This one really breaks my heart. Harvey Korman passed away at the UCLA Medical Center from complications from the rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which he suffered over four months ago.

The chemistry between Korman and Tim Conway on the Carol Burnett show, to me, made them the best comedic duo of the 60's/70's. I rate the two of them, together, higher than Laurel and Hardy or Abbot and Costello.

"My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives."

R.I.P. Mr. Korman. Thank you for many wonderful laughs and fun filled afternoons sitting in front of the TV.

Well, hell. frown

The Carol Burnett Show had -the- best ensemble cast... the chemistry between the four of them was incredible. Their reunion a few years back is one of the few shows I taped that I've watched repeatedly. So sad to hear it'll never be the four of them again.

The first two things I remembered were his role as Count DeMoney ("duh-mo-NAY") in History of the World, Part I ("Don't get saucy with me, Bearnaise!") and his voicing of the Great Gazoo on The Flintstones, oddly enough, but his Carol Burnett sketches really were classics.

RIP

Korman also had his hand in the Carol Burnett Show spinoff, Mama's Family. He directed episodes and sometimes continued to appear as Eunice's husband. I was just watching an episode he directed yesterday.

RIP, Mr. Korman. Thanks for the laughs.

The man was funny, and truly a character. Here's hoping he's laughing it up in the afterlife.

Definitely undervalued while he was living.

He made more people laugh just by laughing himself. Yeah, he was an actor, and he was paid, but if you think about it, he wasn't paid nearly enough. How many of us were having bad days and he brightened them that night just by allowing himself to see the absurdity and lunacy of Tim Conway, or Carol Burnette and cut loose. He wasn't supposed to laugh, it wasn't in the script, but he did.

And because he did people all over the world laughed as well.

That is the mark of a great entertainer. Not showing your private parts to jump start your career, or foul language which i can hear anywhere, even from myself at times, but genuine joy and entertainment something that spun out of control and made us laugh.

Drama is just the parts you sit through for the comedy.

Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
