"And together, I/we will bring balance to the Force!" Or the Farce. (I didn't even notice that! Coincidence... Or was it?) Some people believe in supernatural occurrences for all sorts of things. Obviously, this is nothing of the sort. The evidence that we are telepathic Winathian twins separated, not only at birth, but across time is compelling. But if it is the whole matter/anti-matter war thing, could you drop me a line to tell me who gets to kill Supergirl and Kole this time round?

I will close this Round tomorrow night in case there are more last minute votes. I apologize for the length of this game, but I am used to new people randomly voting in the later rounds. To thoth lad and Set: I think you two will be pleased to know that I plan to run an Egyptian themed Mafia game either late December or early January.

I was going to stop at the Supergirl death reference. But then I realised that you wouldn't believe it was me if I didn't mention Kole. You'd have thought I had been replaced by some dastardly counterpart from a parallel universe like Set

Oh dear, Set has played his Trump card. Clearly a sign that he's more in tune with the Dastard-verse than I

Well done to our Final 3! All good (bad) characters!
I would honestly be happy with any of these characters winning; they all occupy a special sentimental place in my heart. Justice League of America was the first and only comic I collected for a long time and issues starring all three of them were some of the earliest in my collection.
And they're all so different too:
Doctor Destiny - the traditional evil genius/scientist archetype who paid a terrible price for his powers, becoming somewhat sympathetic in the process; a trait Neil Gaimain used to such devastating effect in Sandman. Shaggy Man - the unstoppable monster that forced the League to become more and more entertainingly creative in order to defeat him/them. Starro - the baddie that started it all; the completely alien conqueror that is so unique and unusual in comics, I almost feel like Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky must have been possessed by an alien intelligence in order to create him.
One thing they do all have in common though is their incredibly awesome visual depictions; instantly recognizable appearances that really pop out in crowd scenes.
It's interesting that all three were also used by traditionally more "mature" writers like Neil Gaiman and Grant Morrison in various capacities.
But, although it's hard, I think I'm going to have to give my vote to:
Starro, the Star Conqueror!
He's been used so sparingly over the years but every one of those appearances (that I've read anyway) have been stellar (pardon the pun). He's also at once both so completely anachronistic (a bad starfish...from the stars; it's almost childlike in it's simplicity) and ahead of his time (a bad starfish... from the stars; in what century will that become a stale idea because it's certainly not this one?).
So:
Doctor Destiny 1 Shaggy Man 1 Starro 3

Doctor Destiny who knows the horrors of mankind's dreams; The Shaggy Man representing the unstoppable bestial rage of mankind past, now and undoubtedly of the future; Starro, an intelligence beyond such concerns and unknowable to us as a result.
Shaggy Man 1 Doctor Destiny 2 Starro 3

I've never been a big fan of Destiny, at least not Dr. Destiny so I'm surprised he made it this far. His most memorable tale for me was in Sandman
Hmmm... I'll go
Shaggy Man 3 Doctor Destiny 1 Starro 2

I chose Starro because I've never been disappointed in a Starro story, either! I think there's a reason Starro was used in JLA/Avengers as the first instance of the DCU crossing over into Marvel. Even in the JLI era, I still remember how Starro almost conquered Europe by checkmating the European branch into turning themselves over to his control.

After a thrilling adventure full of twists and turns (and even a gorilla on the cover to sell more issues ) , we have reached the end of the Legion of Doom Idol! Here are the results: Starro 21Shaggy Man 10Dr. Destiny 11As stated before, I will be taking a break from running games for about a month. Around the holidays, I hope to try a Mafia game. If anyone else wants to run another game, feel free to do so. I hope everyone had fun.

Well done to Starro! I think he was a front-runner for a while so it's not a huge surprise to see him win, but it was fun watching/participating in the journey.
Thanks for another great game Emily!
