Dick Martin, part of the creative duo behind Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, passed away last night due to respiratory complications. He was 86.

I loved watching Laugh-In growing up. I don't know if it was the absurdity or the girls, like Goldie Hawn, in the skimpy swimsuits but I always found it entertaining. How many shows can claim they had a presidential nominee on to say their catch phrase and, possibly, help him win the election? Sock it to me?

It sure seems like we're losing the stars of our childhood, doesn't it?

You can bet your Bippy that he will be missed and that many martinis will be raised in his honor.......

I never really saw Laugh-In till I was an adult, but I remember the phrase "Sock it to me" when I was very little.
