While doing some research for some upcoming custom figures, I ran across what I consider to be a little glitch. In the reboot legion try-out issue I saw a male with a rainbow head band that I considered to be the reboot Color Kid.

Later I found a girl in the Star Boy Legends of the Legion mini series that looked like she could be the reboot Color Kid. She had a rainbow type insignia on her shirt.

Can somebody provide me some insight into these two persons as they may or may not relate to the Reboot Color Kid?

As I recall, the group of kids in Legends of the Legion were all designed by Todd Nauck to look like members of the Substitutes.

I believe they were meant to homages more than the reboots, especially seeing as how the try-out issue (Legionnaires #43) had already come out with Night Girl being repeatedly used in that issue along with Polar Boy. Heck, they even showed up again in Legionnaires #49, elluding to having formed their own group of "poor substitutes."

Color Kid, Chlorophyll Kid, and Stone Boy all showed up in the background as well during the try-out issue, or at least individuals who look like them. The cover to that try-out issue also featured Infectious Lass and Antennae Boy somewhere in the background, both of whom also had 'Sub children' counterparts in the Legends story.

Thanks for the heads up. I knew somebody would have a good explanation for me.

Infectious Lass also appeared as an adult on the cover of LEGIONNAIRES 43, as well as having her image used on a small child in the LEGENDS mini.

Y'know, I never thought I'd say this, but... I might miss the reboot Legion. Some of those issues were pretty fun.

That same Legends issue gave us Doro, the closest thing we got to a reboot Calamity King!
