Yea, most of their line looks like total garbage. I'm still loving Thor, but in terms of "loving" anything else, that's about it. Slott's Amazing Spider-Man is always an enjoyable read for me, but lately it's been going through a bit of a funk, which I hope he can recover from.
I like Astonishing X-Men too so far, but its still very early.
I'll give Captain America by Waid and Samnee a definite try, but I don't like the rumors that they're only there for one arc. I'll try Marvel Two-in-One too, but I have to say my expectations are low. Since I'm already heavily invested in Dr. Strange because of Aaron's run, I'll give Donny Cates a try there too just to find out why the hell Bleeding Cool is pimping his work so much. I also want to try the Falcon since I've always loved the character, andI feel like Marvel has really done him real harm by temporarily making him Captain America--intentions may have been good but all it's done is basically state to the fans that he's second rate when he's not trying to be Cap. Hopefully this series can get past that.
But, when you consider the sheer volume of titles they put out each month, it's insane how much of it just looks like total shit. Admittingly, I felt that way about DC only 2 years ago and they totally turned the ship around to the point where DC today feels like a better company than it has in 20 years. But very little indicates that Marvel is heading down that road. Hopefully they can get it right somehow.
