shocked

It seemed like a good idea in the midst of a drunken New Year's party.

Now how do I get out of it?

The big peril is having to watch Terry Long hit on Eve.

Evillo could always marry Terry Long

There was a scene cut from Tenzil's time in Tartarus where all Evillo's exes ended up. He was offered the choice between blowing into the bellows of eternity or listening to Terry Long's endless delusional stories about what a babe magnet he was.

I shall avoid struggling professors who date teenagers. I mean, I'm a professor but I'm not struggling (too much) and my low age for dating is late 20s (I think - that's what they say anyway)

OMG

Terry Long is a cautionary tale

As I was trying to come up with a Terry Long joke that hadn't already been re-hashed by myself or anyone else, a light bulb went off in my head:

Could George Perez's visual template for Terry Long have been...Barry Gibb, circa 1978-1979?

NTT #1 is cover-date November 1980.

Think about it.

Thoth, ROTFLMAO

But poor Donna, being married to him was a fate worse than death.

Oh, hang on a minute, Donna died too!

But she got better.

(Or not. Depends on how one defines "better.")

Looking back on the start of the thread: I don't really know why I should've been more disturbed about Terry and Donna than, say:

Hal Jordan going with Arisia because of the loophole of her being artificially aged up. eek eek

Amethyst, the girl in a woman's body dating an adult Prince Topaz (though he ultimately dumped her), urk or

Changeling being obviously maybe thirteen or fourteen and borderline sexually harassing every woman or girl he saw. That one, above all, seems like the worst in retrospect. IRL we know now how that would point to some serious psychological issues on his part. Not just "boys will be boys." shudder

I mean, I always assumed back then that Donna was of legal age: in her early Twenties at least. Perhaps I'm incorrect, though. hmmm

Well, the biggest problem is that its a professor dating his student, which is problematic for a variety of reasons, and generally verboten these days.

Did they start dating while she was his student? I didn't even remember. It's been awhile.

Hmm... a little research, and while I did see at least one source that said she was his student, others are suggesting that she met him right after she graduated, so I'm really sure.

From recent rereads I'd add Aria (child in woman's body) hanging around with Brin, Jamm mind control of women for his gratification and the naked shower pics in the Legion and Legionnaires from the very young cast, onto the disturbingly published by DC list.

Reminds me of the very first appearance of the SW6 Legionnaires cast, where everyone was parading around naked... and very fit, too. certainly didn't look like teens to me.

Must be a lot of vampires in Teeds neck of the woods. But the bubblewrap was a hint. Wrap your neck in bubblewrap and they can't bite through it! Plus the popping bubbles (in their mouths!) drives them crazy, and serves as a warning to you.

If your woods is going to have a neck, you've only yourself to blame if vampires show up.
