There's a mat they sell at my temp job that's meant to be used for yoga. Y'know, some squishy plastic-y stuff in a roll that you can take out when you want a clean/soft space to stretch on, etc. They have a regular version, which is very plain-looking. (I have one like it at home, which really needs more use than it gets.) Then they have a deluxe version with hearts and flowers and other frilly things embossed all over it, a faux-silk cord tie to clasp it when it's rolled up, etc. It's called...

Every time they hand me one of these things to gift wrap for some wealthy, well-maintained Yuppie, all I can think of is asking somebody to "Come up and check out my new Loooooove Mat." I end up snerking for five minutes like an eight-year-old and sticking the tape everywhere but to the stupid-a** gift package.

It's a good thing that I don't work retail.

Years ago, I had a mail-order subscription service through Mile High Comics. Their customer service was so shoddy, however, that I cancelled it after a few months. Maybe they've changed since then.

Believe me, they have. Although, from my last order, there was one book missing, but they included a check for the same amount I paid for the book.

I'll give any interested party five dollars (U.S.) to slap Kid Rock in the head with a big fish.
