AND it has astonishingly BEAUTIFUL artwork to compliment a spawling, epically mythological story!!!

No argument there. It's one of the all-around best DCU miniseries ever published.

bump

Bumping this thread, because with PAD lost to us, I'm going to be rereading a lot of his works in the upcoming months.

A little while ago, I started Supergirl, and just as I was reaching the end of issue 2, the Casting Director in me suddenly pointed out that Matt Ryan (the Arrowverse John Constantine) would be the perfect actor to play Buzz!

Not sure who should play Linda Danvers. 25-30 years ago, Jennifer Garner would have been my first choice. Maybe now, Garner could play Linda's mom, Sylvia.

More thoughts to come.

Great news:

I don't know how this passed me by until today, but it turns out that, since 2021, Marvel has been releasing Peter David's entire X-Factor works in Omnibus format! Volume 1 covers the brief early 1990s run, while Volumes 2, 3, and the upcoming 4 (scheduled for this coming July 15th) cover the really long 2000s run and the really short 2010s run.
