They could use one, couldn't they? Too busy formulating and not enough time on making fashion statements....

It struck me that there are only three (or two) hairstyles - the buzzcut, with a few indents here and there, the bun and the ponytail (which may just be the bun coming undone). We're not certain if this is gender-specific, since at least one "he" wears his hair in a bun. Their bodies look asexual, as well - no bustlines visible.

They all appear to wear varieties of tunic as well. Did B5 not merit one, or did he discard his when he left town?

(Also, no children visible. Do they spring full grown from the forehead of the parent?)

Bah! Mere humans simply lack the intelligence to recognize the wide variety within Coluan fashion styles.

The only Coluan we know of that has no bun or ponytail is Brainy, and from how many half-undone buns we saw, I suspect the ponytails were really just buns that came loose. All that appeared to have none were seen fron the front, or an angle where the bun could be hidden.

In ancient Japan, severing the topknot was a sign of renouncing one's ties to the country. Anyone think Brainy's haircut could have simular cultural ramifications? His different clothing style could be construed as further evidence of his turning his back on his culture if one wants to look at purely physical characteristics.

Good point about severing the topknot!
