Buck Wargo was not one of Superman's supporting cast.

Not Martian Manhunter either.
Time for a hint: the Title character was a member of the Justice League, but not until after the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Nope. But these last three guesses are the correct era of League membership for the title character

Not Metamorpho.
Hint: At the point in his/her series where the title character met the adventurer Buck Wargo, said title character had no powers.

Nope...but speaking of Aminal Men, a Tiger Man was part of the same supporting cast.

That's the one! When the yellow power ring that Guy was using was deactivated due to Hal Jordan/Parallax's activities, Guy was powerless and sought a source of super-powers - hooking up with adventurer Buck Wargo, whose team was searching for the legendary "Water of the Warriors", leading Guy to discover that he was not entirely human (a very out-there retcon).

When Ma Hunkel became the JSA's HQ caretaker, she also took on a grandmotherly role to a lot of the younger heroes. Which hero specifically calls her a lifesaver?
