Maybe the other Legion ring belongs to the Lois Lane from the Smallville show!

Hmm, I'm going with Yera based on that cover.

Imra-- Unlikely, especially given the uncertainty about the fate of her kids. Though she has been a major player in the story, and has been known to cheat in other boots in times of emotional stress.

Lu-- Extremely unikely.

Tinya-- ditto.

Kara-- don't see this happening.

Vi-- I suppose she's currently unattached.

Nura-- probably not.

Ayla-- Hmm... maybe "shocking" is a clue? Apparently back with Timber Wolf, though.

Jeckie-- Another unattached, but I can't imagine it happening.

Shady-- seems like a strong candidate, though I can't see it being made plausible storywise.

Dawnstar-- Unless she becomes "Bounty" between now and then, it's not her.

Mysa-- Extremely unlikely.

Lydda-- maybe, but seems unlikely. Relationship status still unclear, right?

Yera-- I seriously doubt it.

Jenni-- Well, she's unattached.
So would XS be the only Earth born female?

I'm highly amused by all the speculation about Earth Man's "friend." Now watch: it'll turn out to be "just a dream" or something and then we'll all be spitting nails. Tsk. Comics.

Spider Girl?
Why would she have a Legion flight right? Unless she stole it from someone.

If Earthgov dictated that Earth Man must join the Legion, they could just as well add another of their darlings, and that could be Spider Girl. I don't think that's likely, though. She could have snuk in to see Kirt and have a fake ring as a joke. Stolen ring would make a nice story.

I think thats the big point, its going to be a non-earther and the drama that ensues.

Tasmia's been shown with him for the last two issues.
Not as a love interest but as a teammate.

Gosh, I hate the idea of her with him for any reason but I sure hope it's not as a real love interest.
What a betrayal of her friends, station and heritage!

If that happens, I'd have no problem with her meeting her prophesied fate on the Science Astroid!

I don't know if this was posted elsewhere, but on his FB page, Paul Levitz remarked that Phil Jimenez will be handling the art chores on the back-up story in Legion #6!!

I would.

No more fridgings, please. shake

Besides, even if it's her, we have no idea yet whether she's in control of her own mind or not. Remember Dream Girl/Atmos?

Snipping one sentence out of a post can miss the point of what was said, sometimes.

'Fridgings' work for me, especially with my favorite comic character since I was a kid.
Primeboot changed her into a complete creep, but the writers did that to MOST of the Legionnaires of that boot.
If Levitz continues the indignity of making her FALL IN LOVE with EM, the best thing that could happen to her is to be put out of her misery, imo.
That's all.

Okay.
But what I'm asking is XS the only Earth-born female in the Legion? It would seem that she wouldn't be but I can't think of anyone else but Lana Lang.

Presumably XS, even if born on Earth, is still half-Aarokian, for what it's worth.

No, thanks. Seen enough "kill the whore(s)" mentality in the rest of pop culture, thanks.

The cure for bad writing is better writing, which would not be accomplished by bumping the proverbial "scarlet woman" off for the "crime" of sleeping with the wrong dude.

I wasn't crazy about the whole Nura/Atmos pairing. It was creepy, and for the life of me I can't remember now how much of that was intentional on Levitz' part and how much of it was just me thinking, "Oh, merde. They went there."

But at least he didn't compound the ick by subsequently killing her.

Bleah. urk

Shady was killed long ago in the adult Legion saga.
She got a repreave by one of the writers, years later.
That's what I'm refering to.

And I don't care if she sleeps/has sex with EM or even has a child with him but to be made by Levitz to FALL IN LOVE with him betrays everything she's ever been, not counting Legion Prime, where I would have expected that Tasmia to chose Kirk for his ruthless mind and powers.

This isn't about being a 'whore'.
I never said or implied that.

That idea came from your mind, not mine.

An interesting idea that has a lot of merit. It would also explain why Levitz put her in the book in the first place. Remember: He's an insidious genius and he must *not* be stopped!

So that makes her Calabasian?

Sorry, but I'm kind of fascinated by this. I can think of about six Earth-born males in the Legion but at best there have been, what, two Earth-born females in the history of the Legion. I hadn't realized this before and it informs Earth Man in a way that I had not considered.
