Good issue. All the threads are coming together and it looks like Mon's finally going to get some answers form Harmonia Li.
Any guesses on the Blue enemy?

Master Kung is Confucius. "If a man takes no thought about what is distant, he will find sorrow near at hand" is a quotation from chapter 15 of the Analects.

The blue guy was created by his 'master' hundreds of years ago according to Li. So Krona could still have been behind it even if he did die (I don't know if he did either) in the recent Lantern story.

I love the design of the world of wisdom.
I remember an old "Choose Your Own Adventure" book in which the point was to try and reach the world of Utopia, and there was no way to do it within the rules of the book - the page in which you get to Utopia is not led into by any other page, as "Utopia" literally means "place that doesn't exist." (or something like that) I wonder if the unreachable-ness (within reason) of this Utopia is meant along these lines.

Not one of my favorite issues. The story moved along a bit but I'm getting anxious for more answers. Only a couple of more issues, so we're getting there I guess. I was slightly disappointed to see the fill in art. I can't complain too much, though. I like it when books are on time, and would rather see adequate fill ins than late books. This was an adequate fill in.

I like that the different branches are starting to come together - I am starting to think the little blue guy might be Krona's son somehow...I originally thought it was Krona as well, but that doesn't seem to exactly fit. I am still finding the overall story a little disjointed - I don't know how much that has to do with the page length being chopped however so I am okay with it, it's just a shame. Wildfire's suit has been ruptured twice now and it hasn't even been two years...getting a little old Overall I am enjoying this storyline a whole lot more than the Durlan assassin plot...I really feel like Paul is coming more and more into himself with each passing storyline, hopefully by the time the series relaunches we will be back to awesome quality storytelling all the time.

I doubt it's Krona, he's too scientific, this creature is more metaphysical.
If we're meant to know this creature at all, I'd guess we're meant to know him from mythology rather than from comics history.

In spite of not being completely bad LSV's history, he lacks the greatness of the first numbers of baxter series. Some failures of continuity.. As the end of 12 with Atta and Mekt attacking Invisible Kid and Element Lad; that are not with the first page of 13 with only Inmortus in the battle. Few legionaries in every delivery, when it had been very good big battles with many heroes and villains. And though I like many Ultra Boy and Timber Wolf, I do not want to see them constant, as if they were the only ones that can figth. Where are Jeckie, Violet, Chameleon Boy? I Now Saturn Girl and Lightining Lad are coming... And surely they will be those that they save the day, apart from the legionnaire who will die, that I wait is Earth Man.

This issue's almost a week old and only ten posts about it? What's up with that?

I still have yet to get to my CBS this month. To be honest, it used to be a higher priority, but lately I haven't had the 'itch' to run out and get my Legion. The upcoming DC reboot has dulled my appetite for the current stories...

The issue doesn't seem to have generated much of a response at all. It only has 19 posts on the DC message board, which has, sadly, had more robust discussion about new issues than Legion World in recent months.

Ack! That's SO wrong for SO many reasons!
I thought the issue was kind of lame. The LSV is a lot more adept at killing their own members and applicants than they are at killing Legionnaires. Why doesn't the LSH just stay home and let them finish each other off?

I felt #14 was a bit of a letdown. Some major plots points were advanced but it was another issue of the LSH jumping all over the place, only to "just miss" stopping the LSV. And the whole two Mon-el's thing actually may have worked if Paul would have explained WTH was going on??? The issue just felt rushed and really seemed to leave out quite a bit?
I get the feeling that the reduced page count change a few months ago threw Paul for a loop and then got worse when the story had to be finished up before September.

The story is pointlessly drawn out and quite frankly boring. It reminds me of a Soap Opera more than a Comic Book. And, if I wanted a Soap Opera, I'd watch one of the few left on TV because they at least have experience in that genre.

Legion is very much a soap opera. In past discussions of the potential for a live-action Legion movie, I'd always thought it would be fantastic as a daytime soap.
The first year or so of the post-ZH reboot I thought would be very well acted out as a TV soap.

Can anybody explain why there were two Monel's at the end of the issue. Presumably, the green one was a ring-projection, but I'm still confused.
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

The first year or so of the post-ZH reboot I thought would be very well acted out as a TV soap. Karen Berger herself referred to it as such when she was the book's editor, and she didn't mean that as a criticism, either. Though I don't know about the daytime live-action thing. Budget constraints for special effects and all. I'd still rather have animation. (Old-style, not CGI, so long as I'm dreaming out loud here anyway.)

I liked Dawnstar's new costume. Guess we'll only see it for a couple of more issues...
Glad Atta is dead....she was irritating.
So it sure looks like either Star Boy or Earth Man are going to die. Maybe both.

The Mon-El thing happened a few issues ago. The one at HQ is just a projection. Not a lot more explanation of how he could split his consciousness like that. But since he's got a super-charged ring, and our little Yoda-grub guiding him, I suspect that there's some pretty advanced abilities he has access to.

DC Wikia has this as a known ability: Energy Twin: The power ring allows the wearer to create an "energy twin" of his/her/itself that can travel at far greater speeds than that of the ring wielder's physical form. While the energy twin is active the ring wielder remains motionless, his/her/its life force is needed to guide the energy twin. The energy twin can not alter its surroundings and may only be perceived by the Guardians or another ring wielder as a green, ghostlike image. Any knowledge gained by the energy twin is transferred back to the ring wielder's physical form upon recontact with the body. The Guardians frequently used energy twins as a means of contacting a Green Lantern. As a rule, a ring wielder can not create actual, independent duplicates of him/her/itself, as the power ring cannot create life. http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Green_Lantern_Ring

In the wake of the Mon-El's election as leader, there was a quick line in one of the issues to the effect that he was glad he had found a way to be in two places at once.
