Good times.

Whoo-hoo!! And congrats!!

Uh, 'scuse me. El Sid just stole a piece of pizza crust out of the trash. I better go and get him. Be right back.

Time means little to famed Victorian Time Traveller, and adventurer Annfie Ficklestand.

But for those stuck in normal timelines, here's something to help you Cope.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FICKLES!

Thanks, everybody!

It was a lovely birthday weekend.

And I did pie (Dutch Apple) instead of cake this year.

But I sorta cheated, and put the candles in a festive cupcake. Less messy that way.

That is NOT cheating - we've done it with the kids and it does make it much more efficient.

And the pie sounds awesome.

Weirdly, I turned the radio on to hear a music panel show, with Clare Grogan listening to Julian Cope singing Reward as part of Teardrop Explodes. The trivia was that their name comes from a Marvel comic.

Thanks, GL.

And I can vouch for the pie's awesomeness. CalorieQueen

Yes, an issue of Daredevil guest-starring Namor the Sub-Mariner.

Did Clare get the right answer?

Thanks, J-Pops.

As for missing all the fun, I did forget to mention that I got some awesome graphic novels for presents, including "Rusty Brown" and "Reincarnation Stories."

They played four snippets. The question was to guess the odd one out. The answer was that 3 of the four groups had names based on comics (Teardrop Explodes, Thompson Twins were two), while the fourth group, wasn;t named for a comic, but had a song that was about a comic(Superman in the title by someone I forget)

Some nice person posted the panel on the interweb...

Radio's on... John Gordon Sinclair's is in it... who was in Gregory's girl with Claire Grogan...who we've not mentioned since...

Why, that's another year Stealthily trying to get past. Bit cheeky to be trying to sneak past with that giant cake with all those candles, being carried towards that megalith by SaintJulian and his pals.

Happy Birthday Fickles!

Thanks, everybody!

I had lots of fun.

And lots of pizza. CalorieQueen

Also had a giant black & white muffin, courtesy of the local deli, for the candles and the sing-along.

Thank you, GL.

And the fun goes on -- one of my gifts is the 400 page behind the scenes book about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More entertaining than the actual movies!

Awesome! Those kinds of books are great. I recently bought a similar kind of thing for the Dune movies and the Picard series. Fun to just thumb through as well as read end to end!
