So...even though I still procrastinate with my creative work, at least I no longer flit from one incomplete creative project to the next. I've finally learned how to focus!

Now if only I could stop procrastinating with my one single creative project...

Last night, I had a phone chat with my beloved auntie, and she told me, "I went to a women's studies conference last week, and the guest speaker said that she is entirely self-taught, which made her uncomfortable around academics until one of them told her not to worry, it just means you're an INDEPENDENT SCHOLAR. And I thought, that's exactly what you are, Annie -- AN INDEPENDENT SCHOLAR."

Needless to say, that put me on cloud nine.

Well, I had my melanoma excision. The scar reaches from the central meibomian glands of my left eye to the left corner commissure of my lip, but can only get better with time.
The only real difficulty was that for two weeks before the surgery, I had to go off ibuprofen, acetaminophen, aspirin, naproxen, or any other anti-inflammatory painkiller because they also act as blood thinners.
So, you know, increased discomfort from my arthritis.
I was very happy that they recommended I go back on regular ibuprofen for a few days after the surgery.
Still, they say they got all the cancer and now all I have to do is rest and change the dressing daily for the next two weeks.
Good news, all around.

Next time we have a DC/Marvel crossover, I want it to take place in the Hostessverse

Klar, that is absolutely wonderful news, I'm glad the excision was successful and that you can soon go back on painkillers!

Be well my friend, thanks for sharing your big news with us.
