We watched Why Don't You (turn off your TV and go and do something more interesting instead). So we did, and therefore didn't see Sesame St.

Mine gets used once in a while to put a film on. That's about it. Still pay a TV license though.

Vyvyan from The Young Ones: "Yes, we've got a telly!!"

I recall Vyvyan putting his foot through it.

I’m sure there are people who name their kids “Vyvyan” instead of “Vivian”

However you spell it, I like the name. I also always thought *Rosemary* was a great name. But I had a friend in 5th or 6th Grade who used her middle name instead because she preferred that. I was sworn to secrecy regarding what her real first name was.

I know some people who think "Rosemary" sounds a bit old-fashioned

In the Philippines, we have many holdover Spanish names. I never appreciated them, until I started learning Spanish and found out their meanings.

Fe - Faith
Corazon - Heart
Esperanza - Hope
Amor - Love

After Rosemary's Baby, it probably lost a bit of popularity for a while.

Which is a shame, as the kid grew up, threw off all that ushering in an age of darkness stuff, and opened a small craft supply shop, not far from me. Nice guy.

Weezie Simonson (Louise to her mother) wrote my favorite Superman story of all time, Adventures of Superman Annual 3, an alternate-timeline tale where Lois dies in childbirth, and the newly widowed Superman is seduced by Maxima.

I liked that one. Maxima was written with a lot of depth. And Superman's grieving and slowly falling in love with Maxima was also realistic, and not insulting to Lois or their unborn child

Yeah I thought that one was pretty good too. Lots of good emotional hooks without overdoing it and the gradual change of Maxima was a delight to follow.

But I'm brutalized by bass
And terrorized by treble
I'm open to change my mood but
I always get caught in the middle

There's a certain something missing that the treble can't erase
I know you can tell just by looking at my face
A word about my weakness
I'm totally addicted to bass

Puretone sounds like it could be the name of an a capella group somewhere
