Johnny Storm that hadn't been seen in FF for years.
I imagine they must have all teamed up on numerous occassions as both books are long running franchises. Only the scope is a bit different.

It may be obvious, but is it right? I'm afraid not.
Based on not reading any of these books, I always thought of the Hulk as geographically mobile. Probably because there's only so much in any one place he can smash. The answer. to my knowledge, doesn't leave the city too much.

Thanks for ruling them both out Andy. Zombie Terra was going to be my next guess. Was it Animal Man? They spent lots of time together in titles with rubbish storylines.

Q: which superhero helped Koriand'r choose to live in Key West?
Clues: This was a montage of characters, none of whom are very much associated with Kori The person who actually helped her decide on moving to Key West has never been tight with her (though it made a certain kind of sense)
Not: Animal Man Donna Troy Power Girl Kyle Rayner Any Terra

Q: which superhero helped Koriand'r choose to live in Key West?
Clues: This was a montage of characters, none of whom are very much associated with Kori The person who actually helped her decide on moving to Key West has never been tight with her (though it made a certain kind of sense) Thoth Lad is closest
Not: Animal Man Donna Troy Power Girl Kyle Rayner Any Terra Fire Supergirl Jade Maxima Lois Lane Lana Lang

I had been thinking Terry Long, but it's the same thing But it's not someone Kory has had much of a connection with. If only in Terry's case

I just noticed no one had said Superman yet, even though Supergirl was said to be a close guess.
I suspect that that's the answer but if not, Superboy?

It was indeed SUPERMAN!!!!
In the Starfire series, Kori asks a series of people - including Zatanna, Tim Drake, Arsenal, Cheshire, Fairchild and some character I've never seen - where she should live. They recommend a range of places - including the moon and New Mexico. She reaches out to Superman for advice as another sun-absorbing alien who wants to be around people - and he takes her to Key West. Hysteria ensues
Over to you, Thoth!

thoth heard the last of the midnight chimes as he shuffled across his room towards the bed. He snuffed the solitary candle, removing the remaining light, and what little heat had lingered in the room. It was only when wrapping the threadbare blanket around his withered form that thoth noticed that the chimes had not ceased.
thoth wheezed a sigh, his breath lingering in the wintery air of his dwelling. Chimes. Last year it had been chains. He had spent a fruitful hour disabusing his temporal guests of the notion of an afterlife in the harsh reality beyond their artificial religious constructs. But chimes. It would be a different form of time travel. For the Endless Clock was a sign of Ye Legion Worlde, always a risk when the boundaries between time and space grew thin. He wondered what form they would take: The Wanderer, The Time Cat or the Aetheric Brain. Whatever it was, it would be looking for a riddle.
thoth reached under what seemed to be a plump, feathered pillow; a seemingly luxurious item, at odds with the rest of the establishment. In fact, the item was as thin and tired as its owner. It was, however, supplemented by the Lois Lane Compendium and The Titans Omniverse. His guests would get their quandary, but would they survive to escape back to the future? thoth was incapable of smiling, but a slight twitch could be seen at the corner of one eye, as he waited...
- excerpt from All-Star Dickens, from Earth-23, where DC went back in time to screw the publishing deals of all authors.

The once great Titans, lurking in Thoth's mind, laid their trap. He would be forced, they said, to reread the series when it was bad. The DEO kids, the sons of Trigon, the villainy of hacky characters barely crafted and killed off in another crisis crossover tale. Lo, he would try to resist but here are none who can help. No succor from the drivel.
His one chance - find Bette Kane, Duela Dent, Charlie Parker, Don and Hank Hall, Lillith, Chris King, Mal and Karen Beecher. Find the stories that comfort and inspire. Can he do it?

In an action packed (yes, I managed to find one) issue, two members of the Brotherhood of Evil combined their powers to get to Raven. Which two and how did they do it?

Not Phobia and Plasmus. By "get to her" it was travelling to reach her, which should give a hint.

Yay! Warp used his powers in conjunction with Houngan's fetish to locate Raven. So Warp's powers are a bit more than just teleportation.

Was that Damage? I still remember that as a low point of DC. I didn't quite realise there were so many more to come before I gave up .:)

This is all so funny because Zero Hour actually made me quit reading DC Comics for about 3-4 years too! I remember hating it at the time but now I feel like my memory of it is a lot fonder. Probably because I know how much worse the company would get in later years.
