Not him either. Magpie ran into them both, together in the flesh - not staring at either one's likeness.

It was Timber Wolf staring at Light Lass's image/statue.

I remember the scene well. Magpie was a bit bothered by how emotional Brin appeared to be and quickly decided he didn't want to know what was going on. This was in the "Tales" period so a little difficult to absolutely tie to the main book in timetable, but Ayla had returned to the Legion at the end of LOSH #6 which came out one month before this issue so either she hadn't returned yet in this story or she had recently told him that their relationship now had to be "strictly professional".
Actually I just relooked at the story and Magpie was actually intrigued by the soap-opera-ish aspect of Brin and tempted to hang around but took advantage of his distraction to get away from him.
What two Marvel characters cameoed in the second story in the same issue?

Chaim is half right. Kitty Pride is one, but who is offering to buy her a drink?

It is Professor X! On the opening splash page of the second story in Tales LOSH #320 where Sun Boy is trying to chat up a blonde woman, in the background a bald man named Charles offers to buy a young woman a drink and she agrees giving the name Kitty Storm.
Your turn Ibby.

I remember that panel, and also how much Charles really did look like the Prof!
Brainiac 5 had a dream, that his not existing would allow the Legionnaires to live an idyllic, carefree, happy life. Why did he decide to end that dream?

One of the funniest Legion stories ever. He ended it because he didn't want the others to be so happy.

What animal did the villain of Inferno's series appear to her as in her dreams?

It's not a story I particularly cared to read, nor care to remember... but...

Correct, a panda!
And yeah, the story wasn't great. Who in DC Editorial said either "This character needs their own book" or "This is a story that really needs to be published"? I can see them saying "Legion fans will buy anything in order to have a complete collection, let's print some money" but that doesn't explain why her. Koko would have served a money-grab purpose just as easily, and probably been more fun to read about.
