Okay, the Comic Con at San Diego is this weekend, and at least one article online has mentioned Waid discussing his work on other books he is currently writing (Fantastic Four).

Has there been any news bits, to add to the little we know as it is, about the upcoming Legion series?

The only thing mentioned was at the DCU Unlimited panel and it didn't add anymore than what we already know.

We'll get the crossover (Teen Titans/Legion one-shot) in September and it will have a seven page preview of the December Legion of Super-Heroes. Waid did say that he was more excited about the upcoming Legion series than anything he has ever worked on. And Didio said something about Levitz' approval of the new series being very important. Sorry, I didn't tape or take pictures at that one because I really wasn't expecting anything Legion related to come out.

For something that's been hyped as the next #1 hit for DC and Waid stating that "he was more excited about the upcoming Legion series than anything he has ever worked on", it sure seems odd that they didn't do or say more about it at the SD Comic Con.

Waid wanted the approval of Levitz as the former writer of many Legion stories not Levitz the publisher.

Levitz gave his blessing...blah, blah, blah.

Still doesn't ease my worries that the almightly Levitz like this direction.

I keep feeling better and better... strange, given my cynicism with DC's TPTB

They also re-emphasized that this was a "re-imagining" rather than a "reboot". My guess is that means cosmetic and slight history changes, but adhering to current continuity (kinda like how continuity was rewritten, but not rebooted during TMK). I can't think what else "re-imagining" might mean.

A fresh teaser from the Comic Con DCU slideshow , which now available on the front page of dccomics.com.

"The Superboys of today and tomorrow cross paths in September's TEEN TITANS/LEGION SPECIAL ... In the 31th century, the Teen Titans must team up with the Legion of Super-Heroes to face a threat that could destroy the present and the future!"

Synchronize your Hypertime clocks, folks. Cosmetic changes, indeed. smile

Exactly when is the "31th" century?

Wouldn't that be a re-voicing or re-voxing or somesuch instead of a re-imaging though? laugh

Since when do gays channel Cindy Brady? According to my brother, they accentuate their S's. It would be more like "Sssssssuperboy" smile
